It's a shame we can't RING the alarm.
This is just crazy. I think some of us can spot a cockroach a 100 miles away.
Fans should be able to have direct communication with Mike (or at least drop him a line or something). I mean EVERY CEO of a major corporation can be written to. Why can't we alert Mike??
This is just a disaster WAITING to happen.
Amen. Here is a little prayer that works in most cases as a reminder of keeping yourself grounded.......
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can
- and the wisdon to know the difference..
I know this is a AA prayer, but it works well in other situations to...
Hold on! Hold on! There is a person named Michelle Rowe in there (Copyright Infringement), and "Rowe International Corp" which have nothing to do with Leonard Rowe. The R. Kelly trouble is right though. But let's all calm down a bit
Michael is set to earn upwards of $500 mil from this tour. I want him to keep that money in HIS pockets. I would hate to see Michael dancing and singing his ass off for 50 or more days only to check his take home pay and find $1,000 left in it. I'm just sayin.
I've asked yall what exactly does the manager do, but no one has answered yet. He is called a PROMOTER, but isn't that what AEG Live is?.....concert and tour promoters? So why would Michael need this guy to promote? If this article is true....which I have my doubts....
WHAT EXACTLY IS LEONARD ROWE BEING HIRED TO DO?
Anyone?
The answer may be in the first part of the release. This is what it says...Michael is set to earn upwards of $500 mil from this tour. I want him to keep that money in HIS pockets. I would hate to see Michael dancing and singing his ass off for 50 or more days only to check his take home pay and find $1,000 left in it. I'm just sayin.

It seems like MJ wants Leonard to handle the business side of things while he is taking care of the music side of it. Mike can't be in both places at once.Michael Jackson, universally acclaimed as the King of Pop, today named Leonard Rowe, the legendary concert promoter from Atlanta, as his new Manager. Rowe succeeds Dr. Tohme Tohme.
“I am very pleased that Leonard has accepted my offer to manage my business affairs during this important period in my career,” stated Jackson. He added, “Leonard Rowe has been a long-time friend and business associate whose judgment I have come to trust.”
According to the press release, Rowe is now Michael's business manager. He will manage all of Michael's business affairs much like Dieter Wiesner, Dr. Tohme and Raymone Bain did in the past. Rowe will seek out deals and present them to Michael. He might have Power of Attorney and if that is the case, can make business decisions for Michael and have signature power. Rowe can negotiate contracts on Michael's behalf now and will have first approval or denial of any business proposition. In summation, he handles every aspect of Michael's business affairs.
Michael could not hire him as a promoter because that would be a direct breach of contract with AEG.
Ok, that "power of attorney" part is the part I don't like. I don't think Raymone had power of attorney. I heard rumors taht Deiter had it. But when you say "business deals", do you mean as it relates to the tour? You don't mean as it relates to other areas of his life like Sony/ATV, Neverland and other business ventures he may have, right?
Michael will be aiight. If not, chalk it up to another lesson learned.
say what....come again??IMO we need to stop riding his nuts...especially wihout facts.....
say what....come again??
Now why would I stop doing that?:hysterical:
ok swrry...I'm stop NOW! Lord forgive me. lolh34r:h34r:h34r: I couldn't resist. lol
Michael has always been private about his personal and business dealings. The most respectful thing we can do is continue to give that to him. I'm sure that there are friends and associates of his with his best interest at heart who can and do talk to him about potential pitfalls, etc. The difference is those people can give a much more honest assessment and valid advice because they know him, his thinking, his personality out of the view of cameras, etc. We can not do that--no matter how long we have been fans and no matter how much love we have for him.
If we truly want what's best for him, that is where we hope he gets advice and information -- not unsolicited such from strangers who do not know the smallest of details in his life. I trust that he is capable of being loved and respected by people actually in his personal life, so I know that he has those around him who has his best interest at heart and will warn him when they suspect trouble. Again, from information from the trial, we learned that he does have these people in his life who are not simply "yes" people; Chris Tucker is an example; Lionel Richie is another example as shown in the recent article; Michael is going to him for input and advice; Steve Harvey is another example when he recently said that he always tries to talk to MJ about different things. But none of those people are going to tell publicly personal or business affairs that they discuss with him because of their actual personal relationship.
And again, what's uncontrollable to these personal friends and associates and most importantly to the fans is MJ's decision of whether to heed any given advice or not.
So, when he does or doesn't, the only one that fans can cast a doubtful eye at would be MJ. But, really, that probably isn't in our business to do such either. He has people looking after him; let's let them fulfill their roles as friends and family and then we can hold up the roles of fans.
I think Michael will be okay but don't be surprised in a year or two if Michael sues this guy for fraud. It seems that everyone Rowe has worked with sued him. There is no need for Rowe to "ORGANIZE" Michael's concerts.
And he's been sued by more than just R. Kelly and Neyo. His wife was sued by Sony BMG for copyright infringement, his company federally investigated and charged with racketeering. American Talent Agency sued Rowe Entertainment for fraud and misrepresentation. It's a laundry list of bad deeds and Rowe Entertainment has lost almost each time. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this isn't a reputable company and JUST because MICHAEL hired him doesn't mean he's going to shape up and do the right thing. You don't hire crooks and criminals because when you do you get bad results.
Look though guys, classic is right in that we can't have a damn heart attack every time Michael gets involved with someone who appears less then stellar to us. The best policy to take regarding Michael's employees is that we never fully trust any of them or get personally attatched to any of them, because they can be gone in a hot minute, but we also have to put some faith in Michael's judgement. Now Michael's been known in the past to be overly-trusting, and that's true about him. He has been. But Michael also is extremely, extremely intelligent. He is NOT stupid by any means, and he knows that now is the worst time to allow his business and/or personal affairs to be sabatoged. He isn't going to allow anyone to come in and ransack his plans. Look how quickly he dumped Tohme. I think he did that because he saw Tohme had already gotten him in to some trouble and he wasn't going to allow that to go any further. I think Michael is seriously taking a no-nonsense approach to his workers now and won't hesitate to fire their asses at the first sign of trouble. If this Rowe guy starts any shit, I can bet you a million bucks Michael will drop him like a hot patato. Michael said to Geraldo that he would no longer be as trusting as he once was, and I believe him. I think Michael will give you ONE chance now, and if you f*ck up, then you're f*cked, bottom line.
*picturing myself riding Michael's nuts!.....ouch! :bugeyed*.
