I love michael and i think he was a massive people pleaser- but i dont understand how that is an excuse? u arrive late back to the hotel but u call uri dont you? say ur going to be late? or anticipated that u were going to be late at the hotel and tried to go earlier or missed sleep and gone? i dont understand :( then the article says he was late ot a have a pre-speech dinner in oxford and didnt got in the end :( but why? and why didint he tell them? i know he;s incredibly busy guy and relally i shud cut him some slack probably wanted his own time or his kids needed something or he was freaking fed up of media circus. but a simple call to someone to say you will be late maybe? unless he did. i dont know. i dont understand it.

It's the same with Arvizo case, media said they found a book with nude children in it, in his house. Later it was revealed that this book was
given by a fan to him, and wasn't about nude children. Just a art book of some sort....nothing to do with pornography.

About Geller, several fans dislike him and say he sold MJ for 200,000 to Bashir. But wasn't it that Uri recommended Michael to do this interview with Bashir cause Bashir's doc o Diana was positive and good? If that's the case...it means Uri didn't know that Bashir was this snake.

IMO Uri Geller was never a real friend to Michael. He was just another user who played friend until Michael caught on.

No REAL friend would divulge publicly something he asked under hypnosis - and he asked that question without Michael's permission, anyhow. He just wanted to satisfy his own curiosity. Friends don't do that.

No REAL friend would put out private footage like that, especially with some of the crappy things included.

No REAL friend would be all over the television every chance he got talking all about HIMSELF and "I told him so". Even if anything he said was true (which I sure as hell doubt), what on earth is the point? Especially when the tox results aren't even out yet? Again, no one who really loved or even cared about Michael would do that. The only possible point to any of it is to promote HIMSELF.

Uri Geller is only about Uri Geller. Sadly, the only way he can get any fame or publicity anymore and for quite some time has been to use Michael's name. Again, no REAL friend would do that.

I thought this documentary was very amateurish really. It was obviously very hastily put-together. I didn't particularly enjoy it.
I didn't like the bit about Michael being two hours late for Uri's wedding. I hope he called or something.
I loved that he sat in the seats reserved for elected politicians in the Parliament!

I don't see why people here seem to dislike Uri so much.
I don't see there as being any proof he got money from Bashir/ITV.
Although, it is curious as to what Uri's intentions were in doing this interview, especially if money was involved.
I did like the rare footage we got to see - the bit in Harrod's is the best :) .

I laughed while listening to Michael's phone message. "Now I hear that Nsync and all these other people are trying to go. I wanna be first." :lol: Reminded me of when he said "I wanna win this thing" during the Easter Egg hunt. He's so competitive...:lol:

Did everyone really think it was that bad! I mean come on.
I understand that Uri Geller May be looking to gain publicity from this and re start his career but.....I truley believe from that interview he was truley sorry for introducing Michael and Bashir i felt that from him. He never knew what Bashir would do to him, and as Michaels friend and knowing Bashir interviewed Diana who wouldnt of thought it wouldnt of worked? He never knew it would do that.
And if that bit is true about Michael asking after him, surely Michael must of forgave. And maybe so should we because do you no what?!?! There are people out there at the moment the doctors, various members of his team etc that deserve slating and negative discussion way more than Uri Geller. Is Uri Geller a suspect of manslaughter of Micahel? No so give him a bit of a break his not all bad!
I found the docu very emtional and truly believed he was sorry - and realised what his actions had resulted in.

That's what I think too....
Come on I mean who I really hate is Bashir, Sneddon, Chandler his lawyer and the arvizo family....they have his blood on their hands..and of course the people who didn't care and told him to do the 50 shows...
But Uri? Hmm..no..I mean of course he was not his best friend...but to hate him soo much?

Im not Naive at all thanks, no need to be soo bloody rude either maybe if you had been bothered to read my post above.
People in this forum are just becoming so insensitive and rude!!! In the words on Peter Griffin It really beginging to gring my gears!

Okay so if he did get paid for it.....then at least I had an oppertunity to watch that and see some funny enlightening Michael Memorys. And after the last month of tabloid shit it was good to see something fun about michael.

lol he hardly did it for the fans did he. the same fans hes threatenging to sue for calling him out. why didnt he sell this footage when mj was still here? cause he knew there was always a chance he could get back into mjs world and didnt want to annoy mike. now within days of his death he goes running to the media with his tapes to cash in.

Everyone is making money now...I understand a true friend wouldn't do that.
But why do we have to HATE him so much?
Like I said before, there are people who really harmed him, they derserve it to be hated...

I didn't see the whole interview..but to me it doesn't sound bad what he says, of course it's a little bit hypocrtitical to say all the things now...but the award for the biggest hypocrite goes to Bashir.

I'm glad there are other people who don't hate Uri so much, I could undesrstand disliking him, sure, but hate is a very strong word to use. Ok, maybe he got paid for the footage, why not? Today people are telling me how they thought MJ was so misunderstood after watching this! I'm glad he shared his videos and thoughts with us for whatever reason. Who's to say he doesn't feel guilty? I think he does. As others have said there are other much worse people to spend our energy on.

edit: I understand that fans are getting quite aggressive after MJ's death but that's no excuse to attack others.

I never said I hated the guy. I'm very conscious of not using that word as I don't like it at all. Just putting that out there.

I got a question for all the people who think this is ok...do you believe what he said about waking MJ up from the 'aftermath' of drugs?

Yes he did, but we're no longer talking about the fact that he made a doco. We're discussing what the doco was about.
The footage he showed, some of the things he chose to focus on like retelling the story of Michael's lost childhood, the Oxford speech + Joseph, Peter Pan, the disabled boy who lept into Michael's arms...that all fights the "molestation" myth and I'm thankful for that.

I personally don't have any strong feelings for or against Uri.
Basically, no matter what this show was about, Uri can't win with some fans.
