And I ain't bullsh*tin either. :p

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

Y'all ain't lying. This is some crazy stuff. I honestly can't even comprehend this stuff anymore. BTW, where are the "objective" fans at? Those ones that love to sit there and try to assume that this "Prince" is nice and Mike should have doen this and that so this "Prince" wouldn't do this to him? Where are y'all at?

It's not about assuming the Prince is nice, or placing any blame on Michael. This is not a stab at ANY fan of any type but judging from this thread alone, and all previous lawsuit related threads but whenever there is a problem with Michael legally, some people like to jump straight on the "Michael the poor lil lamb is caught in the iron-sight of a scheming and evil money-hungry man" bandwagon.

I believe Michael should win this case, no doubt. However when it first comes to light that there is a problem (I mean ALL of his problems legally), I will not jump straight on the "Michael is innocent" parade and find ways to show why Michael has done no wrong by simply stating that It's not in his nature, or something to that effect.

The way I see it is that I dont personally know Michael at all, so theres no way I can pass judgement without considering both sides of the coin and the POSSIBILITY that Michael may be in the wrong. I also can't assume Michael's mental or physical state because yet again, i've not ever come into contact with Michael on a personal level.

This is not a stab at you Bee, or the way you think. I'm merely trying to explain how I approach matters such as this.

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

Darn I'm getting lost here. But this case is messed up. They keep saying that things exist (like that so-called contract) But can't prove anything with documentation. If they can't prove anything, then what is going on here? This "Michael said, the Prince said, somebody else said" stuff isn't going to solve this increasingly hecka mess.

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

What statement from Michael are we talking about? And exactly what did Jermaine say?

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

Man, after today's testimony, I'm surprised that the Prince let this case proceed. He must have been thinking that MJ would buckle before this case actually got before a Judge.

Now look, the "ice cream" story is one thing, but this whole non-existing company, draft agreement, no copies of anything. And as far as I'm concerned he was even throwing money at the video guy. Putting all of those folks up at the Dorchester. Seems like the Prince wanted to be in the music business so badly, that there were no limits as to how much money was thrown around.

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

How the heck did this case ever make it to court? I mean...don't they have to prove that there IS a case to begin with? Without an actual copy of the contract, there's really no case, considering it's a case of "breach of contract." If I were the judge, I'd ask to see the contract first, then decide whether it's worthy to be heard in court. And yes, it's obvious that Michael was lied to...him not being told that the company didn't exist. If that were me, and the business venture started out on lies, especially concerning contracts, that would send up red flags in my head and make me very suspicious of future endeavors with the prince. Maybe Michael sensed something was wrong, and when he figured out what happened, he left back then. And like I said in a previous post, Michael is extremely picky and selective of the songs, etc. that he accepts to sing that are written by other people. Maybe the songs that the prince wrote weren't any good, and the prince has hurt feelings over that.

Anyone???? What statement from Michael ? And what is this stuff about Jermaine? (i haven't really been following the updates closely)

And look where it got him, now everybody knows that homebody doesn't have a record company. He's a big ole fraud!

I mean, MJ aside, how many folks has the Prince told his "record label" story to, during his travels around the world. Rubbing elbows with this one and that one and talking about his "record label," that doesn't exist. LOL!

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

One last time.....What statement from Michael? Cause i've check MJworld and also the main MJcommunity page but there's nothing about it. And neither anything about Jermaine...if someone could explain me these two things...would be GREAT!

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

This is totally wack. This label doesn't even exsist. Michael's claim of false representation and misunderstanding is already proven in that fact alone. And this Barnes guy saying Michael's voice was only at 65-70% of what it usually is is proof enough that he wasn't physically okay, even a year later. Michael can't back out of a contract which doesn't exsist, for a company which doesn't exsist. The Prince misrepresented what he was offering Michael, flat out lied at certain points, and just the whole way he went about this is shady and wrong. I can't actually wait to see what Michael has to say. There's no case on the Prince's side as it is. Michael testifying will only drive that point home further. Without there being a contract, without Michael's signiture on an actually legally binding contract, and without an actual company, the whole $7 million the Prince is asking for then becomes based on the money he spent on Michael while in Bahrain and London, and from testimony coming from Grace, it's already been backed up that those things were presented to Michael as a gift, which is what Michael and his lawyer said from jump. Screw this crap.

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

Safford, there is no statement from Michael. He will be testifying on Monday in this case.

Jermaine is the one who got Michael involved with this Prince in the first place, that's what people are talking about regarding him.

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

Will transcripts from this trial ever be available?

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

probally not

Thanks alot, i thought i read about a statement from here in here..ah well.

What i hate so much about things like this is how radio channels and stuff give their own opinion right away...on dutch radio station Veronica...the radio host told the story about how Mike thought they were gifts and the host went like 'Suuuuuuuuuure you did Michael, come on now " ....for some reason people most of the time choose to believe the person that isn't Michael....F that nonsense.

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

People, a gentle reminder. This is a Michael Jackson board, not a Prince of Bahrain board? There is a trend here that I hope you will consider and alter. That trend is when there is actual trial news, that is what is discussed. When there is not, such as in the evening/night in the U.S., fans seem to turn on each other. This is not productive, or helpful to anyone.

We know certain facts that have come out in attorneys' statements and testimony. We also know that Michael said he thought those things were GIFTS. That is what he said, and I for one, believe him. We also know that Michael does NOT want to travel to England. Please let's be supportive of him and one-another.

peace,

Victoria

Yeah, it's easier for them that way. They try to grab on to any excuse they can for their treatement of and attitude towards him. It's ultra lame.

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

There was also a descrepency about the vocal that Michael had recorded for the song. The Sheik was telling the world that Michael sounded brillant, when in actual fact John Barnes who has worked for Michael for over 20 years and has heard him sing more times than anyone in this court thought Michael's voice was at that time only 65% to 70% of the force it usually is

:bugeyed

Now, if the mans own damn voice was'nt 100% does anyone think his mental capabilities were any better during that period? Easy victim for those inclined to be predators!

Once again Mike's being shafted!

Mariemarie, you just brought me back to the beginning of ninth grade, 1998!

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

Hasn't been Mike been in more problems with other people, like folks that arrange concerts and things like that? I remember some things from it....claiming that Mike owed them money and such.

Re: Prince of Bahrain vs MJ Trial Thread: (UPDATE: Michael to testify next week) [threads MERGED]

Reading about Guy Holmes testimony made me angry. Why didn't he say something to Michael? He knew that this company didn't exist and just sat back and let Michael do something that has now gotten him in trouble. Sure, Michael should have been more aware of what was happening at the time about. And seems to me now like Michael (or as some people have mentioned, the King ), smelled a rat before things got worse if that was possible and Michael got out of there as fast as he could. But still, Guy was Michael's manager for gosh sakes. Wasn't looking out for Michael's best interest part of his job?

that's what had always happened to Michael.
People know something but they didn't CARE to tell him. They keep quiet and just sitting
there watching him going into trouble.

George Lopez is one example.
He smelled something is wrong with the Arvizo family and refused to give them further help so they eventually were introduced to Michael to get whatever help. And George Lopez knows it and he had the chance to tell Michael but he didn't BOTHER to tell.

The thing with MJ is he is TOO trusting.
