I believe 'Breaking News' lead vocals are not 100% MJ and I want to talk about it here

This song is going to sound even worse when placed alongside tracks like Hold My Hand. It's like day and night.

it's james porte another mj site admit it,open your ears, michael would never release that sh!it........

a member named McKgenie just posted the album credits, from McKgenie's source at Sony, and it has zero vocal credits to Michael for Breaking News. since then, McKgenie has been told by the source to take down the credits, and since then, McKgenie's thread has been locked and removed.

wonder what other confessions will be made...maybe none if they see this post. i guess they need time to change back to saying Michael sang on it. but now, i don't believe Michael wrote the song, either.

well..i rechecked and it's not removed, as of now, but the thread is locked. sorry about the partial misinformation, but my vision isn't that good..but..it's good enough to see what i needed to see, when i switch my computer to big print and look close up.

MJstar has, they said they ask to hear the album but where rejected!:mello: So now they will only support 7 tracks not the 3 from the Casio's!

mkgenie requested himself that his thread be locked after Sony asked him to delete the information.

ok but this proves that the credits are official,so michael isn;t the lead singer on BN ,THANK YOUUUUUU,I KNEW IT,SONY DIDN'T FOOL US ALL......if we love michael we should scream the truth....THANK GOD..!!

What You want to suggest with that?

It was not only BN, where no credit was given on vocals!

There were NO credits for the lead vocals ON ANY SONG, except for Another Day (on this track the lead vocals were mentioned)!!

You need no credits for lead vocals, on a Michael Jackson - Album!

Because on a Michael Jackson Album, all lead vocals are by Michael Jackson!
(which is what i'm 110% sure of!)

And if the lead vocals aren't by MJ, or You think so, anybody and You can bring SONY/Estate to court and sue them.
You can all do, Randy could, all the jacksons could. But no one will AND WHY??
'Cause all you would have, is the big L as the outcome!
LOOOOSE!

i don't believe the chorus is MJ, but the verses & ad-libs seem authentic or "the real deal" to me ....i mean for any MJ fan, MJ's voice!! ..you just know it when you hear it ..but when i heard this, i just didn't believe it was Michael ..

I don't hear any Mike on there except the parts lifted from You Rock My World and Got The Hots.

I thought I heard Mike on some ad-libs in th background (like "You just indulge!"), but when I hear the acapella, it doesn't sound like him.

I am with you.

Only the you rock my world parts and the in the closet "hee hee".

What I don't get is, are we like 10% left who don't think it's Michael (at least not in the verses)?

Since the Estate press release, it seems most of the fans are trying to ignore everything negative and are excited to buy "Michael". Like nothing ever happened! - and now you could hear 100% Michael on BN (which you can't).
I'm still undecided whether or not to buy the album as I really don't want to support fakes on one hand, on the other hand I'd love to hear new MJ music and there definitely ARE songs with true MJ vocals on it.

Yeah, it only took a press release from the Estate for a lot of people to change their minds. Amazing, isn't it? This is why politicians and businessman and the mass media can do anything they like with common people.....

uhm...you haven't looked at past MJ albums...his lead vocals were always mentioned. so...i wouldn't mind taking sony/estate to court...and i would win..

This is what most likely I will do!? I will have to unfortunately wait until the whole album is leaked online!...:( Or borrow anyone who has it that I know and hear not only the 3 questionable songs but, also all others tracks that we haven't even heard yet and then determine what the hell I will do?

And if by miracle I hear BN sound more like MJ (like Teddy said he would do) and hopefully KYHU too? Then I will buy the album! Cause I will not buy, a ipod just for this when I don't do digital downloads! I'm keeping it old school! I like My Cd's in hand, while they still make them! lol

I swear to god this B.S better not happen with future MJ releases? Because they are 9 more tracks from the Casio's! They got the estate to buy 12 from them and the "Michael" CD is only getting 3! O_O Imagine if the new next release have the same questionable vocals! I wonder what people would think then? lol Would they still say "let's keep the legacy going?" Hmmf

Just buy the real songs separately. Don't support this crap.

I would... but given the actual CD only costs about 10 bucks it wouldn't make much sense to buy wav files. I rather would have a physical medium, too. On the other hand, I don't want to support a product "polluted" with fakes. It's a no win situation...

Yes, exactly!! To me it's a miracle... like most of the fans have been "brainwashed"! To me it feels they don't want their excitement of the album be destroyed no matter what. Unlike it seemed before, they don't seem to really care about Michael's legacy...

According to all the speculations about the song Breaking News i just got the idea to check the situation in the FOR THE RECORD Book! the book was written by Chris Cadman & Craig Halstead and contains a discographic chronological list of all released and unreleased material by Michael Jackson and seems very trustfull and 100 % realistic to me! I checked the updated 2nd edition that was revised and expanded and was issued shortly after Michael´s passing !

I tried to find songs that were leaked on www the last few month.

I found "Do you know where your children are"(Song Michael cited he had written in his court deposition in November 1993-remains unreleased) & "Much too soon"(Song Michael wrote circa 1981 and cited by him in his court deposition in November 1993) in the official section of released songs!!!

I also tried to find Breaking News. I found NOTHING in relate of that song in that book. Only a song called Breaking and a song called Monster in the FAKE SECTION!!!

I haven't exactly been posting too much about this, because it seems like an endless discussion.. But there's no way for me to be excited about this new album, because things are just not right

ATM I can't listen to BN any more, because I heard it too many times, it became so familiar to my ears that I started to hear more Michael in it. My first impression of it was WTF and I have to trust what I heard the first 1-10 times. But I think that's where the problem is for many people...becoming familiar with the sound, all the propaganda AND the huge desire to hear new MJ songs make you believe there's nothing wrong with the track. I'm glad I have my fiancé, he's not a fan but has a lot of respect for Michael as a musician. If my ears begin to lie, I will ask what he hears - he has become quite familiar with Michael's voice because he can't avoid hearing it at home :cheeky:

When the album comes out, I will find a way to hear those two further Cascio tracks. And if they don't sound real to me my heart will break. I really want this to be a great album, I want it to continue Michael's legacy, I want to buy it! I could live with one suspicious track but not with three, so I would end up buying just seven tracks separately :mello: That's at least how I feel about it now.

@ MJsBack
Thanks for posting that info. :) I'd like to think the book is quite trustful, but whether it actually contains every single song..I guess it's impossible to say.

I think it was more the fact that the statement consisted of them mentioning a lot of people who have worked with Michael believing they are Michael's vocals. As well as them further stating that they had tests done.

Which is ridiculous really, there is nothing to back up these claims. No evidence of tests being done, we only got official statements from about 2 of the people mentioned in the statement.

Honestly, they could claim anything they want and people will just take their word for it.

I think they just find it hard to believe that people in high places like that, with so much at stake would just lie to the public. Truth is, its happened before and it will happen again.

They can call me stubborn all they want, but reading that statement didnt change my mind even in the slightest.....the reason I am so stubborn is because I have been listening to that voice everyday for years and know it like the back of my hand, nobody has ever had to tell me or prove to me that its Michael on a song before.

A silly statement will never affect what I hear on that song, nothing can change that.

The worst thing is, Keep Your Head Up and and Monster sound even worse to me.......Breaking News sounds the most real, with Keep Your Head Up in second place and Monster last.

I'm curious, are you planing to buy mp3 or flac / wav (= uncompressed files)?

To me it doesn't make much sense to buy 7 files when you can get the whole album (with booklet and CD that won't be gone after the next harddisk crash) for approx. the same price.

It does, if you don't want to support the album.

Your buying 7 MICHAEL JACKSON files.

Or you could just download it when it leaks in a week or two.

That would be the point, you're right. Anybody know if a wav or flac version will be available (officially) and how much one track would cost?

Yeah, I agree. They dropped the name "Bruce Swedien" in that statement and everybody believes it. First I'd like to hear it from Bruce's mouth and then we can discuss further. Dominic Cascio claimed in his FB that Quincy was among those who agreed it was MJ, but from recent interviews of Q it seems it wasn't true, so what makes us sure the Estate is telling the truth and nothing but the truth? The statement wasn't even an official Estate press release. It was released only to fan forums. Wonder why.
