Did MJ Find Love In The Dark (continued)

Beautiful! Thank You So Very Much for all of you hard work, AllForMJ!

The things that he's saying in "One More Chance" are revealing he wasn't just having simple thoughts about someone. He was having serious feelings for her. There is no way that any kind of love, like love from an indecisive person, could have gotten him through what was coming next. He needed true love or it was not going to be enough for him. The photos from 2001 are showing us that he was very weary back then. If he had stayed that way and had been dragged through that unwarranted trial too, he would not have been able to cope with all of that. He would have died before 2009. Thank God he received what he had been searching for, and that she brought it to him in time as he said in “The Way You Love Me.”

So, do you think that he wasn't able to fight in '93 because he didn't feel he had that?

Edit: Maybe he needed someone to "stand by him." I 've been having unusual experiences when it comes to songs on the radio lately. I remember hearing the song, "Stand By Me" about this same time last year on t.v. as part of the movie by the same name, and then having a dream about MJ with this song playing once again in the background of this dream. Then last night I was listening to a very sweet wedding song, and it is one that is played often, but I remember thinking that I've always been fond of the song, "Stand By Me" for a wedding song eventhough I know people would disagree with me because it is not the kind of song people usually pick. It is not real syruppy and sweet, sweet, sweet like people tend to like them. It's kind of unique. But I like it anyway. I really love the melody and the lyrics. Well, after listening to that other song, I was thinking, I really wish I coul hear "Stand By Me," and then I turned the dial to some fast-paced song that was going off and immediately afterward, what did I hear but the very recognizable opening beats of this song ...

Well, I think the fans were the greatest force for Michael. He always felt our infinite love all the time and he knew he'd be there for him. In this case, I can only think of the fans for the loyalty and love for Michael.

It's just my opinion.

^ That video is cute! :D

Hey, MP...remember that dream you had once involving that very song? Veeeeeery interesting!

I was just sittin' outside having some quiet and doin' some contemplating... and I was considering AllForMJ's post and what basically was being "said" about what this special love that God brought to Michael "on time" was actually doing for him. And then this song came into my head. It's a song I rarely think of and couldn't even think of who was the one who sang it. So I just now looked it up and of all people it's a Jackie Wilson song. Now we know who very much loved and appreciated Jackie Wilson, now don't we? :)

Here's the song and the lyrics:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1odvp-_bhk

Higher and Higher

Your love, liftin' me higher
Than I've ever been lifted before
So keep it up, quench my desire
And I'll be at your side forevermore

You know your love (your love keeps liftin' me)
Keeps on liftin' (your love keeps liftin' me)
Higher (liftin' me, liftin' me), higher, and higher (higher)
I said your love (your love keeps liftin' me)
Keeps on (liftin' me, liftin' me)
Liftin' me (liftin' me) higher and higher (higher)

Now once I was downhearted
Disappointment was my closest friend
But then you came and it soon departed
And you know it never showed its face again

That's why your love (your love keeps liftin' me)
Keeps on liftin' (your love keeps liftin' me)
Higher (liftin' me, liftin' me), higher, and higher (higher)
I said your love (your love keeps liftin' me)
Keeps on (liftin' me, liftin' me)
Liftin' me (liftin' me) higher and higher (higher)
Awww

I'm so glad I finally found you
Yes, that one in a million girls
And I wish my lovin' arms around ya
Honey, I can stand up and face the world

Let me tell ya your love (your love keeps liftin' me)
Keeps on liftin' (your love keeps liftin' me)
Higher (liftin' me, liftin' me), higher, and higher (higher)
I said your love (your love keeps liftin' me)
Keeps on (liftin' me, liftin' me)
Liftin' me (liftin' me) higher and higher (higher)

This song makes you want to clap along. Go Jackie go.

Wow!:wild: That woman's love really did wonders for Jackie - whoever she was! Did you see how he was jumpin' around in that video? I even saw some MJ moves in there - and this was before MJ! lol! And you're right, the enthusiasm in the song is contagious! Thanks for posting this, queen g! I've always loved this song!

Also...

We have had "This Is It." Well, another song besides "Stand By Me" that has been following me around since about this same time last year is "This Will Be." I guess it must be her response to "This Is It"! lol!

Edit:

Hey, MP...remember that dream you had once involving that very song? Veeeeeery interesting!

Yeah, I remember that dream very well, and I wonder why it has just so happened to pop up again about the same time this year! Hmmm ... Oh, dear, let us fasten our everlovin' seatbelts again (if they are still in good condition from last year!). Haha! Just joking! MP jokes! Hahaha! *nervous laughter*

And Ash, that video was funny! I especially liked the part where Pumba (unsure of the spelling) says, "I don't think I like this song" because of all the bad things happening to him! Hilarious!

Whoops. I just went back through to some recent posts and saw how you had edited in all about that dream and Stand By Me and all. I hadn't noticed. Well, I am your witness! You really did talk to me about that Stand By Me dream almost exactly a year ago. I think maybe late May?
It seemed it had some significance then, and I think it might have some significance now. Don't discount it.

Collectively, posters in this thread have shared so many interesting things they have either "sensed" ...or felt was a strange coincidence and shared it, and sometimes I think some of us may be typing things that we don't even realize are having some impact in some way involving this mysterious love story. Maybe one day we will find out. Maybe God has been leading us more than we know and He truly has been using this thread for His purposes. Either way, I hope He's glorified through it. And I think He may be yet. Hang in there all, and let's see what happens.

Great post there, queen g!:) No, I won't discount anything. And I just wanna clarify that I don't feel anything negative necessarily, though, and I think that's a good sign. I think this time around it just means that we need to be supportive of each other and "hang in there" as you say.

I too think we are all being used by God and I also hope and believe that He will be glorified. His Will will be done in the end afterall. I say we just sit tight and enjoy the ride. Weeeeeee ...

Oh. Well, the reason I asked is because it seems more than likely that MJ had a love or love(s) in the dark, but he also had some loves in the light whom he also professed his undying love for.

The word "love" can have a variety of related but distinct meanings in different contexts. Often, other languages use multiple words to express some of the different concepts that English relies mainly on "love" to encapsulate; one example is the plurality of Greek words for "love." Cultural differences in conceptualizing love thus make it doubly difficult to establish any universal definition.

Although the nature or essence of love is a subject of frequent debate, different aspects of the word can be clarified by determining what isn't love. As a general expression of positive sentiment (a stronger form of like), love is commonly contrasted with hate (or neutral apathy); as a less sexual and more emotionally intimate form of romantic attachment, love is commonly contrasted with lust; and as an interpersonal relationship with romantic overtones, love is commonly contrasted with friendship, although other definitions of the word love may be applied to close friendships in certain contexts.

Two hands forming the outline of a heart shape.

Because of the complex and abstract nature of love, discourse on love is commonly reduced to a thought-terminating cliché, and there are a number of common proverbs regarding love, from Virgil's "Love conquers all" to the Beatles' "All you need is love." St. Thomas Aquinas, following Aristotle, defines love as "to will the good of another." Bertrand Russell describes love as a condition of "absolute value," as opposed to relative value. Philosopher Gottfried Leibniz said that love is "to be delighted by the happiness of another."

Ancient Greek

Greek distinguishes several different senses in which the word "love" is used. For example, Ancient Greek has the words philia, eros, agape, storge, and xenia. However, with Greek (as with many other languages), it has been historically difficult to separate the meanings of these words totally. At the same time, the Ancient Greek text of the Bible has examples of the verb agapo having the same meaning as phileo.

Agape (ἀγάπη agápē) means love in modern-day Greek. The term s'agapo means I love you in Greek. The word agapo is the verb I love. It generally refers to a "pure," ideal type of love, rather than the physical attraction suggested by eros. However, there are some examples of agape used to mean the same as eros. It has also been translated as "love of the soul."

Eros (ἔρως érōs) (from the Greek deity Eros) is passionate love, with sensual desire and longing. The Greek word erota means in love. Plato refined his own definition. Although eros is initially felt for a person, with contemplation it becomes an appreciation of the beauty within that person, or even becomes appreciation of beauty itself. Eros helps the soul recall knowledge of beauty and contributes to an understanding of spiritual truth. Lovers and philosophers are all inspired to seek truth by eros. Some translations list it as "love of the body."

Philia (φιλία philía), a dispassionate virtuous love, was a concept developed by Aristotle. It includes loyalty to friends, family, and community, and requires virtue, equality, and familiarity. Philia is motivated by practical reasons; one or both of the parties benefit from the relationship. It can also mean "love of the mind."

Storge (στοργή storgē) is natural affection, like that felt by parents for offspring.

Xenia (ξενία xenía), hospitality, was an extremely important practice in Ancient Greece. It was an almost ritualized friendship formed between a host and his guest, who could previously have been strangers. The host fed and provided quarters for the guest, who was expected to repay only with gratitude. The importance of this can be seen throughout Greek mythology—in particular, Homer's Iliad and Odyssey.

Therefore, like ALL Human Beings...Mr.Jackson had love (s) that truly touched HIS life in one way or another...

I think MJ was very much a man with the same wants/needs as any man, or woman for that matter, and he probably was not as complex as people think.

Is it possible to be deeply in love with more than one person at the same time?

Same time deeply in love, no. Throughout life at different times, possibly. I believe there are different ways to love more than one person. We all have qualities that make us unique to one another and I believe that it is possible that we love people individually in completely separate ways. But deeply, nah. I don't believe you can give of yourself in the present moment completely if your mind/thoughts, emotions, physical presence, etc.. is about being with more than just that one person. Not only is that a head trip, you'd be cheating yourself and your partner and that is not true love imo. I personally would rather be by myself than be wondering if the man I'm with has his mind, emotions, and physical presence elsewhere. Some people can do it, but to me that would be nothing short of self torture. Passion, romance, and all those beautiful things when you are deeply in love should be with one person and one person only imo.

Yes, and certainly many people have lived this kind of experience, but in my opinion, this is not love, it's passion. For me love and passion are two completely different things.

Being deeply in love for more than one person = confusion of feelings and many doubts. Fact.

No man can love the same time more than one woman and no woman can love while more than one man. This really is not love. I see it as passion (have several passions), you have feelings with different intensities for each of these passions, will never be the same with each. Such an experience causes a great reflection on the situation and force the person to make a decision. In the end, you will have to decide and realize who you really love and can only be with one person. You can only truly love one person. This is law and fact.

I really like all of your replies. I too think we are attracted to different people at different times for different reasons. I think the same was true for MJ. He probably found qualities that he admired in each person he was with at the time. He also probably felt he could relate to each person he was with in different ways too.

I do of his, my own words. Very well put!

I think every person at different times add much in our lives. Love often shows itself in different ways and situations.
But love is only every second.

¨To be great, be whole:
Nothing your exaggerates or deletes.
Be whole in everything.
Put as you are
At least what you do
So in every lake the moon shines throughout,
Because the moon live high¨
