Open Letter

For those of you that have questioned the oracle of my presence;

Susie is sharing what and who Susie has always and will forever be ALL about...

I am a brutally honest individual, I have never asked for anything and do not expect anything in return...I have been called weird, some think I am very deep, and yes on "many" occasions there have been some that even felt I was the man himself...

Therefore;

I have always loathed "the one (s)" that boast, the self absorbed, self promoting, money grubbing individuals for personal and or public gain..!

For me, Reflection (s) of Thought (s) of the past and present HIStory are of a cherished and unique reality that I have not only personally experienced throughout my journey in life but has continued to flow for decades...

Please do not ask me to explain the who (s), the how (s), the what (s), and why (s)...that is not important...

On that note, I would like to share with you one of those precious, and very cherished moments I will "never" forget that my nearest and dearest best friend shared with me...

Hello, LITD gang...

I'll tell you what brought me into the thread today. I was watching a video that happened to have playing through it the full song version of Someone in the Dark. Now I admit to rarely having listened to this song, even though this thread is all about it...I'm not one to need to really listen to every MJ song out there, but I remember having listened to it a few times awhile back because of this thread. I just hadn't paid that much attention to it.

When I listened to it just now I was mesmerized by it, to be frank. I listened to it three times over. It is a very beautiful ballad...starting right with the intro, which includes some very magical sounds and accents that brings to mind Tinkerbell and her pixie dust tingling. And the ending, as well, is very lovely, which, if anyone knows, is that a rainstick that is used there briefly at the end?

Something also got my attention and that was hearing ET in the middle of that song saying his "thank you" to Eliot (such a small, and seemingly inconsequential human boy...), in such a sweet, humble, deep and honest way...it has such meaning. The authenticity of it all, and the simplicity of ET's true heart. And then I began to think about MJ and his LITD girl.

Do you think if "she" had been blessed with the opportunity to speak to him in person, after all that time of waiting, that she would have in that same, pure, humble, deep and honest way, looked at him, and said to him so openly, such a "Thank you"...a transparent thank you so filled with gratitude and emotion for his having loved her and for believing in her in secret for so many, many years? How could the realization of that not overwhelm her with emotion and intense gratitude, how could she not have said to him with tear-filled eyes, "Thank you"?

Yes, very, very true. There is no getting around the fact that Michael Jackson was a very special and unique and amazing, extraordinary man...the King of Pop afterall...a very beloved giant superstar. And I would be remiss to not include that heart of gold of his. We would all agree, too, I think, that he was beautiful from the inside out. :yes:

And one would say Elliot should thank his lucky stars for having the love and friendship of one also so extraordinary...an extaordinary being from another planet, an alien visitor.

But I wasn't comparing the LITD girl with Elliot, or viewing E.T. as the superstar Michael Jackson.

E.T. was thankful to Elliot for being the one individual in the whole world who stuck by him and loved him with a pure heart. It didn't matter to E.T. what Elliot's standing was with those of the rest of the world, what mattered to E.T. was the boy's amazingly honest heart, and enduring love for him...that this boy truly wanted the friendship and connection with him, even though E.T. was different.

I guess what I'm saying, is perhaps the kind of "Thank you" I am referring to that MJ's LITD would maybe have extended to him, if given the chance (and like we say, she might have had the chance), would have more to do with her, than who he is in the world's eyes, and even if he wasn't Michael Jackson, but any guy that showed her after all these years he kept steadfast in his love for her, that any ol' guy would get that same "Thank you."

Does that make sense?

In fact, come to think of it, I know a real life story, a gal who had a high school boyfriend, but in this case he was very on fire for God and she wasn't so much, and he felt God was telling him to not be in a relationship at that time with a girl. So he broke up with her and it broke her heart, but she tried to understand. Then they graduated and they went their separate ways.

In the meantime she got away from God, and began a life that many do when they are feeling lost and confused. She ended up marrying a man who didn't believe in God at all, and had a baby with him, and then this little family moved across the street from my close friend...about six years ago. My friend in the meantime asks God to please use her in the neighborhood to draw others to Him...and soon her own little girl befriends their little girl. And over time, my friend did in fact draw this gal back to the Lord. The gal has a beautiful heart for God now. Unfortunately her marriage became impossible and a divorce happened.

One month after the divorce her brother tells her someone was asking about her on his facebook account...it was her high school boyfriend. So the two of them started connecting with one another through facebook and she tells him she is following the Lord closely these days, and he tells her he never, ever stopped praying for her and thinking about her throughout the years. He told her he was asking God to please let him find her one day.

They are getting married in June.

How do you think she felt when this man told her how his heart remained pointed towards her all those years? Humbled? Incredibly grateful? And this is no Michael Jackson. He is just a man. But then again, so is Michael Jackson.

This is so touching what you wrote. It seems hard to see him as "just a man" sometimes, but I guess in spite of his extreme talent and fame, and not to mention all the other things that make him special and unique, underneath it all lies a simple man with simple needs.

You make excellent points, MP. I think it is unfortunate though, that his being who he was in his celebrity had to always be present in her way of evaluating things. Too hard to think of him without remembering his famous side, I guess. Bummer. I wonder if she ever wished, once finding this man who she felt she belonged with so well, was not a celebrity. And if she did like the way he was a celebrity...hmm...I kinda wonder about her. I guess I kind of like to envision her liking him first and then snapping her fingers like "oh, shoot, he would have to be a celebrity....maaan!" but then quickly said (and I always remember this young wise sixteen year old girl saying this once) "Well, ya gotta take them as they come!" (She actually married that guy two years later, and she had said that in response to her friend laughing and pointing out that he was wearing shorts to work which revealed a pair of legs a little on the thin side).

What I am doing is asking one person on even ground with me a question. I am seeking to understand why you keep double posting after being told not to, and inquiring if the reason is because you don't know how to edit, which is giving you the benefit of the doubt. Isn't it?

If we can help you learn how to edit then all will be good. No more double posting! Why should you have a problem with this? It's quite simple.

So this shouldn't be taken personally. Just correct the situation and things will be okay.

Let me explain... when one member does a whole bunch of posts in a row it can take away from the thread. Many sites all over the net have this "no double posting rule" in place. Enforcing that rule doesn't mean anyone is personally against the member, it's just to keep the forum tidy. MJJC actually I have noted is more leniant than many sites out there regarding this rule...they allow a member here and there to double post. It's just when it seems excessive they step in for the good of the site or the particular thread. Nothing ever personal in it. :no:
