I know. Why is life so cruel like that sometimes? Or... is there a logical explaination for something like that? I think life is just too short. In a situation like that, you probably wouldn't be able to help but think about all that you missed with that person - holidays, the change of seasons, regular ol' ordinary days, having children with them, romancing, etc. Well, I'm sure you could fill in the rest. You'd probably feel you missed a lot, to put it simply. The sad thing is, in this life you can get just about everything back that you lost, but you can never get back TIME.
How beautiful to "make a baby" with the one you truly love. I remember bringing this couple up in the past, Johnny Cash and June Carter. They waited years to have the chance to be together (in a way that lined up with the Lord) but June was, I think, forty at the time and did get pregnant after they married and they had a son together. Aww, God was so good to them in that way. But if you are in your fifties or sixties...that is something it would seem you'd have to give up on, unless God pulls a Sarah and allows the woman to have a baby in her "old age."

You really should! Walk the Line. I remember June saying (read it somewhere...) at a time long after they were married that "I've always loved John, and he's always loved me." And yet, how sticky to admit that, for during most of that time he was married and a few times she was married as well. She wrote the lyrics to "Ring of Fire" because as she said herself at the time "I love a man I have no right to" and it burned... loving him hurt so bad. They couldn't be together. So it burned her in the inside like a ring of fire.

I wonder if fans were able to "let go" of MJ this way very easily when he was married to LMP and DR? Did it make things harder if they felt that both times he was maybe not with the one he was supposed to be with...that something didn't seem quite right with the marriages? There is no way that any kind of love, like love from an indecisive person, could have gotten him through what was coming next. He needed true love or it was not going to be enough for him. If he had stayed that way and had been dragged through that unwarranted trial too, he would not have been able to cope with all of that. He would have died before 2009. Thank God he received what he had been searching for, and that she brought it to him in time as he said in “The Way You Love Me.”
Love that is not just passed on to someone as a mere figure of speech, but is acted upon in its true form and purpose, that is the kind of love that is sent by God Himself, and it works wonders when the one on the receiving end and the one on the giving end are both obedient to God simultaneously. It does exactly what God created it to do. Since MJ always gave love freely, he would be able to tell if the love he is receiving is real or not. Look at the hand gesture that he's doing while singing "Why does she do me this way?" His hand gesture is revealing that he really wanted to know as if it was mind boggling to him. Yet at the same time, there was one thing that he was certain of, and that is that he wanted to keep her around.
Also, in "This Is It" he mentions the word "understand," as he has in other songs, but there is something different about the way that he used it this time in comparison to how he used it a couple of albums back. For example, in the songs "Give In To Me" and "Childhood," he used it in a way that shows disappointment.
