Did MJ Find Love In The Dark (continued)

popping my head in quickly to say:

i love you ALL, very, very, much.

MIMIK

Awww, I bet you say that to all the girls ;)

(lol, sorry, it was begging to be said)

Okay y'all!! We're going to go back to having the fun we were having!!! Because no matter how many times this thread will veer off into a direction that has nothing to do with love and romance, Michael Joseph Jackson will STILL be that sexy man that he is!!!

SO, I'm going to try and pretend like it did not go where it was going and get back to doing what I was doing. And no matter what was said or is said or will be said, I will still have to finish posting LYRIC INTERPRETATIONS for the rest of the songs that were provided by mimik the owl that likes to stay up all night!!

PLUS...I had too nice of a weekend in Los Angeles with my sons checking out MJ's exhibit!!! And you guys!!! I went inside of his tour bus before I left!!! You know how some people have been saying MJ has this aroma of vanilla and chocolate going on?!!

IT'S TRUE!!! The inside of his tour bus smelled like VANILLA AND CHOCOLATE!!!

I do think that particular post of mine was a bit much, queen g, I agree.

Love.him, I can honestly tell you, that as a believer in God, and a Christian, and one who has blown it many times over in front of others, giving many, no doubt, a good basis to say this very same thing to me, all due to my own frailty and at times foolishness, that still...if someone said this to me, it would hurt me very, very much.

Are you really wanting to say something this hurtful and offending here to another?

It's okay, AllForMJ, I'm thinking maybe you are not understanding what I meant by this, and there is no need to discuss it further. I know it is difficult for you (technically) to converse via PMs, but if we could do it that way, behind the scenes from now on, then I would be willing to talk with you some more on this, but no longer here in the thread. Okay?

That's always a good sign. I'm looking forward to see what happens next too. :)

:) thank you guys. I read it to my son who wanted to hear more when I got to the end, so that was a pretty nice compliment knowing he approved.

(aww thank you sos too, I will remember this post after every time I write something ;) )

Nice one :)

Hello allforMJ. I look forward to reading more of your thoughts but I have to ask, just so I am sure, and because of what you have underlined and bolded, which may or may not be saying something more, Do you not want the mini story I starting posting, in here? Would you rather I move it to it's own thread since it is not lyric interpretation? Just so you know, I am going to keep asking till you answer that question ;) ...lol. To avoid hard feelings in case you don't want it here and think I should be able to figure that out. I can't figure it out. Let me know one way or another please. :) Whether you like it, and it can stay, or you'd rather it wasn't in here. I'm fine either way and understand if you think it doesn't belong.

Maybe you could clarify your intentions for this thread and where you would like to see it headed?

There should be no hard feelings here and we should respect the opinion of each one, after all love the same person: Michael Jackson. There will always be different views and always discuss a healthy and fun way respecting and listening to the views of others. So we will not break the wonderful climate that was there! :) And that our discussion healthy and fun continue...

What will be the next theme to be discussed? :)

Shannon we realize there was an issue with playing nice but I think we as mature human beings finally got all that the negative energy under control...

It's a sweet story! Keep going! :flowers:

Looking forward to the continuation of Ape's story and AllforMJ's interpretations :flowers:

It's nice to see that peace somewhat came back to this thread and forum. What was that first line in "Hold my hand" again?.....This life don't last forever if I ain't mistaken.

Well then...why waste it in confrontations, of any kind? This song has already been commented upon in this thread, but why don't we all give it another listen and be reminded of the joy felt last summer when, for the first time in years we got to hear Mr. Jackson's crisp, wonderful voice sing such beautiful notes of love and harmony?

And since there were some rumors going around about a potential 'humanitarian' video here goes a YouTube link featurin' good ol' wonderful earth, aka 'a capricious anomaly in the sea of space' :) to make the package complete http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkOXN8VmvYY

PEACE and LOVE

anymore music interpretations, anyone? allformj, you have been doing a good job. i await more.
Ya, I think AllforMJ has been doing grrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!!!! And everyone else - not too shabby!!!:clapping:
She certainly has!!! But, ALLforMJ, you are not at the moment being the most considerate to "Off The Wall" era, MJ, who's stuck in a limo... while you, no doubt, are out somewhere swimming up a storm in the depths of the HIStory Ocean. (lookin' forward to your discoveries, though)
Thank you AllforMJ I have always appreciated your honesty and heartfelt approach since the Inception of this thread! You have been nothing other than the uthmost respectful (sometimes funny as heck yes) of michael In all you've written since page 1 ! what I see Is you giving voice to michael's voice ( his music/lyrics) a place he can finally be heard above all the noise! Continue what you do and know many do recieve It well...
This is a beautiful and selfless thread and I can only pray it continues to be...

I am honored to be apart of it.
AllForMJ Please continue...and Ape what happened with the King & the Princess..?

AllForMJ, hopefully this very beloved thread has no need to die. Your very many intelligent and insightful posts have blessed and stimulated so many here.

I'm sure everyone would say, "We want more!!!!" :D
AllforMJ, you're doing an amazing job of uncovering so much meaning in the music. . . and really looking forward to what you do with that list! :cheeky: that way you could give the individual eras a rest. Its undoubtedly exhaustive work.
Okay, here's a recap of the albums from "Off The Wall" on up to "Thriller 25." I'm also going to continue interpreting the remainder of MimiK's list of songs since I've already found links to post from Youtube.

Off The Wall, Thriller, Bad - MJ is singing love songs where he sounds very passionate and he sounds very happy while singing about intimacy. You hear him playfully making kissing sounds in P.Y.T. He is having loads of fun during the recording sessions. When you can look at pictures of him during these time periods and see that he looks very vibrant and he is smiling a lot. He's even laughing in one of the songs. Things are going very well. Yet, it is during the "Bad" era that he starts feeling a bit agitated. At the end of the "Bad" album the last song is "Leave Me Alone." The video for "Leave Me Alone" shows he did not like the articles that were being written about him. Other than this, he was pretty much having a good time.

Dangerous - He's starting to record love songs about relationships ending. That's what you hear in "Who Is It," "Can't Let Her Get Away" and "If You Don't Love Me." This a sign that he is not having as much fun as he was having during the previous albums. Something is happening with his women. The way he sounds in "Who Is It" is a clear indication. He's crying painful tears during this album. He doesn't sound moderately hurt like he did in "She's Out Of My Life" on the "Off The Wall" album. He sounds deeply hurt. There's a major difference in the way he's crying in the two songs. The songs of unfulfillment on the "Dangerous" album are overlapping with being badgered by the tabloids. He's being hurt by those inside his life as well as those outside of his life.

HIStory - He stopped recording love songs. Instead, he is in an all out battle with the outside forces. He is now being terribly mistreated in more than one way. He's even making it publicly known that he is very upset with the tabloids. During this period in time he is not acting playful like he was during the first three solo albums. When you look at pictures of him he still looks vibrant, but all know he is not happy. He's also on the verge of experiencing more heartbreak than ever before as far as relationships are concerned.

Blood On The Dance Floor - By the time he reaches this era, he starts singing about things that clearly indicates he is getting depressed. His feeling about women start to change somewhat and his songs are saying the love and romance is not there, time being spent with women is starting to feel like it's mainly physical. When you look at pictures of him from this time period and listen to him, it's not hard to tell his is not in a playful mood at all. Around this period in time, he leaves the music scene.

Invincible - He comes back to the music scene after being gone for a long time. He's singing love songs that are about not getting played by a heartbreaker. He's being proactive with this person. He's singing about someone else playing hard to get and someone else making it hard for him to understand what she wants from him those his feelings for her are strong. He's singing in a pleading voice about not wanting to lose this person and is also crying tears of deep frustration. He's even mentioning the word pain in several of the songs on this album. In addition to this, he mentions pain during actual one on one interviews. When you look at him in pictures, he looks like all of the madness has taken a toll on him. He looks exhausted because the pain has been unyielding. You don't see him smiling hardly ever. His overall demeanor is matching the type of sad love songs that he placed on the "Invincible" CD. He's no longer just crying in private. He's shedding tears out in the open.

Number Ones - In "One More Chance" he's singing about searching for someone that he has fallen in love with. He's also starting to smile again during this period in time. It's obvious he's had a sudden burst of energy. He sounds strong while he is singing and not like he's feeling down. There's an upturn occurring. When you look at pictures of him from this period in time, you see he's starting to look vibrant again and he is also smiling and laughing again. The playfulness is coming back. But, of course, he soon goes through the most grueling thing he's ever had to go through in his life.

The Ultimate Collection - He's releasing songs about being in love and liking the way he's being treated by someone he is in love with. He's saying he likes the way he's being loved, held, touched and kissed and that he will let them see. He actually released more than one love song and all of them are saying he is feeling loved and very comfortable with the person. He actually released a love song where he says over and over that he is in love. This is a song that was for a previous recording session, but he put it away for some reason. He brings this song out during this time period as it appears to have the words that he's now feeling. And, during this time period, he is literally going through a court battle where he is fighting for his life and freedom, but when you look at him he looks more vibrant than ever and he is smiling through the majority of the court battle. It is only when he gets near the very end that he shows obvious signs of being tired. But, he quickly bounces back once he's had some time to rest following his historic victory.

Thriller 25 - He goes back to working on songs that are very upbeat. These are the remixes. In one there's a mentioning of a negligee. In another there are jeans being peeled off like a tangerine. MJ himself is the Executive Producer of this album. Therefore, MJ himself is happy with what is being said. This shows he is feeling playful again will working on his music. When you look at pictures of him during this period in time, he's looking vibrant again, he's smiling more than ever and his eyes are twinkling as well while he is smiling.

Now, take a close look at the below verses from various songs from "Dangerous" on up to "Thriller 25" and you will see exactly where MJ started leaning on his spirituality. You hear him speaking in Biblical terms in the songs listed below.

Dangerous Sessions (1990-1992)

Who Is It:
* Someone hurt my soul now
* I pray this punishment would have mercy on me

Jam:
* False prophets cry of doom
* She pray to God, to Buddha

Heal The World:
* This world is Heavenly
* Be God's glow
* See the nations turn their swords Into plowshares (this is a Bible verse)

Black Or White:
* I am tired of this devil

Give In To Me:
* Tell it to the preacher

Will You Be There:
* Hold me like the River Jordan
* A man should be faithful
* I will feel blessed
* In my trials and my tribulations

Dangerous:
* For the lips of a strange woman drop as a honeycomb and her mouth was smoother than oil

The above line in the song "Dangerous" is from Proverbs 5:3.

Actually, the entire song "Dangerous" is about Proverbs 5 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=24&chapter=5&version=9&context=chapter

Keep The Faith:
* Just keep your eyes on the prize (this is a Bible verse)

Someone Put Your Hand Out:
* The truth is that I'm longing for love that's so divine. I've searched this whole wishing she'll be there time after time
* When we pray will you promise me that you'll always stay

"Someone Put Your Hand Out" shows MJ started looking to God to assist him in finding a woman. He wanted someone that believes in prayer. This shows he wanted a woman that would seek God's answers along side him.

HIStory Sessions (1995 - 1996)

You Are Not Alone:
* I can hear your prayers. Your burden I will bear.

(Something new has come to me about the song "You Are Not Alone." I will provide a breakdown later.)

Scream:
* Oh father, please have mercy 'cause I just can't take it

They Don't Care About Us:
* Oh for God's sake. I look to heaven to fulfill its prophecy. Set me free

Stranger In Moscow:
* Armageddon of the brain

Invincible (2000 - 2001)

Speechless:
* My head's spinning like a carousel, so silently I pray
* Nothing's real, but all is possible if God is on my side

Don't Walk Away:
* Should I get down on my knees and pray

The Ultimate Collection (2004)

The Way You Love Me: (recorded in 2004)
* I thank the Heavens above that I met you

We've Had Enough: (recorded in 2004)
* Deep in my soul, baby
* Just let God decide

Thriller 25 (2008)

For All Time: (w/new bridge)
* Somebody once said, it's the soul that matters
* Oh, and on these quiet days where souls embrace so silently

All of the above songs, starting from "Dangerous" on through to "Thriller 25," shows MJ started leaning on his spirituality to deal with his dilemmas. Notice that it was during the "Dangerous" era that the madness started increasing. It made absolute sense for MJ to start leaning on his spirituality at that point in time. It was the wisest thing to do as the true believer that he is.

Notice that he continued leaning on his spirituality all the way up to "Thriller 25." And, look at what he said to his mother in the thank you section of the "Thriller 25" CD cover...

"My mother, Katherine, you are the rock of our family, whom I love so very much. Thank you for your love, strength, compassion, spiritual wisdom and guidance..

Who was the first teacher in his life? His mother was. She's the one that fed him at birth. She's the one that placed him on his path to spirituality. She's the one that placed it in his to lean on when needed.

Now, when we look at all of the spiritual terms in his songs, and we look back at what all he has been through as far as relationships with women, and in having to deal with adversity, what do we see?

Here's another example. In the song "Speechless" he said, "Nothing's real, but all is possible, if God is on my side." During the trial he said , "God and the truth are on our side. We will be victorious."

What do we see?

We see that MJ's songs do coincide with things that are taking place in his life and that God does indeed answer.

We also hear MJ saying he has found true love and that his soul has been touched by a woman in a very beautiful way. Their souls are embracing and he is thrilled.

Therefore, the love story continues, as the mystery unfolds...

Okay y'all!! We're going to go back to having the fun we were having!!! Because no matter how many times this thread will veer off into a direction that has nothing to do with love and romance, Michael Joseph Jackson will STILL be that sexy man that he is!!!

IT'S TRUE!!! The inside of his tour bus smelled like VANILLA AND CHOCOLATE!!!

OMG!! I'd be in heaven on that bus!! My two favorite flavors!!

Hey, I wonder if MJ read my post about the chocolate covered caramel corn??

I dunno if it's just me, but sometimes it seems like I can see "faces" in that big glob of popcorn. Perhaps I'm a little paranoid.

*Raises hand* BTW, I have a question. Does anyone understand the meaning behind the song, Unbreakable? It was one of the songs on the list of love songs to interpret. Could it have been a mistake or something? No matter how many times I listen to it or read the lyrics, I can't see how it is a "love" song.

MIMIK

Huh, that was pretty interesting queen g. I never thought of it this way. I guess it is possible. Sorta like he's "mimicking" her or mimicking what he "believes" she is thinking or something. Now I'm gonna have to go and listen to it again, but from her perspective this time. It's gonna get real funny when I get to the "rap" part, lol!
