Thanks! I thought the same, but I can't fit it anywhere in Xscape song. Just hope it's not a sample but rather a similar instrumentation.

Different countries gets the chart released on a different day. In the US Billboard publishes it on Wednesday, in the UK it's on Sunday and some countries like NZ, Germany etc. on Friday. So yea, you can have a worldwide release, but why miss days of sales for the first week? Piracy has always been there and will always be there.

You know I am so happy to say I know nothing about mastering, mixing, all this sound business. All I know is I put the MJ killer CD in my system and I sit back and enjoy every single song over and over again and have a huge smile on my face. It is MJ and I loooove every beat and every vocal chord that comes out of every song! :chillin:

This does look very cool.

I think this the 2000 WMA's could also be used very well, specially the part from 2:49 on, where he says that he's proud to be an entertainer and the famous quote "You ain't seen nothing yet!". And then, when he does that move at 3:15, the sound of Xscape would start.

OnirMJ, you are correct as I forgot Tricky’s version should not be on the deluxe cd. However the leaked songs being released in the state Michael last worked on them (and as many have heard them), as per Shields, could be a risk in my view.

Qbee said she preferred the 2008 mix of APWNN to the contemporized mix but, she may prefer the contemporized mix after a few more listens. Rogue radio DJs might compare the Xscape 2002 mix to the contemporized mix for example. If enough listeners prefer the original mixes, it will be a negative for this release. To prevent that, I believe those completed mixes will not be on the cd and we will hear more basic versions.

I am very interested in how this will be handled. I will be listening to the originals first on the deluxe.

Serendipity, Billboard is not the only respected chart. Beyonce, a SONY artist by the way, did quite well releasing her current cd on one date worldwide with Itunes.

Some fans will of course prefer some of the Original versions. Deluxe is aimed for the fans. But regular non fan people will prefer new versions. Originals are great but they will sound dated or unfinished to them.

Agreed. That is why I said previously I am glad all songs were contemporized bar none because the first complaint would be dated sounds.

On the reverse end, I believe all originals will be similar in being elementary to prevent some of the dissatisfaction that may occur between the two versions.

I believe the originals will not be in the form we recognized them. The only song that will be an exact match to the form we recognize will be LNFSG. That is an acappella with a piano (and fingersnaps). I believe they will reduce others like Xscape to similar elementary forms.

Blue Gangster. Hope the producers made the right decision to mix the song
into an acapella-version.

It is the only reason why they are releasing it. It hurts so bad to see how his later work (better, the best work he did) is constantly ignored on purpose. Classic MJ should be Dangerous and HIStory, that is classic MJ. I understand how frustrating that was to Michael.

Get over it dude, you're like a kid that can't get his way. You are the only person that constantly complains and cries about ONE song because it's not what you want.
Also, if the attention and recognition that Thriller still receives till this day makes you frustrated then you might as well get use to it cause that will never change.

I wonder how much different tracks like DYKWYCA and Blue Gangsta sound compared to the ones that leaked. For example...will we still hear the guitars in DYKWYCA?

Billboard is the official chart in the US. Just as other countries have an official chart. And they get released on different days, hence the different release days.

Just because Beyonce took a risk and it worked, doesn't mean it will work for others. Most other artists wouldn't fare as well and i don't see a posthumous release doing it.

Beyonce is also the hottest artist out there and her album was highly anticipated for a whole year by both the music industry and music fans (not just her diehard fans), which helped her a lot with this tactic.

IMO Sony are being wise by sticking to traditional roll out/promotion.

Hmm.. the MJBeats review surprises me. The mentions of several songs featuring moments with MJ singing more or less acapella (great to hear MJ's voice of course, but it is risky because stopping the music dead in its tracks could ruin the flow of a song too) and the somewhat gimmicky samples (slave chains on STTR, a ticking clock on DYKWCA - perhaps spelling it out a bit too much), reminds me of the production on Immortal. I wonder how that will pan out on a non-remix album.

From what we could gather thus far it seems like several tracks will sound quite different, at least production wise. To what extent they actually altered hooks and melodies remains to be seen. I wonder to which degree the original versions that will be released differ from the leaks that we have heard (e.g., we know the leaked version of DYKWYCA was worked on posthumously, so we should get a different version now).

That's what I'm concerned about too. I really hope they left the guitar part in cause its DOPE !

the mixes on the deluxe version definitely will be anything but elementary, they will be fully mixed. it makes no sense to leave them unfinished; furthermore, they would have labeled them demos if they planned on leaving them barebones. the comparison will not hurt the album at all imo.

Why can't we just enjoy this time and support Michael? To me this is really it. What we waited a long time for. All this overthinking and overanalyzing is too much. I never did that when Michael was here and I am not going to now. Michael isn't here but we should support him like he was still here. Michael was robbed of this and I hope it is successful for him and only him. I hope we all like it, public likes it and it turns into something special.

I never stated my opinion as I was absolutely right or it's the one that matters, don't be ridiculous. :angry: What I posted earlier it's shown how people in general (not all) dismiss what Michael did after the 80s claiming he didn't do anything good after that decade. Those people prefer songs without message with light content and in many cases shallow. LNFSG based on the lyrics is pretty safe and radio friendly and if it has 70s feeling, it would be like Get Lucky or Happy, nice to listen but already seen and safe.
