There is another great review above (being ignored) from Brazil fans who just attended a listening session. They also praise LNFSG and say all tracks are magical and potential hits. So still don't understand why some continue to belittle the song as being not worthy. Especially when they haven't even heard it..

Back to the topic, it gives me the impression people in general (not all fortunately) prefer shallow or lighter songs than listening about what occurs in the world we live in. If the Estate decides releasing radio friendly track to represent the album, it'd mean they want to appeal the masses in a shallow way.

How are so many of you so arrogant in assuming your opinion is the only valid one and that anything else is unacceptable?

if I sat and farted into a microphone and then sang about starving children over it would that instantly make it better than a song about something "light" or "shallow" as you say?

There isn't only 1 factor in what makes a song good, and everyone has different opinions on what it is that they find artistically and sonically satisfying.

This part I like. Love the idea with music becomes silence with only MJ's vocals blasting. Love it so much, I've even done my own edits on MJ songs where I replace some parts with just a cappella for a few seconds or so

Agreed. Although some stated it is never done or not in Sony's control, it has been done and it is under Sony's control.

Better for Sony to be lazy here and deploy costly lawyers to cease leaks after they are downloaded than to allow Michael the honor and added promotion of a worldwide release.

Downloading will begin with the Iheart Radio airing of LNFSG with the full cd following a few days later.

I doubt the deluxe will include Tricky Stewart's STTR or Jerkins' Xscape, etc. Too much of a risk that listeners may prefer those versions to the contemporized versions. I believe it will be more elementary demos, as close to acappellas as possible.

Disagree. Fans wanted a Bad Tour concert performance in full. Estate/Sony decided on the Wembly performance, not fans. I would have preferred the last performance in Los Angeles, U.S.

About Lnfsg: La Reid said they had the track with voice, piano and fingersnaps and had to build the track around it, no multitracks.

That is my point from day 1. They had multitracks for 7 songs and only 1 demo tape with LNFSG. L.A. Reid confirmed that and talked about it several times. They had to build the song around the leaked demo with vocals, piano & finger snaps.

His "rule" wasn't applied to this song. But that's not so important. Everybody is happy it's being released. But why is it the 1st single?

To be honest, we're actually a bunch of a** h****, (sorry for my language)
the Estate & Sony are trying to do their best, and we don't appreciate that, we complain all the times, we're never satisfied, we still want something....we should be happy, that they release the album.......:holiday:

I like all of his eras almost equally. I love that he was so versatile that all of his albums are different musically, thematically, in mood. But exactly because he is so versatile some people like a certain era but not so much another era of his. Thriller and OTW are the most popular because light, fun songs are generally more accessible to the general public than political and more heavy songs. It doesn't mean Thriller is his best but in a way it's natural that it's his most popular album.

And that I agree with. My statement wasn't made to condone the bashing of everything Thriller era or those who prefer that era to his later years, as I didn't see any of that when I wrote that post. That post was in response to the "subjective" comment made towards Michael improving as an artist after Thriller.

Of course not the Tricky Stewart's STTR. I did not say that. It is the same as releasing Justin Bieber version. Neither of them are the original versions.

I think we'll get the last versions MJ worked on. And there is no Xscape version without Jerkins because they wrote the song together. But there are probably few mixes done for Invincible and 2002 mix MJ did after Invincible without Jerkins. I think we'll get 2002 mix (leaked one).

Why would you want the album to miss days of sales from the first week and therefore debut lower on the charts in those countries, just to have a meaningless worldwide release? If the album doesn't have full sale-week people will be here moaning about it. Leaks always happen, there's no point worrying about it.

Aren't all the charts from Monday to Sunday? I would release the album Monday 00:01. I don't understand why is it Tuesday in US when Billboard counts from Monday to Sunday. Or not?

| HEARING THE ALBUM # ? ? XSCAPE IN BRAZIL - PART 2 |
Preliminary analysis of music (later back with more details):
1. LOVE NEVER FELT SO GOOD
The song starts with a very instrumental crafted strings (as is done in "Gone Too Soon", for example) and then follow a jazz / soulful vibe along with piano. Sounds like a reinterpretation of the best of the album "Off The Wall".
2. CHICAGO
"Chicago" has a very strong beat and organic, blending bass, bass drums and synthesizers. In addition, several ad-libs are simply great!
3. LOVING YOU
"Loving you ... that's all I" / The song is a kind of musical instruments convention, including piano, all played simultaneously and reminiscent Broadway musicals. Another brand is up there in the chorus catchy!
4. A PLACE WITH NO NAME
APWNN The new version is introduced by a hit very similar to "The Way You Make Me Feel". Moreover, one can notice the most prominent in the Michael voice, especially in the chorus, as distinct from that leaked version years ago.
5. SLAVE TO THE RHYTHM
"Slave" begins with sounds of chains dragging as slaves being loaded.The new version includes ad-libs Timbaland and has several sections that are so prominent that MJ's voice, sounding almost a cappella.
6. DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR CHILDREN ARE
has an electronic rhythm that recalls the sound of video games. The pace of the chorus is growing and instrumental sound is completed by a clock in the background, which oscillates at various times and descompassa.
DYKWYCA have a surprise! Near the end, the song seems to end up [at that moment everyone in the room were excited and prepared to applaud], when suddenly the last verse is repeated.
7. GANGSTA BLUE
is the most mysterious song on the album! The first few seconds creates an incredible tension, with rain sounds, steps and a heavy atmosphere ... until Michael comes by surprise by singing a cappella.
8. XSCAPE
"Xscape" starts with MJ saying "Darkchild" (producer Rodney Jerkins nickname). The new instrument is quite heavy and reminds of early demo version / original (including parts of beatbox). Moreover, before the chorus is an excerpt from a cappella.
Another important point is that, at various times, the song seems to reference the version of "Working Day And Night" sung live on the Dangerous Tour (to the extent that MJ is spinning on stage).

I do not believe the leaked versions as we know them (Tricky Stewart's, Jerkins' prison interludes on Xscape, etc. that I listed as examples) will make the cd but, we will see. I believe there is too much risk to compare those leaks with the contemporized versions to place them on the cd.

Oh? It is meaningless because Sony is too lazy to do so? A worldwide release is an added promotional tool and speaks to the legacy of the artist. If it was not meaningful, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga who chase Michael's success would not have done so.

By staggering the releases, it increases illegal downloads which tends to effect chart positions. A worldwide release hinders illegal downloads. That is why Beyonce released her cd worldwide through Itunes and charted quite well.

as to the discussion of wembley visual quality, this is pointless.. if you want pristine quality for the time it was recorded.. by a crt tv. simple as. now to the argument of fans comparing Michael's albums with his other's, i don't understand this at all.. sure we have our own opinions but in my opinion Thriller can't be at all insulted.. even if BAD is my fave. Now back on topic, if i find a live stream for the iHeartRadio awards, then i will watch it.. but if i can't.. i'll probably watch the 1080p recorded version on youtube. It is my feeling that amazon france are completely incorrect regarding there listing of the bonus track, i have sincere hope in my heart that it will be a recording that we all will enjoy. Soon i'll be visiting my local shopping center, i believe one of the promo photo's i saw for Xscape/Xperia in a phone was where i live. May 12th is going to be a terrific day.

You don't understand that Tricky Stewart's version is not even a candidate for a release. They dismissed his work completely and gave the original multitracks to another producer (Timbaland). So yes, of course that his version will not be released because Michael had nothing to do with that. It would be exactly the same as including Justin Bieber's version and call that the original.

As for Xscape I doubt they will release an early version.
