Artist Single This week Last week Total sales

JACKSON*MICHAEL THRILLER 7,676 5,963 3,636,186

The above figures are based on US Soundscan and covers digital downloads from 2003 to date. Dating back to the 80s, the Thriller physical single has been certified Platinum, signifying sales of 1 million copies, while the Mastertone version has been certified Gold for sales 500k. Total sales for the three versions would be around 5.1 million, based on certifications alone, in the US.

On a side-note, the Thriller video has reached 200 million VEVO views.

Chart position Artist Album This Week Last week Total sales Certification

172 JACKSON*MICHAEL XSCAPE 2,405 1 2,380 437,702 Gold

So despite selling more copies than last week, Xscape falls sligthly on the chart.

I don't understand why Amprofon takes so long to update their chart and doesn't put current ones instead.

Xscape was doing pretty good on September 22 to 28, #14 at the Mexican Top 100 albums.

Xscape de Michael Jackson puesto #14 del #Top100MX del 22 al 28 de septiembre.

I know my country is not a big number for sales but to let you know LNFSG was certified Gold with 30,000 copies by Amprofon, even Beat It was.

Certifications are important, since it measures popularity of artists and their commercial releases in particular countries. So posts like this are always welcome, no matter how small the sales are.

US album sales: #123 Thriller 2,922 (6,437,713 since 1991) & #182 Number Ones 2,185 (5,103,768) by @michaeljackson.

6+ million since 1991? That number seems unreliable taking into account the Thriller 25 reissue, if I'm not mistaken media traffic registered 15 or 10 million copies (between those numbers.) I'll try to find it and check again.
