I saw on cnn breaking news that they are waiting for him to surrender from now until the next 48 hours!

strange i guess we will know sooner or later id expect an anouncement re a warrant very soon if this is real. its all backwards

Re: Conrad Murray Plans to Surrender (NEWS)

CNN just ran the story....
CNN has lost all credibility to me, it's same as TMZ. As matter of fact TMZ is their source when it comes to entertainment and Michael Jackson.

Really? What does this mean?
well nothing if theres no warrant. but basically the report mean murrays been told hes got 48hrs to hand himself in. can u do that without getting an actual warrant? basically say if u dont hand yourself in a warrant will be issued then?.id presume an actual warrant has to be filed?

You are correct! Sad thing is since 6/25 TMZ has been more reliable than CNN in relations to MJ.

But as far as to the media ..... over the course of the last two years I really don't watch it, read it, or listen to it as I use to.

Sad that there isn't any source that we can reply on or trust.

hype and b******* as i thought

Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- Dr. Conrad Murray expects to surrender to Los Angeles authorities this week on charges relating to the death of Michael Jackson, his lawyer told CNN on Tuesday.
"Dr. Murray is more than ready to surrender and answer to any charges," Ed Chernoff.
Prosecutors have not announced any charges, however, and Murray has not been told how or where he should surrender, Chernoff said.
Murray traveled to Los Angeles from his home in Houston, Texas, last week in anticipation of possible charges, which he expects to be announced within 24 to 48 hours, Chernoff said.

Just seen this as Breaking News on BBC News:

Michael Jackson's doctor is expected to be charged with the singer's involuntary manslaughter, US media reports say.

Jackson's death at the age of 50 on 25 June last year was ruled as homicide, mainly caused by an anaesthetic.

The Associated Press news agency reported that prosecutors will file a criminal complaint against the doctor.

His lawyer told Reuters there was no court appearance set and Dr Conrad Murray has not been asked to surrender.

Jackson's death was primarily caused by the powerful anaesthetic Propofol, the Los Angeles coroner confirmed in August.

The Michael Jackson Coverage doing his trial and especially his death proved it too.

yeah its all hype if u look at the story theres no real new news in it. just reporting whats been said this past week. it is obiously leading somewhere but at this very minute nothing has happened

All this just make me feel :puke:

same here just put the bbc news on and its running on the ticker as breaking news although false info just saying he will surrender to police. but it just make u feel sick no matter how long u have to prepar the thought of going through this and it being all over the media just pushes u back to june again just like yesterday pushed u back to july 7

Tomorrow is going to be a key day. I'm in a serious range of emotions at the moment. Sad, and angry. Tell me, are we going to get images beamed across the world of him in handcuffs despite the fact he handed himself in? Are we going to get a press conference from the D.A saying 'we got him'. In that same press conference are we going to get the same D.A. laughing and joking? You bet your ass we wont.

Michael Jackson doctor not due to surrender: lawyer

LOS ANGELES
Tue Feb 2, 2010 4:33pm ESTRelated NewsOfficial says no charge yet against Jackson doctor

Wed, Oct 28 2009LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Michael Jackson's doctor is in Los Angeles for meetings with his lawyers but has not been asked to surrender to authorities or appear in court in connection with the pop singer's death, his lawyer said on Tuesday.

Speculation about possible charges against Dr. Conrad Murray has been brewing for months after the county coroner's office ruled that Jackson's death in Los Angeles on June 25 was a homicide by drug overdose.

Murray, a cardiologist with offices in Houston and Las Vegas, was hired to care for Jackson while the entertainer prepared for a series of comeback concerts in London.

Ed Chernoff, Murray's lead attorney, confirmed that the physician was in Los Angeles but said that, contrary to reports in the media, no court appearance had been ordered or scheduled for this week.

"Yes, he's in Los Angeles, he's here to meet with his lawyers and to visit with his family," Chernoff told Reuters. "But, look, if the cops want him he's not hiding. We'll be happy to surrender him and they know that."

Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, said that she was aware of the stories in the media but declined to confirm them.

"We've got nothing pending right now," Gibbons said.

The coroner determined that propofol and the sedative Lorazepam were the main drugs that caused Jackson's death at age 50.

Chernoff said that he asked Murray to travel to Los Angeles for a meeting with members of the defense team, but had not been asked by prosecutors or police to surrender his client and could not say if charges were imminent.

"I don't think they should be filing charges at all," he said.

Yeah just saw the story on the BBC Breaking News ticker... does BBC often run with false stories? They are a trusted source but if they get it from an untrusted one then I guess we don't know. Hopefully we have a development in the upcoming days

I am not hopeful. I don't even see his family filing a wrongful death suit against Murray. I bet you if Prince was old enough, he'd not let things slide this way. :(

Murray should thank the devil he worships (yes Devil, b/c God doesn't create murderers, no offense intended), that I'm nowhere around him, because I'm a ticking time bomb!

I have the same impression as well, there is nothing to get from him.. As Katherine's lawyer said.
