The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Maybe y'all should give it a listen since 2014.

It was never bad, just different. I got used to it because that's how music works sometimes when your palettes change.

The intro is quite sick, actually one of the best moments of the whole album. The bounce is odd but it fits the tension of the lyrical situation. It doesn't sound dated at all to me, not like the 80s, 90s, or 2014 at all.

I ain't gonna begrudge anyone for just not liking it, it don't ever gotta be your favorite, but it's music. At least just engage in good faith with Your Ears.
I normally agree with you on most things my friend but you're fighting a losing battle here 😅 it sounds like a video game and it's a serious hard hitting subject matter. Don't get me started on the mess he made of the adlibs

I listened to it yesterday and it still sucks. However, do you. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Our opinion shouldn't affect yours and vice-versa. Feel free to enjoy it, man.
Well I appreciate that much at least. It's still last on my list of Xscape ranking but I'm not gonna turn it off entirely. I save that for Privacy lol

We're that starved for content that I can do this debate and it's at least entertaining lol.

I guess I just don't rank the song overall that high. Every version kinda has its own flaw and it's own perks. MJ shelved it for a good reason.

The most interesting thing about it is that Damien Shields said this version sounds like a track MJ & Co had created in the late 2000s, right down to the "video game" stuff. So im really curious about what that sounds like.

It'd actually be very interesting if any of those Xscape tracks actually resemble other MJ music Post Invincible.

imma agree here. I like Xscape. It's not perfect and I certainly would've liked different sounds on some songs but I actually enjoy it. It's a fresh sound that gives new perspectives on what MJ can sound like.

The only song from Xscape I like is APWNN. The remix is actually very good imo and I feel like it’s something Michael would like

Sounds to me like the vocals have been filtered. I believe the story is he didn't have access to the stems, but surely the vox were of better quality than what is presented here. If this is indeed real...

Apparently Kai leaked it on discord soooo

Xscape was a poor release due to how it was mixed…most songs are simply awful.
I rate the Michael 2010 album much higher mainly due to Hollywood Tonight and Behind The Mask.
Thankfully the deluxe version included original demos but still I prefer early leaked versions of most of the tracks.
Why Sony havent released the 2010 mix of DYKWYCA is beyond me…that version is amazing with a great guitar, something I think Michael would definately approve of.
The intro on Loving You demo sounds weird, very weird imo

You mean that warble on the original version ? Apparently that was intentionally done with the Synclavier.
Yes, you are right. They were just experimenting with sounds when recording the original demo.

I'm not suggesting Loving You would've been a hit if it made the BAD album, but out of all the demos the Estate has given us, this is my favorite. It does sound like something Stevie Wonder would do.
