VH1 famous crime scenes isn't a documentary, it's just an episode where they "investigated" Michael's death, it was ridiculous.

I think i saw that one as the one i saw was just ubsurd

If it was absurd then it was VH1's FCS lol, they've done episodes on Anna Nicole Smith, Tupac tex-mex singer Selena and such, it's just beyond ridiculous.

Yes, I got that one, but has it been confirmed anywhere else? Maybe from the Estate if the doc is their production? Because only mentioning it once could still be whishfull thinking.

The guy behind the camera may not know what the publisher intends to do with it. Because it still sound amazing to me to get a documentary into cinema - has this ever been done before?

Looking forward to this documentary I'll quite happily see it in the cinema especailly as he is covering the Bad Tour as well as the album I think its as close as we'll get to seeing the Bad Tour in cinemas for now.

The estate don't you think? As i understood it, spike lee was hired as the director by the estate who commissioned the doc and are financing it so they'll be the ones in charge of the business plan and how it's to be distributed etc. I imagine as soon as they finalise their negotiations on how it's to be broadcast they'll let the fans know in a press release.

MkGenie asked their Sony source and they said the documentary is intended for TV. I think they posted it here somewhere too. There have been talks with TV networks around the world including UK and US but nothing (at that time) was agreed.

As this is being flogged to TV networks already (don't forget they already distributed a 20 minute clip to them) I highly doubt this is going to be a widespread cinema release. As somebody else said yesterday (I think), if it's going to be in cinema at all it's likely to be a limited run in a few cinemas to qualify for awards season and not much more than that.

^Well, the bears I saw were hiding behind the trees will rolls of tissue, so I guess they do.

Good to see we are still excited about the doc. I wonder if there will be something extra for the first night in the cinema, like a free booklet?

Well if I'm wrong and this is coming to theatres then I'm happy to be wrong .

I've asked mkgenie to check again with his/her source to see if plans have changed since last I heard. I guess the best way to capitalise on the investment may be to release it in cinemas to gain box office revenue before releasing on DVD and BluRay.

Anyway, I'll be happy to pay at the cinema to see a pro MJ documentary. Fingers crossed it's released in the UK.
