I wouldn't worry. Even if the doc is not shown on TV in your country and is not released n DVD, it will appear online for you to download. Everything is available online these days.

I hope we can get on DVD or watch it online. I'm 99.9% sure it won't be broadcast in Mexico, in here it's usually broadcast fallacious tabloidish documentaries which are sick to watch...

The last decent worthwhile thing broadcast was This Is It!

Yeah, Warner broadcasted it right? recently David Gest's documentary premiered on TV and it was on Movie City but then again it's a year old. I like to watch things like this on TV but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I watched Life Of An Icon on YT when it was released on DVD and it honestly was a waste of time, the same repeated :bs:! I'd had loved to watch on TV Commemorated but a truthful docu would rarely be broadcasted...

That's why I hope we can get Spike's one on DVD...

I rather keep my thoughts on TLOAI to myself since the thread isn't related, but I agree, usually documentaries like this would come out on DVD shortly after their release..

omggggggggggggggggggg. sooooo excited after reading the new tweets!!! i think i'm gonna scream when i see the new mj footage.
also I cant remember why it was that we ruled out a cinematic release of this? I swear something in the press release indicated it wouldnt go to the movies but I cant pick out what it was...?

Quincy Jones wasn't interviewed, but Spike Lee found great archival interviews that are actually much better. Memories are sharper. Of course he was invited. Just didn't work out this time.

Spike Lee and son at today's yankee baseball game. He just got a Mark Teixeira souvenir bat that flew into the stands. Ofcourse having tons of fun playing to the cameras.

I've always enjoyed Spike's work as a film-maker/director and I have the greatest confidence that this will be amazing. In fact, it's not confidence I just know it will be deep down. Just by looking at that snippet that was released it is clear that this is something that will not only be different but it will also tell a story. Most of these docs tell the same mess over and over again, and this has the potential to be completely different and from what little we've seen...you can tell it not going to be your standard MJ doc.

I think more than anything I just want people to see Michael the person. To see him as a human being just like the rest of us. People never gave that to him when he was here.

I wonder why Jones was not able to make it this time? This seems very odd to me, especially since he was the producer for Bad. Maybe Jones read what fans had to say about his remarks over the last few years. I mean he commented on the trial to reporters, but for a doc on a album he worked on, he can't make it?

Anyway glad to see all the new updates about the doc, and if it goes to dvd, we will have more Michael related products to give as gifts. Snow white you are right about it being more accurate since Spike is handling it. Isn't it great to hear and see something about Michael that only focuses on the person, his talent and ability, and what aspects of him inspired others???!!!

I think spike was saying it could be a possibilty that it will be both in cinema & tv
