I applaud the efforts being made in regards to this story. I still believe there should be some measurable consequences if a similar event happens in the future. Emails can be deleted and/or ignored and I'm not sure how many MJ fans subscribe to these questionable magazines in the first place. However, threatening their bottom line, the very life line for their existence will get people to listen and take notice. Please don't take my comments to be negative, they are not meant to be. We are on the same side. I'm just trying to impart some advice based on personal experience. I'm one of those people who have been trying to get Diane Dimond off the airwaves since the 1990's Hard Copy days and you can all see how unsuccessful that was.

I couldn't agree more.We Fans Must Fight for Michael and Others like him .Greed and Jealous is all on the agenda with these cruel evil folks.Hopefully they will all get caught and embarrassed like That Guy Mark Barlett who was calling himself giving The Florida DA in The Casey Anthony Case The bird and Didn't he get punished for his 25 minutes of fame ? LOL. That was a riot. 6 days in jail and a $625 fine. I think Judge Belvin Perry should be the Judge for The case The State of California vs Dr. Conrad Murray Because this Judge doesn't play when it comes to Murder Cases and other nonsense that goes on in his court.

This is my letter :

Recently, OK! magazine has printed a story regarding Aaron Cartner in which he allegedly claims that Michael Jackson gave him alcohol and cocaine at the age of fifteen. However, there has also been reports that he denies making such statements and the lies comes from OK! magazine. Further investigation provides an interesting perspective on the story.

Mr. Cartner has defended Mr. Jackson on several occasions - the most recent being in 2010 - and this further indicates that the allegations are untruthful. Most impressively, Mr.Cartner was on the witness list in the defence of Mr. Jackson in the trial in 2005. Although I know you are aware, allow me to remind you that Mr. Jackson was found not guilty of all ten charges (one which included giving alcohol to a minor).

Frank Cascio, who was Mr.Jackson's friend for twenty five years, also came into his defence via Twitter :

"I knew Michael for 25 years and NEVER once did he use cocaine or suggest to anyone else to use cocaine. Never!!!!"

The previous points are not the only arguments in the defence of Mr.Jackson. In an interview in 2005, Mr.Cartner is notably relaxed and open. However, in the 2011 interview, one can notice that he is uneasy. In 2005, it can be concluded that Mr. Cartner's career and finances were better than of now which presents a notion that it is highly likely that these claims are in a desperate attempt to receive attention and money. In 2005, his health was also better than it is today as he was just recently dismissed from rehab. This further makes the claims unreliable.

Sadly, today's press has a notorious pattern of publishing/reporting stories that are exaggerated or false. These dangerous brainwashing incidents do not only happen in regards to Mr. Jackson but to almost every other celebrity. However, I, along with the fan community, would say that Mr. Jackson has it the worst. Not only does this result to anathema from the public and even boycotts against certain news channels or magazines but it is a dangerous poison that is trickled upon society. This particular story plays a role in attacking a human being that can no longer defend himself and on a more general viewpoint, these attitudes are moral crimes against society.

Yes, the other grammatical errors were made. We have also been checking the grammar on this in the other thread. We have some real English scholars over there!

I did not include people on the list that wrote retractions. There were about 100 more of those including TVGide, PerezHilton, ContactMusic. I can go through and list those as well, but I cannot do it until after I get home from the meeting.

I wasn't aware emails were already sent out to members by the MJJC advocacy group, with the first draft. There were mistakes in that one.

Even those that printed the retract should be on the list. They are many more useful information in your letter than that pitiful fake retraction.

Please, update the list and we will split it among ourselves who's responsible to email which outlet.

Also we can send it to Joe Vogel..he's been very outspoken on this as well. Can someone like The Thompson guy help get that letter on the Huffington Post? We need maximum exposure...

Where is the other thread ? I received an email last night from MJJC Legacy with the first draft of the letter to MJC members? Why was it send out? Are the members to contact those same media outlets that are listed here?

Hey guys,

Did some research and some bad news on the legal front. In America, someone cannot be sued for defamation for making a statement about somebody who is dead. That means, from here on out, anyone can say anything they want about MJ and there will be absolutely no legal remedy for the estate or his children.

I think the law is ridiculous, particularly where someone is famous and has an enduring financial stake, but that's the way it is here. The only way to get anything done from here on out is through grass roots, such as the petition.

Unfortunately, stuff like this may only get worse now that people have free reign...at least in America.

I'm still quite surprised that there is no defamation claim allowed here. I actually took a class on it in law school and I guess it just never came up. I actually just came across it in my studies for the bar and, in fact, the very example he gave is that he could say Michael Jackson is a child molester and nobody could sue him. He indicated he doesn't believe that to be the case, but he was just using it to make his point.

The law makes sense in some regards, but I think there should also be room left for certain plaintiffs, like Michael Jackson. Tangible harm can still be done to his estate at this point, and I don't think people should have free reign to make money at his expense at their whim.

I think beheading is in order for this monster of an octopus. The head being Daphne Barack. She's poisonous and must be addressed. SHE should be bombarded with emails until she cries uncle. Totally prevent her of conducting business because her maibox is full of messages for days and weeks.
