they are asking 125 for the fox theatre in mi they should be able to sell that out i was just there for janet last tour its midsize not arena huge but not dinky and its real old school

We can only speculate becuase Randy stays out of the media for the most part so not much is known about what he is doing. Personaly I believe Randy's health is a big factor in him not performing with the bros and possibly some personal riffs with the bros that they cant resolve. The fact he is not mentioned at at all seem to imply this to me. But Im just speculating and Im not tryign to be mean. I come from a very Large family myself (11 syblins) and I know first hand how hard it is for all to find agreement on everything. Its not gonna happen, not in my family anyway. Randy suffered a mild heart attck in June of 2010 and this was suppose to be his 2nd one. So "maybe" he is advised not too go on tour... but reality is We just dont know the reasons why.


I think it's nice they are selling out. This is a big step for them. I know they must be nervous and want to do a good performance for their fans. Hey many groups go on to perform after loosing the lead singer and do alright for themselves because they have musical talent. They sing the same standard songs they created and sang before. But they have to improvise and find another lead or take turns. There is nothing wrong with doing that and no of course it wont be like Michael. It is not suppose to be. It cant be... and it will not be fair to compare them to Michael. We all know that no one compares.

But it will be The Jacksons. If they want to sing a few Michael songs to honor him thats fine too. It not ripping him off, Michael did the Jackson 5 medley in his concert to honor his brothers (we can hear his words and the screen behind him that it is tribute to them ) I see no reason why they can't do the same in tribute to MJ. I'm not gonna particularly like it because I don't believe they Can do it justice .. but it is what it is .. maybe they will surprise us.

In my heart I believe Micheal would want his brothers to be successful in whatever they choose to do. He may have not gotten along with with his family all the time. (who does ) but I'm sure he loved them as brothers do. I have a brother I cant stand being around he is a real jerk.. but bottom line I love him still. I want the best for him in everything .. just away from me

I'm not sure why some of you are surprised that the Jacksons have sold out major cities. The Temptations are doing it with one of the five original members, the Miracles are doing it with one of the five original members and the Commodores are doing it with two of the six original members.

So why wouldn't the Jacksons be able to do it with four of the five original members?

I wish they had done this before when Michael was still here so he could see it and be happy for them. I think he would have supported them and encouraged them. I think he always wanted them to move on.

I don't have a problem with them doing something in honor of Michael. If they didn't mention him people would be upset. They are brothers. It is true that Michael acknowledged them in his concerts and they can do the same for him. Other people have done it and it's nice to see.

and if that is the case, only four cities are showing the grey boxes.....Los Angeles, CA... Albuquerque, NM... Las Vegas, NV and Lincoln City, OR

they may be selling out the Venus..however...if these concerts are ANYTHING like the tribute concerts that they did for Michael...they are gonna have ALOT of unhappy fans. For their sake..I hope I am wrong. And this post wasn't ment to disrespect them...it was ment to bring attention as to how they have been running things lately....thats all.

I guess we will have to wait on some more credible information about the sold out major cities story. I want them to at least sell most of their tickets. That will give them an identity separate from Michael, which is what they need. Plus they can leave their children some dough.

Maybe the tour could have a hologram of randy so he doesn't feel left out? :D

They'r coming to Phx in July. The promo on the radio says reunion then plays snippets of Ill be there, never can say goodbye, and ABC. But it's just not the same, and I couldn't see them for that reason but at the same time it'd be nice considering they are Jacksons and where they came from. IDK.

^^Did the snippets have Michael's voice singing the songs, or was it only the brothers' voices?

Dont worry :better: as terrible as that is. Jermaine can never in his liftime destroy MJ's legacy only his own. I doubt his performace here will go down in history or even be remembered except with laughter or tears of embarrasment. He wouldnt have been that bad had he left off the MJ coreography. He is clearly not a dancer and the immitation appeared comical.

Jermaine please Stop Trying to be Michael.

The Jacksons can only build or destroy thier own legacy now .. They will be under great scruteny from the media and criitics with this tour. IMO If they try to imitate MJ as above the media will be quick to point our how far it fails compared to MJ.
Its best they put their own spin and not try to copy Michael .. the comparison will make them appear small.

Do your own thang Jackson's

The song, choreography, back-up dancers dressed like MJ, the way he pulled the jacket off one shoulder = just like Michael did.

Surely he doesn't want to be known as MJ imitator?

MJ was the greatest of all time. There is no way the brothers can compare at all.. MJ had the 'IT' factor, the brothers don't have 'IT'

I seriously can't understand why he continues to embarrass himself when he actually got quite a decent back catalogue of his own. I'd gladly pay to watch Jermaine Jackson perform Let's Get Serious, Dynamite or When The Rain Begins To Fall. This however, is just cringeworthy.

The brothers do well when they focus on what their strengths are, not Michael Jackson's strengths. That is why that segment with Jerm looks painful--he is trying to be Michael rather than Jermaine.
