All youtube ones seem to have been taken off!

I know that almost 99% of the people on this board are hurting really bad. I just wanted to tell you that I LOVE you all!!!! I'm giving each and everyone one of you the biggest virtual hug that is out there. :better:

Madonna meant everything she said last night and the reason TMZ and other media will find fault in it is because it is they who abandoned him. What do people do when they know what is said relates to them but they don't want to admit it? They dismiss it or find something else to focus on. That audience was quiet during the most poignant parts of her speech. Talking about the witchunt, abandonment, him being a human being because many people forgot that fact during his troubles. And I bet every single person in that room thought back to when they may have turned on him. They forgot he was human and I'm thankful Madonna kept reiterating that point. She said what his fans and supporters have been saying for years. Too bad it had to come when he's gone.

Janet did great. I'm sure it was hard for her to do that performance for the first time and do it without Michael. The whole dance tribute was good. I think people are mistaking the whole show as a tribute (ala BET). But it wasn't supposed to be. They did the tribute at the beginning like they advertised. So to compare this with BET is apples and oranges.

The trailer made me sad. He so was looking forward to doing it. He looked so happy. IT looked like it was going to be a great show.

Every day, it's kills me that MJ is gone - but then I think of Mother Katherine & the MJ 3, and what they must be feeling at the loss of a father & son. It'll never compare, but it doesn't mean that it hurts less.

The media are trashing Madonna- saying it was all about her.

The View hosts made fun of Madonna and said it was "all about me" and so did Kathy Lee on the Today Show.

I am so disgusted right now! UGH! Makes me wanna scream!!!!!!!!!!
 
Did anyone notice at the end of smooth criminal when all the dancers were doing the lean, one of the dancers at the front couldn't get his shoes to work
 
Agreed! Madonna's speech was just as sweet & poignant (if not more so) than Brooke Shields' at the Memorial.

I don't like Madonna, don't get me wrong I respect her and all she's done, but her music doesn't appeal to me at all, but damn, she's a good woman with a kind heart. She looked beautiful.

Janet, I'm a big fan of hers, I loved her performance. Janet truly loved her brother so much, which makes the tribute even more special. I just can't imagine what it must be like for her :cry:

The trailor, :bugeyed: Holy crap, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! This is it , was gonna be the biggest most greatest show on earth, and I was gonna be able to see it

Just a small question, you know the tickets for this is it, well is it gonna be in every cinema or do they give you a list . You see I live in Wales, in a village/town, kinda thing, and we have cineworld and other crappy cinema's, where all the chairs look like they've been chewed by a pack of wolves, lol. I was just wondering, cause I really really wanna see it.

Obviously they didn’t listen to her, I am sure all the time they were looking at her hair, her looks, clothes, etc… They don’t really care about what she said and they must be jealous about the way she talked about Michael, and she indirectly attached the media so she will get fire-back!
I love her for what she said and I feel like respecting her much more and being a bigger fan of hers.
 
Ugh now bashing on Madonnas beautiful speech. Don't these disgusting people ever get it?! He touched millions of people. Some physically, some emotionally, ALL through music. She was sharing her own personal accounts. Which is what everyone does. *how michael touched my life*
She made a beautiful speech and shared beautiful memories.

I just watched some of the performances again, during Jay-z's performance he had a little tribute, he said "long live the king" and in the background the Apollo sign was in the background saying "in memory of Michael Jackson a true American legend"

I noticed that too - Jay-Z has his moments when he can be a jerk, but I think Beyonce has made him more of a gentleman.

Most of the people I know who say "the Bible condemns homosexuality" would never condone these acts. Most Christians have no idea that the people killing gay and lesbian persons go around quoting those few verses of Scripture as justification.

Although the prophets, Jesus, and other biblical authors say nothing about homosexual orientation as we understand it today, they are clear about one thing: As we search for truth, we are to "love one another."
We may not be able to use the Bible as our final authority on sexual orientation. But as we search for the truth, we can and should use the Bible as our final authority on how we should treat one another along the way.


A young Jewish scholar asked Jesus, "What is the greatest commandment?" Quoting the prophets, Jesus replied, "The great commandment is this... to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and the second command is like it, to love your neighbor as you love yourself."


"This is my commandment," Jesus said, "that you love one another, as I have loved you." On this the Bible is explicitly clear. Even if we disagree about what the Bible seems to say about homosexuality, we can agree that above all else we are commanded by the Scriptures to love God and to love one another.

John 3:16-18 "16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."

Say what you want, but it says ALL who believe will not perish but have eternal life. ALL means everyone who believes. There's just no getting around that one. These verses do not put any conditions on who can be a believer. Christ does not condemn... there it is in black and white. You may want to admonish the person who you think is "different", but Christ does not. ALL who believe are not condemned. If a homosexual believes in Christ, they are not condemned. You may say a homosexual cannot believe, but then you are putting limits on who can and who cannot believe, when God does not. Since a homosexual who believes in Christ is NOT condemned, who are you to condemn them? We are all your brothers and sisters in Christ.

It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that the cheap press is trashing Madonna's speech. After all, it's what they did to Michael for most of his life.

Most people can't handle people that are honest and try to do good. Madonna's not afraid of cliches, she's not afraid of coming across as corny or cheesy. She's just honest.

Now, people such as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been put on pedestals and made almost untouchable because even with their arguable holier-than-thou attitudes, they're still extremely hip to a very broad mainstream audience.

Madonna is only seen as hip by people who are able to strip themselves bare of all these things we're 'supposed' to be - because she never gave a damn what people thought about her, and her supporters very much mimic that attitude.

So yes, of course Madonna is getting crucified today and that only proves a lot of the points she made in last night's speech. Unfortunately, the bad, ignorant people of this world will never learn - even if they've just lost Michael Jackson, the greatest entertainer on Earth.

And if Madonna died tomorrow, I'm positive they wouldn't even think for a second how they called her 'self-indulgent' or 'fake' or a 'hag' and talked about the veins in her arms, even though they all know those things are not true (or are unimportant) and that Madonna has more goodwill in her little finger than they've expressed in their life.

Lastly, the main reason for everyone bashing Madonna today is the fact that she left the world with a bad taste in their mouths last night. BECAUSE SHE SAID WHAT NO ONE WANTED TO HEAR: WE DID THIS TO HIM. We lost one of the greatest creatures the world has ever seen because we abused him and drove him to despair, and that's just something we'll have to live with. People don't want to to hear the truth and in this case, they're just trying to kill the messenger to make the pain go away. I applaud Madonna.

No surprise here. Media got a huge dose of truth from Madonna last night and they are not gonna own up to what they did to MJ. So whats the best way for them to try to save face?

I cryed the entire way through, the speech, the tribute and the trailer.
I love the trailer, he looks happy and healthy - but it has reminded me of how raw we are still all feeling.

Can anyone tell me where the "Tribute" part of the VMAs were? I mean besides the obvious beginning with Madonnas speech and Janets performance?
The BET awards were a tribute..
THIS.. was them stringing us along for an ENTIRE show waiting for the "Tribute like no other"

I loved the tribute with Janet too. She did a good job honoring her brother and the look on her face at the end spoke so much.

I didn't bother following what exactly Kayne West did but from what I'm reading here, he didn't act maturely at all.

Oh, the trailer! It took me ages to locate it... I LOVE IT! :wub: Michael seems in his element in the trailer. It's very well put together. Only... He should still be here! :cry: I might be tempted to buy the DVD after all. We'll see, I'll probably change my mind a dozen times before the DVD comes out. Bottom line: Michael should have had his chance to shine once more - in person!

Not odd, it's just TMZ being TMZ. A bunch of suckers, like they always were. I ge the impression more people seem to apreciate or think positive about TMZ all of the sudden now. I don't. They are scum...a horrible site.
A site i will never check and won't take much serious from.
