its cause she performed on the final of the x factor show. mj doesnt have a chance when u have other artists doing such things. and when the only promo he gets is when ppl say tracks are fake. thats hardly gonna get the gen public intrested. number 4 is pretty decent more intrested in the actual sales though.can't belive Rihanna is doing better than Michael)
who knows guess it depends on what the other artists are doing.theres still nearly a full week left for ppl to do xams shopping etc so it could get more sales just from the promo of it now being in the charts.the week after xams normally has pretty low sales so that chart might be intresting.no chane of num 1 though as take that are far ahead in sales.TII would need to be shown on tv. some sort of promo like that to give it a big push. the main question is how long it will take for the album to fall as with no promo and no quick single releases there isnt really much hope. strange thng ot say but the best promo coming is the start of the prelim in januaryIs it possible that the album will go up next week (maybe even #1)?
the album or the person. cause for the person the uk is one of his strongest marketsMichael has never charted as well in the UK as he does in other places anyway.
4 ain't to bad. Michael has never charted as well in the UK as he does in other places anyway. And we all know what the brainwashing power of the crap-factor does to the mindless music buying population of Britain, so i'm not to shocked by this, just ashamed of my country. Nice to see HMH moving up though, even if it is just one spot.
Michael would have never have performed on the X Factor even if he had been alive. He turned it down multiple times but sadly its the ultimate promotion between September-December. Cowell dominates the music industry whether we like it or not now. Wish it had done better but what can you do

Take That sold 3 times more than MJ LOL and their album is out since 1 month.
ditto, it's their loss.well, whoever bought Michael's album in the UK have a great taste in music and those who didn't are missing out A LOT! That's all I'll say about it.
Did Take That sell 330,252 copies in one week? thats good. did they also debut this week or have they been on the charts for a few weeks already?

I know this is off-topic, but I heard from my friend that, while MJ was in London, there were plans to ask him to be a judge on X-Factor. While I assured him that MJ wouldn't ever do that as he would be too busy with "This Is It" and recording for a new album, along with my belief that MJ wouldn't want to be on TV that often as he didn't believe in over-exposure. Do you know if there's any truth in that?
its been out 5 weeks there sales have been huge pretty much from the outset. the country has been covered in TT promo since robbie came back
Take That have held on to the album chart top spot for a fifth consecutive week, as Progress adds another 330,000 copies to its tally.
The boyband gave their mega-selling album a publicity boost with appearances on both the Strictly Come Dancing semi-final and the X Factor final last weekend, which helped bring the record's total sales to 1.44 million.
Meanwhile, the next three albums behind Progress - Rihanna's Loud, Michael Bublé's Crazy Love and Michael Jackson's Michael - all posted six-figure sales numbers this week, shifting 194,000, 139,000 and 113,000 copies respectively.
Take That's recent performances also help launch Robbie Williams and his greatest hits collection In And Out Of Consciousness back into the top ten, the former-chart topping record advancing to seven from last week's 14.
Also experiencing a small sales bump amongst a top 20 consisting of 12 fallers are The Script with Science & Faith and Rumer with Seasons Of My Soul, both of which hop forward one place to this week's 16 and 19.

1. (1) Take That: 'Progress'
