NEW SONG - Akon feat. Michael Jackson "Hold my hand" [updates in post #1]

Yeah that's true. It's good to discuss it.

Michael and his whole family are excited about something. They're working on something and they've been telling the fans about it in bits and pieces. They seem a little too cheerful for there to be major problems happening.

Something fun is coming.

Well, when it comes to the Jacksons, it's best to deal with what we know vs. what seems to be. For sure we will know in due time.

But I was thinking in terms of the new vocals he recorded on T25.

How long is MJ under contract with 2Seas anyway?
Yeah, I know that's what you meant. He recorded new vocals on a reissue controlled by Sony.

Who knows the details of that contract with 2Seas....

Hahahahaha.

Is the Prince making a whole bunch of noise right now, or are some reporters rehashing stuff to rain on our parade? They always hate it when the fans are happy about something. When we are happy, it means they are failing at destroying Michael.

We should laugh at them. They are just doing their usual stuff. You know they gotta try and start some sh*t because this record is coming out and it's good. That's what they always do.

This seems more like a delayed reaction. Usually, they try to start the mess before the release of a song. This time the song came out of the shadow without any forewarning, smacked them and then left.

They are SO molded!!

We were discussing this in another thread and I found a Times article dated February of this year on the Prince and when talking about MJ, he mentioned the lawsuit on-going. It's possible that it has been settled by know, but who knows...

Ohhhhh, okay. Yeah, it seems to be kinda quiet. If there was more going on, the media would have way more to throw at us. Doesn't seem like they have much to throw though.

Also, from the way this song came out and shot around the world stirring up excitement, it's safe to say MJ is gaining some ground now.

Soon, he will be a step ahead of them. His album is going to come out like it's being shot out of a cannon and they are not going to be able to stop it.

We just got a sample of that. It was a goody too!!

Hey. I just went over to the 2 Seas Records web site. The home page is still exactly the same. It doesn't seem like they've done anything with it since creating it...like they've stopped building it all together.

Doesn't it seem like a sign that 2 Seas is now defunct? And if it is defunct, how can it tell MJ he can't record or release new music?

From the looks of the web site, it seems like 2 Seas Records has left itself as well.

I wonder if they were planning to use MJ as the main artist to launch the company with and also have him run it? That's what it seems like. If that wasn't the plan, it would still be moving forward right now without him.

And if that was the plan, it was going to be a very slow moving company because they would have had MJ in the recording studio working on music the majority of the time, as well as doing public appearances. He was not going to have adequate time to run the company as well.

It doesn't seem like it will be too hard to get out of the 2 Seas thing. If they were planning to have everything rest of MJ, then they really didn't put enough thought into their business plan.

And they definitely can't say the company stalled because of funding, because the Prince is wealthy. So, it had to be bad planning and trying to put too much on one person. It made absolute sense for MJ to pull out.

it's speculating upon speculations - we really don't know anything about the 2Seas lawsuit nor the supposed contract and is left open to too many possibilities to start taking a 'lead' on this whole thing.

to be 100% honest, I think Mike went along with the 2seas thing simply to get help..

What I mean by that is, I think he may have brought the idea of the record company, knowing he would not fallow through on the project.. You know those people were helping Michael out in so many ways there, and I think he just agreed to it because he felt obligated.. Not that he really wanted to.. I mean him teaming up is Guy Holmes??

Mike knows he's way over Holmes league... I think Mike was more stuck to agree.. I mean how could Mike say NO to the same people that were helping him with houseing, shelter, probably entertainment and food... They really welcomed Mike into there home, and I think Mike never planned to do that stuff with them but did not have the heart to say "No, it would not be a good business move for me."

IDK... that's how I saw it anyway.

I mean nothing between 2 seas and Michael were finalized in the fist place.. He probably kept pushing it off etc.. Trying his hardest not to get stuck with them, business wise.

P.S. Arxter, what lawsuite are you mentioning about?? Are you talking about when the Prince sued about the book deal thing??

Buuuuut, if 2 Seas Records hasn't done anything since MJ left, and when you Google 2 Seas Records you only run across 2 Seas Records as it relates to Michael Jackson, and when you visit the web site it is still sitting dormant as it was a couple of years ago, isn't it pretty obvious that the company stalled?

Then, there's the Prince wanting to go to court...still being cordial...but still wanting to go to court. What other business venture did they announce besides the one that is not moving?

What would be nice is if things in MJ's life really take off well...well enough for him to do something to show the Prince his gratitude in the near future. What the Prince did was very nice. And it would not hurt to give him a nice thank you. Even if it means MJ showing his gratitude without having to sign a contract of any sort.

All of this is speculation. What else is new?

i think the whole company was based around Mj .he was their only artist so when that went t*** up there was nothing for the company to do

It did seem that way. According to Holmes they also constructed a new state-of-the-art studio for Michael in Bahrain from the ground up to use in producing music for the label. But the site was really nothing before Michael's involvement was announced, then they updated it several times with teasers from the "I Have This Dream" song, and then they reverted back to its original 'nothing' where it has remained untouched since 2006.

Yep. It seems like it was and the timing probably wasn't good. Guess it made MJ feel locked in right after going through something else that had caused him to have to fight for his freedom.

When he seemed happy about it, it seemed nice. But I guess once he had time to think about it for a while he felt it wasn't a good choice for him and he cut.

I don't buy that they built that for MJ either. According the UK Times article, they use that studio for other work and mixes and I doubt that just started happening in 2006...

The Prince has always been interested in being a player in the music business...

It doesn't seem like MJ is going to let the 2 Seas thing stop him from going forward with his plans. He seems to have a number of things in the works. It doesn't seem like he would call the fans in Devon and say things like "it's coming sooner than they think" after all the ripping and running we fans have been doing lately. Since late '07, he's been dropping hints about different surprises that he's working on for us, and things have been popping up left and right. Nice surprises.

Check out all the trips to the stores we fans have been making lately...

1. Out buying L'Uomo Vogue
2. Out buying Ebony
3. Out buying Jet
4. Out buying Thriller 25
5. Out buying The Wiz
6. Out buying Sobe Life Water

We have been running out to buy things pertaining to MJ quite a bit lately and having much fun doing it.

He's not off somewhere sitting on his hands. There are too many things popping up just like "Hold My Hand."
