I think they're just gonna release it like they originally planned to release it....later this month, if the stuff about Akon releasing is first single soon is true.
 
Akon is going to be on "106 & Park" sometime this week. He will be introducing one of his new artist. Maybe, one of the hosts will ask him about his new album and the first single off of that album.

Well, that's what I'm hoping anyway. LOL!

And regarding Akon, I'm not sure he'll say anything about the song on that show, since it would distract from the new artists alot but... I guess you'll just have to wait and see.

Maybe next week somethin' will happen, imo.

EDIT: Dang, I just realised how posed we are on Acorn now :hysterical:

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

I can't see them having Akon on their stage and NOT ask him about his own upcoming projects. Although, I'm not expecting anything big, I do believe that the focus of their conversation will turn from Akon's new artist to Akon himself. LOL!

well it's not up to Akon if it comes up.. The hosts will if they think it up..

Akon hardly ever is the one that brings up Michael, just like Neyo.. THEY ASK..

Akon was on 106 yesterday and he wasn't asked about it according to someone who told me they watched the show.
 
I saw Akon on yesterdays' 106 & Park show.. but I guess I missed some of it cause I tuned in halfway through the show.. and then I saw Akon so I sticked around to watch it. He was with Kardinal Offishal talking about a song IDK.. lol and then the guest host, who had taken place the girl host, asked them. "What is next from both of you?" And Akon said.. "The takeover..yea.." lol but I dont think he was asked it like hopespringseternal said above.

IDK if Akon is going to appear any more times on the show this week.. but I'll keep an eye out for it. :yes: I have no idea if that was it. :hysterical:

EDIT: Oh but, one thing, Akon was in Las Vegas over the weekend shooting a video with Nelly @ Red Rock Casino.. who knows.. he may have met up with Mike too.

am i crazy, or does radio not like MJ when it comes to new stuff? ever since what more can i give...or maybe even earlier..if MJ is on something new..radio seems to act like they are allergic to it. true..i am speculating..but it surrre seems suspect. i mean people over the years wanted to blame MJ, and say he's not doing anything new...but..we know that is not the case. he writes hundreds of songs practically on a daily basis...but, somehow a lot of NEW stuff..or..even previously unreleased material with HIM on it hardly makes the radio. oh sure..wbss in some other form, begrudgingly makes it to radio...but..i mean...comon...

by now..we know it isn't for the lack of MJ trying. akon's new stuff is all over the radio like a rash..EXCEPT for hold my hand. and now..MJ has given it up for free for download...so...now...if that doesn't tell you that he wants his stuff to reach the fans..NOTHING will. i hope i am crazy..and wrong...i'd love to be..but i just wonder. meanwhile a lot of radio stations are going off the air and changing formats..so..whatever...

it still got me thinking...what, to me, is the new definition of a HIT song? how bout something that fans LOVE and would BUY. not necessarily, any longer, is the definition of a hit, something that ends up on the radio. i mean..i've heard plenty of songs on the radio that still never leave a store shelf. so...

not saying that hold my hand won't end up on radio....but after all this ish over the years..whatever it is....it's just a thought that went through my mind. all i know..is..it's not MJ's fault.

Ya I see a bit of that in radio.. They play it because it's an MJ song.. But no matter how good it is, and/or how many times it's requested it just falls away so fast from the radio..

Like they debut it big.. Then after it's played, they shelf it.. the MJ name gets it on the radio, but the song, they are very bias towards it.
 
People are just losing hope, I don't know why though. Remember that lady's blog where she got info. that the song featured Michael and then one day later it was leaked, and then she also said a video was planned for it by the end of this month? Well, if she was right about the song, then maybe she was right about the video as well. We have to wait and see.
 
Peps can't help how anxious they are (and this comes from me being anxious lil chic too so lol). But it'll come when it'll come.

And I believe radio would love to play new MJ stuff, they wouldn't just play it down, clmon now.
 
LOL..... :lol: well, this is Akons' last week of touring i think, he is busy this week, having a concert tonight in Canada, and tomorrow, then going to Jamaica to take the Reggae Sumfest Stage.. then another Canada performance the next day lastly. :hysterical:

Maybe we will hear something after? :lol:
 
i know. but having seen a second available free download of hold my hand, and every other akon song getting on the radio fast enough that they are falling all over each other, i couldn't help but wonder..and i was considering everything before hold my hand, including no friend of mine and other new stuff..it just got me thinking. like i said..i know i am speculating...but it's just hard for me not to think this way. i mean.. have u heard akon' new song called 'dangerous'?...lol...tribute song if i ever heard one..it's on the radio..but hold my hand? not. idk...

like i said..i didn't start thinking all this till i saw that second free download.

Please do not get confused with the song "Dangerous", as that it is Kardinal Offishals' song (a new artist Akon is working with) that features Akon in it.


..and when I first heard that song.. I was like.. wow, sounds like Mike's Dangerous a bit too. :lol:

Unless the song is officially released, then maybe we can complain about them not playin it. But the song is still under raps, so they can't play it here in the U.S. (cant play it anywhere really)

The song or Album is not released yet
it was just a leak - .. forthcomming on
Akon's and maybe Mj's Album

This just charts when it is played on the radio
which it is not suppose to be .. YET

Yeah, I understand that part.

According to the chart, it was play 12 times just yesterday,
or I am not reading the chart correctly?

What I don't get is, if they can track how many times it's played,
then they can track WHO's playing it, illegally, and make them stop,
just like they had it removed from youtube, etc...no?

Anyways, I was just wondering :scratch:
