that looks as dodgy as Akon's criminal record.Speaking of HMH, I now hear it's gonna be on an Akon/T-Pain mix tape.

I don't wanna sound like a hater , really, but most of Kanye's hits are sampled. What is the genius in that? Has sampling become the ONLY way? Gimme a break.
sampling is an art. i love how people only hear Timbaland or Kanye and base their strong opinons on sampling just from that. go listen to Pete Rock, DJ Premier, J Dilla or someone of that hip-hop calibre and then try and make an objective standpoint on this particular form of sampling. go deeper and see that sampling has been used widely (and still is) beyond just one genre.
i believe Michael sampled a classical work for Will You Be There..
It's really nothing different than the half-dozen other mixtapes the track has appeared on in the past four months. The "CD quality" is still nothing better than the 192kbps version that was originally leaked, that's what they all use.
You sound not just a hater but very bitter. Sampling is the root of hip hop. There is nothing wrong with that. Mary J. Blige hits were mostly samples of R&B classic songs. The Jackson Five sampled their own song. Madonna sampled songs, Celine and Whitney sang songs that were hits, or more like cover songs. The only diference is that they made those songs their own songs.
Sampling has nothing to do with genius. Not everyone in the music business have to be a genius or have the success of MJ to be a star. I see a lot of people's points regarding the state of the music business. However, it has more to do with money than talent and creativity.
A lot of these rap stars who are being played on the radio are the sad reality of what has happened when corporations take over an art for known as hip hop/ rap.
Personally speaking, I don't care if Akon is releasing a CD. I am not going to think of buying it. We do not know what really happened to the HMH song, but to blame Akon for why the song is not on the CD is immature and silly. It is just a song. It is online. What is the big deal if it is not on some dude, who whines when he sings, cd?
Exactly. Even though I am going to ignore your comments on Kanye, LOL, you made a great point.
Yes he did.
Yeah, I read this today.. and it got me a lil' curious. After all, it was meant to be a MJ track?.. but now.. I really doubt that the song is going to see the light of day though.. but eh. :lol:http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003886759
Akon has also been busy producing, performing or writing with a glut of other artists, including Lady Gaga, Kat De Luna, Lionel Richie, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, 50 Cent, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson. The latter two recently had Akon-produced songs leak online ("Like I Never Left" and "Hold My Hand," respectively), but Akon is unsure if either track will be included in either artist's comeback albums. "With those types of artists you can't really say," he says.
Not again.. LOL...
poor Mike... he thinks that hip pop is the only music that younger listen... he should inform inself about other type of music... Michael.. wake up! The world is HUGE!
Awww man. :/"The track 'Hold My Hand' was leaked on the internet and it spoiled a lot of things we had planned for the record," Akon said. "Collectively we felt that, with a collaboration like that, and his (Michael Jackson's) first time coming back after a long time, it needed to be done properly. We decided we need to invest in the future and figure out another way to come, even if we have to come with a new record."
well yeah but anyone could do that. making the complex melodies is the hardest part - if you can do that THEN you are talented. (my opinion at least)...
