NEW SONG - Akon feat. Michael Jackson "Hold my hand" [updates in post #1]

What the hell??? It's not going to be on Akon's album? What was it for then? I hope to God it's not on Micael's "new one".
 
All the talking down about Akon is soooo tiring. You really can't mention any artist here without them being bashed. I've got some new lyrics I think I should memorize for this place:

The forum world
it's just a bashing place
for Akon and Prince and the entire singers race
There is Justin and Usher
And Chris Brown too to
tear down here
Make a hatefull place
For you and for me

Has anyone noticed one of Akon's new songs on the album, the piano in the beginning of "Sunny Day", sounds like the piano part in the background of Hold My Hand? :lol: or you guys already caught on already? IDK.. I found it really weird. o_O :lol:

you got a point there. with all the trouble in our inner cities being highlighted, i couldn't be more proud of both Akon and TPain. i've remained a steadfast fan of both of those dudes.

Looks like the Year of the Gentleman is really getting started. Nice suit and cool classy cover. Defo a welcomed change. Maybe the music will come up a notch as well? The first single wasn't my cup of tea but the second single is kinda catchy...even tho the lyrics are little inappropriate for times like these when folks are financially sufferin'. Unless you're wealthy, you can't really feeeel that song lyrically. Nice beat tho...imo. I think his first single didn't do well cuz folks were expecting HMH and when they didn't get that it was like finding coal in their Christmas stocking. :lol:

the world has been financially suffering for years. and texts like these just show how blatant people in the music are.

^ And that's why we need more musicians to lay the truth. This hip-hop fakery is destroying its good element. How you gonna brag about being rich and we out here starving and sh*t? F**k outta here. That's why I don't feel for anybody that "made it" in the rap game and think they're better than anybody and it's even sadder when some so-called "rhythm and blues singers" do the same thing. :mellow:

yeah and maybe that's why it's better that Michael stays out of Akon's album - cuz he is hypocritical - on the first song on the album - "I am so paid" he sings "I got so much money" and then on Hold My Hand he sends out the message "Hey let's get together and do big things in Africa etc." PRESUMABLY,that is.

Exactly!... the music today is nothing more then commercialized products! Real Hip Hop has been stolen by these rich corporate thugs who know nothing of Hip Hop, They rather bring the image of Bling Bling,Cars,idiotic dance steps to completely brainwash the masses with their capitalistic bs, fuk that! i'm sick and tired of seeing these "fake artists" who think they are the shyt because so many people bought their album, yet they are talentless, uncreative hacks raping this music industry!

The only fake artists I really see are people like T-Pain, Lil Wayne, and Soulja Boy. They've done NOTHING os value, crap songs, and they've gotten popular some how.

Even sadder, Kanye seems to think he needs to be like T-Pain to sound good. Kanye already is awesome, don't fall in that trap.

I don't wanna sound like a hater , really, but most of Kanye's hits are sampled. What is the genius in that? Has sampling become the ONLY way? Gimme a break. (not you lol,but the "artists" ) ;)
 
I didn't say Kanye was a genius. I said he's talented. If you can make something good out of a sample, I see no problem.
 
well yeah but anyone could do that. making the complex melodies is the hardest part - if you can do that THEN you are talented. (my opinion at least)...
 
There's more talents than making complex melodies. Dancing, singing, rapping, timing, stuff like that. Making melodies is just a part.
 
asking MJ not to appear on someone else's music is kinda reaching. it's not hypocrisy for MJ if he appears with Akon. if everybody decided to stay away from somebody who they disagree with, the world would be a helluva lonely place. just because you are in the same room with somebody does not mean that you believe what they believe. also..what is this determining what talent is? for those who believe that certain things are not considered talent..who died and left you the great talent determiner in the sky? lol. talent isn't determined by you and me. i mean..what are u gunna do, if u have a kid and he or she has an ability that doesn't jibe with your rules? are u gunna leave that kid destitute, desolate, and poor, and squash his or her spirit? i mean, if those who think they should decide what talent is, were the true talent determiners, then, a lot of quirky things would not have been invented..like the light bulb or..the elevator, or the foam finger. those made those inventors quite rich. i guess we should hate on them. why do we want to determine who has talent and who doesn't? it's a good thing that we don't. and, sounding bitter and envious because somebody says ' i got paid', sounds petty. why do we want to be mad at people who are rich? would we like the same thing to happen to us if we become financially successful? seems like karma comes into play there. Michael doesn't seem to have a problem with it(other people's 'quirky talents' and financial success). why should we? it seems to me, that if a talent gets someone off the street, it's to be commended, whether we are champions of change, or not, as long as it hurts nobody. and..if ur going to hate on the changes in hip hop..well...it makes you sound petty, and like somebody's parents. better yet..more like somebody's grandparents. it makes you sound....old. the changes in hip hop don't seem to be hurting the entity of music. that entity seems to be all encompassing, and continuing on, happily. it still seems to be coming together. now..i realize you are entitled to your opinion....
well..that's my opinion on your opinion.:)
