MJ Forever Tribute/ MJJC Statement / Estate statement / Fan letter pg51/ GLE put on administration

The child lies in the well and now begins inside the search for the culprit .
The fact that it is in such a way, this sentence points:
“Mr. Hunt said he didn’t contact the executors because he thought he had the family’s approval.”

I can imagine that Hunt knocks now, with Michaels Estate. But it is TOO LATE for it: rien en va plus. (my opinion!)
The whole plan is unbearable!
Also the smallest concession of Mr. Branca is a support of this disaster.

It would be an example for the future. It will not be the last spot that Michael's family pompously ignores Michael’s Estate and starts wholehearted something and fails then.
Michaels Estate is no fire brigade and Branca is no firefighter.

I am afraid we are unable to participate due to the below,

1. Time-scale (lack of notice)
2. Due to the lack of notice we are unable to compile questions in time
3. The conference call happens in the middle of the night which due to my having a regular job I am unable to stay up all night
4. They need to come to me
5. I find it deplorable I have to prove who I am to them, if we were good enough for Michael then I find it an insult that I have to go running to them
6. The estate are not involved.

Very good reason and shows they lack of preparedness and professionalism, and common sense. Did they ever consider the time zone factor. Fan owners contacting them show they feel we are in need of them and their efforts. We do not need GLE to give us a tribute when we have the Estate who will conduct a respectful and appropriate one.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

You know what, I just wrote to them, let's see!

If you won't do it I will, even if I speak french, even if I'm on the other side of the ocean, and even if I'll have to use the phone at my office during my business hours.

^^This sounds as though you think our reasons for being unable to participate are not just and appropriate. It is not a matter of "if you won't do it," as you claim above, but as Gaz said, there are several reasons which as a community it is inappropriate for the forum to take part at this time. By all means contact them if you wish, but since you are not the head of a fan group, you will not receive the same respect, at least in their eyes.

MJ Tribute Concert
Peace Treaty Offered to Angry Fans

The people behind the upcoming Michael Jacksontribute concert want to make peace with the fans who have sworn to boycott the event ... by inviting them all to join in on a conference call to air out their grievances.

TMZ spoke to a rep for the concert who says they're inviting the leaders of several prominent fan groups to join them Wednesday for "an informative call to address some of the misinformation about the upcoming Michael Forever tribute."

For those unfamiliar, a TON of MJ fan groups banded together in anger -- after Jermaine and Randy Jackson claimed it would be "inappropriate" to support a concert "during the criminal trial surrounding Michael's death."

We're told event organizers are hoping the call with put "rumors and incorrect information to rest."

Stay tuned ...

Well, with all due respect, yes I am the head of a fan group, and I also have the right to have my own opinion on the reasons to participate or not to this conference call. A question though, 11AM PST is GMT -7 hours... so if the conference call is at 11AM PST like they say in their message, wouldn't it be 6 or 7 pm in UK?

Thank you :)

I actually wonder why I have recieved the Xyla Ross message about the conference call on my personal fb account and not on my group one...

Unfortunately, this piece is not balanced, at all. There are NO "rumors and misinformation. All that we object to, comes from GLE's "official" statements. It reads like GLE is COMMANDING fan club presidents to participate in this. (see Gaz's reasons why NOT). One good thing is, this fiasco is getting media attention, and ESPECIALLY the fan response. I hope the Jacksons finally, FINALLY get it, that fandom certainly does not automatically transfer to THEM. :puke:

Sigh. I guess this should have a response. . . . .

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Oh I missed one,

7. Them using the term misinformation

Absolute crap why

1. The date of the concert is over the top of the Conrad Murray manslaughter trial - FACT
2. They invited Gene Simmons, they have no clue about Michael and have not done their home work on him - FACT
3. As per their own Facebook page it did say the artists would sing their own songs - FACT
4. The put the non turn up policy - FACT
5. They did not name where the charitable donations were going - FACT

To use the word misinformation is again testament to they are clueless and do not getting with reality on what is going on - FACT

I will not back down on this as we have the one shot to do justice for Michael, Global Live are far from doing that job - FACT

PLUS....speaking wholly for myself. I DON'T CARE!! FACT.

Global has made themselves irrelevant to me now. I don't care what they do, where they do it, or how they do it. I'm sick of them.

In reading the August 29th hearing thread, I am reminded of what is actually important. And it's not Global Events in any shape, form, fashion, or conference call.

So in the words of the song of their headliner Cee Lo Green... F...orget You!

Re the NYTimes article - interesting to see how long LaToya was involved in this fiasco. We found about her involvement through our own research when we should have found out when they held their first press conference. But I guess she did not want to be seen as once again trying to make money off Michael.

Anyway, that trust fund thing offends me to the core. GLE should give that money to some members of the Jackson family. They need it far more than Michael's children ever will!! Wonder who is to manage the 'trust fund'? Makes me gag just thinking about it.

I saw in a past article that Katherine is managing the trust fund for the children.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

@Autumn Yeah I only posted TMZ for a point of interest and not for it's accuracy. LOL

@The Chosen One, I couldn't agree more.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I don't know, divide and conquer maybe!

yes they figured that if they threw that in there that the kids would be getting money put in a trust fund that the fans would automatically support this mess, These GLE people are SO uneducated with ANYTHING to do with Michael that they must think that Michael's fans are too...all they have done is make themselves look WORSE by using the children as peddlers for this farce. As far as Latoya trying to stay behind the scenes and NOT be forthcoming about HER involvement from the beginning .that should speak volumes to people about her character, Also it should speak volumes about her OWN words of...."Follow the money" cuz right now at this point in time....that arrow is pointing directly at HER. Greed is NOT an attractive look for her

Naaaw I get it, I only posted once on the Fans agains Michael Forever tribute page with my groupe account to state that I supported this page.. and commented more with my personal account.. and since this Xyla Ross person is sending fb messages to many fb pages (fangroup or individual who post often) I got it to my personal account... lol

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Of COURSE she is. Managing it right into HER children's pockets. I find the use of the word "trust" to be quite ironic in this context.

Latoya Jackson and her phoney tribute can go to hell. I've had it with this mess and complete disrepect towards Michael and his fans. F* You Latoya and GLE

Itgirl, is just one more Global Live joke, in my opinion.

According to their PROFILE page, they have handled, get ready now, because the names are HUGE:

Ready!

In Sports: Rashad Evans (Boxer, I never heard of him)

In Film & Television: Vida Guerra (I never heard of her)

AND MUSIC:

Nick Carter

LOL!

Yeah I've read that too... wow, 3 people.. and now GLE... Well, we all have to start somewhere I guess... I'd love to know when they worked with Nick carter? To see how they work and how they handled their client's situation...

edit, ah here it is:

"LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Backstreet Boys (news - web sites) singer Nick Carter has been arrested near Los Angeles on suspicion of drunk driving, police said.

The 25-year-old singer was pulled over after allegedly committing a traffic violation in the Los Angeles-area city of Huntington Beach in Saturday night, Huntington Beach police Lieutenant Dave Brunetta said."

I like this:

" The pop star's publicist blamed Carter's legal woes on a prescription medicine that he was taking.

"Nick Carter deeply regrets the current situation," publicist Juliette Harris said in a statement.

"He is on doctor-prescribed medication and was unaware of its interaction possibilities," she added. "

Unaware of it's interaction possibilities???
He didn't know that mixing a fifth of scotch would interact with the pills?

Oh well, I thought maybe some of you Backstreet fans might want to see this.

I dont know what kind of job they did with their 3 other clients, but so far, with GLE, they sucked, as far as PR is concerned.

Interview: Cee Lo Green

By Sandra Sperounes, Postmedia News August 31, 2011

(...) Meanwhile, he's getting ready for a few festival dates, including Sunday's Sonic Boom at the Expo Centre, and a Michael Jackson tribute concert in Cardiff, Wales. Or maybe not.

Green is one of the scheduled performers - along with Christina Aguilera, Ne- Yo and Smokey Robinson - but some Jackson fans and three of his siblings, including Janet Jackson, won't participate in the Oct. 8 show. They say the timing is terrible because Dr. Conrad Murray's trial for involuntary manslaughter is set to start on Sept. 20. (He's accused of administering an anesthetic to Jackson in the hours before his death.)

Their statements are causing confusion among other fans and even the performers themselves.

"I just read the gig was cancelled, so I'm not sure," says Green. "But I'm up for it - I already have my bags packed. It's honourable to be asked by the family and estate to celebrate the life and accomplishments of Michael Jackson."

By the family... AND the Estate?? Is that what they told the artists?

...the family AND the Estate." What da!

That's not true! Is Global Live purposely lying to the performers, leading them to believe the Estate of Michael Jackson is involved in this fiasco?

That Estate might have to get in touch with some of these folks and make it VERY clear that they are not involved with this so-called tribute in any way, shape or manner.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Can we all agree...NO ONE should take part in this Conference Call unless the estate is formally invited to take part?

I am sick of these people making a mockery of MJ and his legacy.

Does celo have a twitter

Perhaps they are lying?..I don't see why he would say he was asked by the Estate unless he is assuming that the Family is in control of it or something?..It doesn't really make sense.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

lol... I wrote to Juliette Harris asking her what was happening since Cee-Lo said the concert was canelled.. she answered in the second askimg me where I saw that... I'll make her wait a little... or she can just find the article link by herself, hell I don't work for them
