Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

It's the article that needs to be posted actually, with an indication that they should read the info part. Although I wonder how long it will remain there.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I bet 100,- that the complete "tribute" will be cancelled !

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Ticketmaster seem not to be selling tickets anymore. Wonder why.

Actually I think Ticketmaster will sell a max of 10 tickets to one card holder but Global Live only 6 (GLE Tribute Terms and conditions). Not sure what to read into that...except a loosening of restrictions on numbers in order to sell more.

Note Tickets may not be available in all price levels and sections.

Ticket Limit

There is a strict limit of ten tickets per person and per card.

A trust fund of $100,000 is laughable!! These kids get something like $86,000/month from the MJ estate. If they were truly sincere about this they would hand the money over to the estate. But Katherine as trustee? I smell a rat...

When I read updates about the IMMORTAL TOUR I :D:wub: When I read about this fundraiser for the Jackson family I :mat::mat:

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I voted in the poll to cancel this thing. 78% that is a big NO to these people but they don't listen. Did Katherine herself say that the estate gives her no money? Who pays her new house and everything? Jermaine or Randy? I don't think so. I really hope the general public don't buy this. I think the estate is playing this smart. Once they do something illegal they will nail them. Latoya and company use Katherine to do their promotion. It looks bad the estate stopping an 80 year mom from doing a tribute to her son. They all hide behind Katherine. But at the same time she should know better too. She should know what a real tribute to Michael should be. I never thought his mother would contribute to this negativity. Is it okay to say I don't know if Katherine means well or what she is doing?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

The estate need to go after katherine regardless.thats why they are all hiding behind her cause they know the estate wont do anything.its time they did or this will only stop when katherine dies

katherine is shamelessly abusing this position of hers (to be able to do whatever she wants). I don't think I've ever seen an 82 year old be as greedy as Katherine in my entire life. NEVER.

The rat is that Joseph and Katherine have put the kids to work. " Tribute for their daddy'' my butt.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

They say they have 3 more "big" acts to announce in the coming days. What are they waiting for? Maybe more people would buy tickets if they knew who they were.

Or is it possible there are really no "big" acts yet but they are still frantically working the phones. Alot of groveling must be going on!!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Michael is a common boy's name and the estate can't legally make them drop the name even if everyone knows it is Michael Jackson.

I know Michael is a common boy's name, but there have been cases where if the name brings to mind the product that is copyrighted, then you may have a case, so it is debatable as well. Well the estate knows what they are doing.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

MIDWIN CHARLES, ATTORNEY, MIDWIN CHARLES AND ASSOCIATES: Well, I don`t think he should shut up. What he`s saying is what a lot of people still believe. And remember, there were two separate allegations. One resulted in settlement. The second one resulted in a trial.

So what he`s saying isn`t unorthodox. It`s not unreasonable, given the facts. And he`s entitled to speak his mind.

Not only do we have uneducated doctors--Muarry, Drew--but we have uneducated lawyers. Here this Midwin guy rather than talking about proof and evidence showing Michael was not guilty, and stressing he was found not guilty of all charges, he ocuses on speculation and about what people think in their minds. Why not discuss what happened in the first settlement. He is suppose to be a legal expert? These discussions with quasi-professional doctors and lawyers, are rarely creditable when they get people like Midwin who simply wants some money. How difficult was it to get TMez or some other credible lawyer there.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

A number of fan clubs -- and posters on Facebook -- have erroneously disseminated news that invited artists will perform their own songs, a point Hunt vehemently denied. "All the songs in the tribute are Michael Jackson's either from The Jackson 5, The Jacksons era or his solo career," Hunt says. "Every one. Period."
They have changed the information again. How many times now have they changed the information about the concert details, or deleted names from their organization list. Don't they realize that we have copies of these things. This Hunt guy is not to bright in the head.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Funny thing is, they havent changed anything on the FB page, whether it's on the FAQ sheet or the info part... Great PR or what?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Ben, they did not change it on the page, but Hunt is changing it verbally, so either he does not know what is on the page or he is a dishonest fool or both.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Personally, I vote for both. :p

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

^^Me to Ben. This 100,000 pledge to the kids, at least in the last speech global said it was a pledge, will the family get it if sales are low or the variety concert cancelled. I wonder if there was some fine print in the contract that said we pledge 100,000 if the concert goes through. What age are the kids suppose to get this money? They could spend it on rent, since their monthly rent is just as high.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Actually, at the end of the press conference, Hunt gave a check to KJ. And he said the kids would be able to get the money when they are of age if I remember right. So it seems the Js already got the money.

Ben how could they already get the money when he said later it was a pledge. I think they made up something like a check, similar to the checks I get in the mail which state at the bottom that it is not a real check. It may have been symbolic of a check to come later. If this outfit began in March, where did they get money to hand out $100,000? Wouldn't they have to wait for sales. The thing is they change the wording all the time so it is hard to keep up.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Maybe you're right. Could have just been a blank piece of paper for all we know. Not only do they change the wording and the conditions all the times, but there's also shady connections and people behind the scenes.
I'll never understand how some people can trust them with their money.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

^^Now you are getting into the scope of why certain people do certain things Ben and you may be here all night!!!! In fact, figuring out the Jacksons behavior is a dissertation in itself, not to mention the people who paid money for this variety concert. Let's see what they tweet, and I am waiting with baited breath to see if they sold 50% over the weekend as Hunt predicted.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I spent time in the Cirque thread for the first time today and I gotta say the difference between the two events is stark.

As a theatre producer I am all about process, having a germ of an idea and working with a team of creative people to see that idea grow and develop. That is what I see with the Cirque show. They worked with the Estate. They hired people who have worked with Michael. They are creative and innovative and have shown tremendous respect to us as fans.

It makes the comments by Mrs Jackson (greatest concert EVER) even more farcical and offensive.
