MJ Forever Tribute/ MJJC Statement / Estate statement / Fan letter pg51/ GLE put on administration

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

When you put a press conference for a concert without announcing any artists, this is not going well

When you have to write a FAQ sheet to explain the choices made for this concert, this is really not going well...

When you need to do a conference to 'listen' to a majority of people who strongly disagree with your concert (and those being the people you actually wanted to attend your concert)... things are really bad.

''try to address the issues raised by fans'' :coffee: and who will answer? Nancy something? Latoya? Juliette who knows who? Paul Ring? Katherine crying? I really wonder which pointsd they are gonna bring in favor of their crap.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

BTW, for those who plan to attend this conference, don't make a thread to ask the fans to write their questions about the concert, do it in private, cause they'll read it here and prepare their answer so you'll be cooked at the conference.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

This is ridiculous. The conference call can't undo anything.
It's all so wrong from the beginning. The only thing they can do is just cancelling it.
Nothing they can do to erase what happened before.
Maybe they should reply to the estate first.
What a shame that they J family working with this promoter and using MJ, MJ's kids and fans to profit.
Really make me sick.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Oh, I hope to receive that call... Do they really want Gaz & I on the same conference? Really?

Please Oh Please tell them whats up..I know for a fact that with you and Gaz both on that conference call..THEY dont stand a chance...:lmao:

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

PLEASE, SPARE ME!

What happened? TICKET REGISTRATION didn't work out according to plan? LOL!

Now, the day BEFORE tickets go on sale to the general public, they decide to make this "grand" gesture to the fans. I don't buy that crap for a second. Not one second!

The fans have been unhappy since day one. There have been negative stories in the press since day one. The letter endorsed by 35++++ fan clubs has been out for several days now. More bad press. Now all of a sudden they want to address fan concerns.

As far as I'm concerned, they can take their tribute concert and their "Johnny-Come-Lately-Concerns" and toss them in the nearest river!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Maybe they think the fans are gonna be so impressed being in front of so important people that they'll just forget why they were against this tribute...

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

First they use Michael, then his children and now, his fans. this people are unbelievable!!!

They want to convince us that this a great tribute and probably they'd say that this what his children want to do.
Sometimes I think it's better if they just go ahead with this mess and let them pay themselves for all the expenses they might have incurred in this tribute by now. Probably this will teach them they can't mess with Michael anymore.

:) we are waiting for that invitation but to me it seems like it would never happen :)

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

If they do please ask this question/
What is Latoya Jackson's Company Jatail's involvment in the tribute concert?
And does her company Jatail profit in any way from this Tribute Concert?

http://jatail.com/paul_ring.php
WHY I ask is becuase Jatail company seems to offer all aspects in producing such shows and
Paul Ring the executive for Global live works in an executive position for Latoya's Co.
This has really been bothering me .. I feel she may be directly Profiting and manipulating Katherine
(Follow the money)

The Estate is the one who brought this to our attention for a reason
I think they know something is not Kosher

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I wonder what kind of losses they will immediately realize if they DON'T keep going until there is no choice but to cancel.

The 100K to Katherine for the children is probably not refundable.
They probably had to pay a non refundable deposit to the stadium for holding the date.
Their top few artist may have gotten a signing bonus, just for agreeing to participate.
For the Vienna proposed concert, the city or some backer contributed $600,000 euro's for it, but withdrew the monies when it all began to fall apart.

Global may have already incurred debts that if they can just get 50,000 to attend, they'll at least be able to pay their debts.

I hope the Jacksons & Global get into a big debt for trying this non-sense. They probably thought they would get a good profit and maybe they might end up with a huge debt.

Let's just hope the 100k was deposited into the children's acct. I was wondering if the guardian has to make sure if this money goes to children or if she only deals with the estate?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I still feel MJJC should ask the fans to send their questions in private since we know they read in here... I have no idea how it could be done, but them being able to prepare their answers cause they read all our questions on the forum is just too easy ;)

But.. well, anyway they already know all of our concerns... so.. forget it. :)

It's really quite insulting how they continue to under estimate the intellect of MJ fans.

They get Katherine's blessing, promise a galaxy of stars, and MJ fans are expected to accept anything they come up with, from subpar line up to skyhigh prices. When they see its not working, they come up with a new manipulation to pacify with a conference call.

While reading this press release, all I thought about was Martin Bashir, a snake who presented himself favorably to Michael so he could completely take advantage of him. That's all Global is trying to do. Take advantage of the love fans have for MJ and tap into our pockets, which they apparently think are very deep, since we're expected to give a charity donation above already extortionist ticket prices.

This concert is purely a money making creation, it is not about honoring MJ and they dishonor me as well as piss me off by trying to convince me they care about Michael or me as a fan.

have you seen the new FAQ

M4FAQ.png

so funny

1. so charities only get what is pledged.

2. "first time in 10 years Jackson's performed together on stage" - okay but they don't even have randy and jermaine attending. how is that qualify for jackson's performing together?

3. "and will almost certainly be the last" - didn't randy said that they are planning a reunion? if they do it won't be the last.

4. still "biggest and most loved artists" delusion going on

5. now it's 1 MJ song and some of of their songs.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Voted. I hope many fans are not going to be taken in by this conference call scheme. I hope they do not begin to think that Global want to do the right thing and so begin to buy tickets. The mere fact that these people are so desperate to continue this concert shows it is not about Michael. The boycott still stands in my book. Just as we said, they are continuing to look for more artists until the end, another indication that they have no intention of cancelling whether Michal fans attend or not. They simply want the conference call to appease some fans egos--to make them think that Global is concerned about fans' views. This is time to stand firm with our resolve and do not give in.

After the conference call we should send a message stating that the boycott is still on. We want a tribute that is about Michael Jackson, where his name can be shown, his popular music played, and where current international artists are involved. Right now they have a concert where you have to whisper the name of the person being honored, because no permission has been given to use his name. What kind of nonsense is that!!!!!

They said there were donating to 3 charities. Where's the third one? I hope they're not confusing the JFTF with a charity org. Well coming from them - anything is possible.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

one MJ song Does this mean they are taking the Estate seriously and they are afraid they will be sued for not being granted permission to sing the songs written by Michael? I hope so. The estate needs to play hard ball with these guys.

Michael knew his family well...

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

One MJ song before singing their own?

Does that mean they will each sing 1, or all will pay tribute together with a song before the whole concert just being everyone else singing their own stuff?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

That FAQ is hilarious. They must be living in a parallel universe or something. It looks more and more like a Jackson family tribute.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

If the Muppets sign on, I'm in.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Now what Michael Jackson fan goes to his tribute concert to hear only one song. I think global forgot that Michael's songs are on DVD and video now so all we have to do is stay home and listen/see the real thing!!!!

This event will not be repeated because there is no other company that is as dumb/greedy/selfish/dishonest as global.

Your first sentence is right to the point. Couldn't fleece Michael, couldn't fleece the estate, couldn't fleece his children so let's see if we can fleece his fans.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I thought it was interesting that they want to plan a conference call, but the spokeswoman apparently can't even take a few minutes to read the letter that clearly spells out why the fans have a problem with the tribute. Also, maybe they should consider responding to the estate's letter.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

How wonderfully collaboratively GLE is being! Bless their hearts!

A shame that they failed to collaborate with the Estate in the beginning. What they chose to do instead was to latch themselves onto an entity (the Jackson family) that has no legal standing as it pertains to Michael's music, image and likeness.

GLE started out wrong and made a fundamental mistake. There is no un-ringing of that bell!

Conference call all you like GLE but answer the questions of the Estate first!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Why is it that Global Live and members of the Jackson family are behaving as though Michael Jackson fans do not matter when presenting a Michael Jackson Tribute concert?......I am so dumbfounded by their continued mindless actions!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

When will people learn that they should not go to the Jackson family when they want to make a product or plan a concert using Michael Jackson's name and property. When, When, When will they learn? At the same time, when will the Jackson family learn that they cannot give people permission to use Michael Jackson's name and property for promotional reasons? It has been 2 years and they still do not understand and never will until they are taken to court.

Are they planning to conference the estate too, idiots!!!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I wish I was at that conference call so I take take the bull by the horn personally. Trust me, I won't be asking any softballs questions like the media. They can read this forum and try to get the answers to my questions, but it won't matter either way.

Here is my shortlist:

-Why does all donation has to be pledge by ticket buyers instead of given a percentage of the total ticket sells?

-Why are the tickets so expensive when seeing Michael when he was alive was never that high? A bigger arena hardly justify when you consider TII had a much bigger production cost and was over 50 dates and not one night.

-Why didn't you go to the estate, who has the rights to everything Michael? You could had ask permission from the estate and then ask for Mrs. Jackson's for her blessing. If you did that, you would have access to all of Michael's songs both classic and hidden gems.

-Why did you advertise Michael's kids in the ticket section as a reason for people to buy tickets? It shouldn't make any difference if any or none of the kids come.

-Why is the tribute in the same time frame as the trial? You could of had it early next year and it would make little different in the grand scheme of things. Shouldn't getting justice for Michael take priority over any tribute? Michael's musical legacy is eternal. It won't suddenly die because a year or two has pass. If that was the case, then Michael's legacy wasn't very strong to begin with.

-Why didn't you secure the line-up before even announcing this tribute? Any normal concert take months or even a year of advance planning. Especially when you are dealing with artists who all have their own tours or performances plan. If you wanted more well known artists, you shouldn't had waited so late or pushed back the tribute to a time where more people are free and aware of what you are doing. You also lied as well since you gave the impression that you had the final line-up ready during your press conference, which was obvious not the case.

-Why did you so utterly fail to do the research in regard to KISS. Gene's comments are well known and could had been easily found using Google. If this tribute is truly about honoring Michael, shouldn't the first thing you look at is if that artist said bad or questionable things about Michael in the past. Also, when you did learn what Gene said you simply call it 'unfortunate'. It wasn't unfortunate because Gene meant what he said and it something that should never happened. This gives the impression you were more concert in securing a big name then actually honoring Michael.

-Why are you so rude to fans on your facebook page? These are you buying audience and you have ban and deleted any message you didn't like. You also actively ignore concerns presented to those who may actually want to buy a ticket.

I am sure there is much more I want to ask, but this is all I can think of at the moment.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I can't believe there are people actually buying tickets for this god forsaken pile of garbage.
