I dont think the kids know either. Or maybe they've heard things and don't want to believe them. If you're that young, and you've just lost the only parent you had, it must be extremely hard to think all, or most, of the people around you are only interested in the money you represent. Especially if they're now the only family you've got.

Sad but true. A hater sent her videos of toya and janet reebie ect talking shit about mj.i guess she didnt watch them and it wouldnt work coming from a hater.the only way it would work is if it came from ppl who she knows but im sure the family have cut all ties with ppl like that.ie cascios etc

I don't think you give the kids enough credit. They don't live in a complete bubble.

Fans told them about the stuff Eminem did to Michael back in 2001, yet she still listen to his music and call him one of her favorite artists. She twittered about watching Family Guy with Michael and that show made some off-colored jokes about him and I doubt they missed every episode that reference him. Fans here have pretty much link most of Toya's interviews, so they do know to some extent. They just may chose to be positive and not share their true feelings with a bunch of strangers on the internet.

I am getting the feelings that fans want to believe Paris is clueless. Otherwise, they may feel like Paris betrayed her father if she knows, but simply chose not to talk or acknowledge it.

I don't know if it would be better if they knew. In a way, it's better to know the truth about those around you; but on the other hand, what situation would they be in? Because at the end of the day, they still have to live with those people. They have no one else.

I agree with you. I think the family talks about Michael when the kids are not around. The kids see them as "family" which they should, and feel they love them and protect them. Notice, that someone on the social network tried to tell Paris what Latoya said and Paris responded that she did not believe it. I think that is the best way. For now, let them believe that Latoya, Janet, and grandma did not talk negatively about their dad in the press. When they are 18 things will be different. Now they are children and need the security that they receive from these people, even though the security is false.

When they are 18 members will begin to ask them for loans and money and then they will begin to see a pattern for themselves. Plus they will run across all the statements family members said about Michael. Actually, I am surprised they have not come across several of them yet, since they attend school and like to use the internet. Maybe they are searching only specific sites. I do feel, though, that Prince knows more than Paris. He seems to be more thoughtful and reserved.

Not that I think she really does, but it makes me feel better to know that it may impact her in the smallest of ways even. Somewhere, inside her, she has to know she's wrong. It's just that the greed motivation is too high, and completely overshadows everything else.

I think the main question is if they did chose to say something bad about the family on twitter, what exactly would be the point. For better and for worst, Toya is her aunt. It isn't like they can tell her not to visit them anymore. It would be like any 12 years going on facebook and talking smack about their aunt or uncle. Regardless about how you may feel about them, you simply don't do stuff like that, especially if you are underage.

I have an uncle who is anything but good, but my mom would knock my head if I said anything bad about him to strangers or other family members. It was only within the inner circle of my close family that I could express how much I dislike him. So, I don't see why it would be any different for Michael's kids.

I think Grandma Katherine is in waaay over her head in all of this. When I first read about Paris and her twitter account I remember shaking my head and thinking, what would Michael say about this. Now, with this latest business with Latoya, I truly am beginning to believe Granny is losing control of the situation. Perhaps she doesn't understand the potential harm something like twitter can do, the inappropriate or hurtful or threatening comments a person can receive. Looking at events each one by itself, it might not seem like anything of significance. But looking at the 'big picture' , I can't help but feel Katherine is slowly giving over over control to 'well meaning and loving' aunties and uncles. Now she is suing his Estate? It is not easy to criticize the mother Michael said was 'perfect' but there it is. This tribute attempt should never have happened at this time and in this way. For me this is the final straw. I wish I could put the entire family on "ignore". It is time they stopped.....

This thing about Paris is getting far afield. I do not think fans in this thread want Paris to call out these people in public. It seems to me that the initial issue was whether these kids knew what was going on. Let's reign in our thoughts, because a mod is going to come in and say we are going off topic.

Michael had millions of fans around the world and I doubt ever last one of them felt the same you most of us do on this forum. Even if we combine all the fan forums together we only cover a small percent of Michael's total fanbase. When Janet spoke those words I am certain she was speaking about as a whole. Namely, most fans saw Michael as an icon, great musician, and performer. They may had fallen in love with his music, but maybe didn't care for as much about the man. I know because several people in my family is like this. There have also been 'fans' who have and continue to hurt Michael, so not all fans love or care about Michael despite what they claim.

With that said, however, several people in his family are no better than some haters. However, it isn't like Janet was going to say that most people in her family are jackasses.

WE the fans are not trying to put on a tribute concert for Michael with SOME people that didn't even respect Michael, LaToya could give a hoot if they did or not because as far as she is concerned "its all about forgiveness" Michael was stepped on by this family in life and now they are trying to do it in death..and this time they are trying to include HIS children...as far as I am concered there IS NO bigger slap in the face than that. They did what they did to him while he was here but atleast the kids were with HIM...and now they are with THEM...the very people that hurt him while he was here. What they ARE doing is teaching these children that it is OK for people to step on your fathers memory...."as long as we forgive them" and that is wrong no matter how you slice it.

Samantha De Gosson talked about it too when she realized it was the same guy that interviewed her. Someone posted it here somewhere, can't remember if it's in this thread or the previous one.

"OMG! I just read who was involved as the US CEO for the Tribute concert in question. Same director who interviewed me as a participant in a Documentary meant to be released on June 25th, 2011. An American documentary focusing on his murder and everyone involved. It was never realeased then and I was told it was on the back-burner for a while. I found out that the director in question ended up directing Latoya's latest video and is now part of this venture and chose to ignore/forget/let go of his true first intentions with this documentary. After my participation, off camera I was asked what I wanted this documentary to represent and I answered by saying "I hope this can have as much as an impact as a Michael Moore Documentary". His present staff who sat there during the whole recording answered back by saying " He's better than Michael Moore".

Well. I just discovered that the people behind the tribute include that director and Leonard Rowe, Joseph Jackson and Latoya Jackson. Yes, in her book she mentions the followers (which includes me) who were there the last few months and who tried to save him and who knew the truth....It's all a very sick sick world.

^^That was "follow the money LaToya." They wanted to make a case that Michael was a drug addict, because the media was saying that he died from an over dose of drugs. Latoya found this in the house in the kitchen cupboard. She does not even know if this was there before Michael moved into the home, but ran with it to the police. What kind of sister is that. At the same time Oxman was shouting that he knew Michael would die of DA, and she thanks this man in her book. Thinking of them makes me tired.

So she will turn the old marijuana that was found in a kitchen cabinet that most likely isn't Michael's over to the police. But she won't give the names of the people who she claims were in the house the night her brother died and she believes murdered him to the police?

You know I disliked when she said that at that time and I still do. At the moment when all people who loved him were grieving irrespective of familial ties, to me, that was an unkind thing to say. As I said before, she does not know the depth of feeling that some non-family members had for that man. All she needed to say was something like "I know you share our grief, thank you for your sympathy, we will miss our brother, etc." Here statement made it seem that the feelings the fans had were not as significant, deep, and true as those of the family and I don't buy that. How many fans knew more about Michael than they did, saw him more, and gave him more love, which is all that man really wanted--to be loved. So that statement right there is meaningless to me.

Same here, I disliked it as well, though at that time I gave her a pass for obvious reasons. But I disliked her words so much, considering how fans were feeling, so many of us were (and still are) aching for so long after Michael died, so many of us had to go and see a therapist (I being one of them) so many of us were nearly suicidal, so for that woman to stand there and ridicule/dismiss our feelings like that, was just so painful, it showed what Janet Jackson's thinks of 'fans' in general, you know it is us fans who make them rich, successful etc. it's due to us they become what they become. But whatever, that comment of her doesn't bother me anymore, because I'm so beyond everything Janet Jackson says or does, it's like she doesn't exist for me anymore.

Someone I know (online) actually spoke to the person who sent her the stuff and the supposed hater told my friend, that they were saying nasty things to her to get her (Paris) attention something they would've never manged by sending friendly tweets since Paris only reacts to hateful tweets. They told my friend that there whole goal was to make Paris aware of the nasty stuff her family said about Michael, but Paris refused to believe anything and said the media was making it up, putting words into her beloved family's mouth's. I doubt the child even clicked on the link, though the hater's approach was wrong, I can definitely see where they were coming from tbh.

I don't think now is thw right time to be getting the kids to see about their families lies. I agree that they need the support that they have from the family at the moment and the time will come when they are adults and can process it emotionally and intellectually and be in a position to deal with it properly.

I personally suspect that the people working for her informed her of the whole situation and that there was no way she was ever going to be apart of it. I'm sure they have even tried getting bigger names and they certainly aren't doing it..The entire thing is a complete mess..Beyonce's just being kind about it all because she would never say something like "The majority of fans don't support it, it's a scam ect therefore I will never perform for it" ..Doing a performance and allowing it on a screen is just a way for her to indirectly be apart of it, maybe she's doing it as a favor to Katherine or something? This is all just my guess *shrug*
