Re: Someone's mixed STTR with Bieber
when are the estate going to release an announcement??
when are the estate going to release an announcement??
It would have been the estate that approached Bieber, not the other way around as they have the acapella. Also interesting to note that it is Sony who are removing uploads, not Bieber's label.
Yes, we already have the leaked version. But the leaked original MJ solo version is not of good quality. The sound is not CD quality. If I play MJ's STTR original version on huge speakers, I can hear some distortion. I am an audiophile and I have a good ear for sound quality. I only play Michael Jackson's music in my car subwoofer all the time and I am very meticulous when it comes to audio quality.
I am hoping that the MJ estate would release STTR in PRISTINE CD QUALITY, and if they release STTR duet with Bieber, I have no problem with it, as long as they release the original MJ solo of STTR along with the duet in the next project of posthumous MJ album.
This shows how clueless the estate really is
edit: sorry ivy, did not see your post.Hello there:
For those who have been asking about the recently posted recording of “Slave 2 The Rhythm” by Michael and Justin Bieber, this recording was not authorized and has been taken down.

So there we have it. Justin didn't have permission to do such song, and now he must pay? Sue him!
So how did JB get hold of the acapella?

That's the million dollar question. And why would he work on a track without having permission to use the vocals? So how did JB get hold of the acapella?

He worked with Rodney Jerkins who may have had it. He also worked with Tricky Stewart I believe and we all know what he did.
To avoid confusion: That statement is of no importance as it is contradicting to the copyright claim by SME (Sony Music Entertainment) for the takedown.
Unfortunately it does NOT mean that horrible mix was not commissioned by The Michael Jackson Estate.
So the nightmare ain't over.
Exactly...a) "Recording" meaning leak so it is taken down
b) "Recording" meaning song being made so it is taken down.
Which one would it be? Cryptic to say the least.

Why would Rodney have STTR Aca?
More likely from Tricky because he worked on the song
