Has the 3.2 million pre-order thing been confirmed?
If so, I would say the real number is 3.199.999, cause I cancelled as I heard BN. Ok, I am impulsive. :mello:

Michael released six studio albums and one remix album during his adult time. Off The Wall, Thriller, BAD, Dangerous, HIStory, Invincible and Blood on the Dance Floor. All of the above albums are among the best selling in the world. All of the above are multi-platinum albums. They are best selling because they are GOOD. Michael's fan didn't buy the albums because they are from Michael Jackson. People buy Michael Jackson albums because of the quality. Michael Jackson was a genius and his music were masterpieces.

If this upcoming album is not as successful, fans are not the one to blame. You can't blame consumers for the failure of a product. As I mentioned before, our concerns are legit. The success of this album is determined by the general public. The general public, unlike us, don't spend hours on MJ forum discussing Breaking News. The public listen to the song on radio. If they like it enough, they'll buy the album. If they don't like it, then of course they will not be interested.

From what I have read, Breaking News received mostly mixed to negative review. I'm not surprised at all. The quality of the song is just not good enough. Even if the vocal is 100% MJ, I'd stil say the vocal quality is sub-par. Now, can we be blamed for the luke-warm reaction from the public?

I wouldn't be too pessimistic yet. I hope Sony and the Estate learn from this lesson. The key to success is to treat the consumers right. Forget the gimmick and give fans and the music buyers good music.

I hope they release a "genuine" song from Michael as the first real single and hopefully people's hope and interest will be re-ignited.

Sorry Ashtanga, this isn't aimed personally at you, just you were the first example I came across... with the L.O.V.E.

I am a little confused as to what the fans are asking for when they say they need "proof" and "explanations"....
I understand you....

BUT, if Sony/Estate says nothing and the silence continues, the mess will continue and the fans will keep charging. :bugeyed

What do you prefer? I prefer that Sony/Estate make a official statement explaining what is happening.

So I think it's better Sony/Estate say something to end this mess once.

:)
Maybe some pre-orders were cancelled but I mean 3.2 million already, ok let's say that now its 3 million, this is huge, he is going to break a new record!!!!!!

He is at the top right know, Let's support ok not the album, let's support the real tracks!!!!
And we will give him a new succes!!!!!!!! He gave us so much, let's give him a new record, a new succes, a new generation of fans!!!!!!

BE POSITIVE PEOPLE!!!

The album Michael it's going to sell millions of copies, but he have to stop all this!!!
Fxfan we are being positive and we plan to keep Michael on top where he has earned his rightful place and belongs.

Please don't take my or others remarks to be against Michael or the success of his CD. It is because we care so much that we are szo upset. We do not intend to jeopardise or taint the success of the new CD with an imposter or altered and compressed tracks. People are saying there are full tracks that can be released over the questionable one(s) so Sony needs to let a group of fans go in who'll represent us and listen and make sure that what they put out is is clearly Michael.Wed want to pay to his voice-nothing less and that is not too much to ask.

Yes, SONY MUST make a statement we MUST KNOW what they have decided to do!? When they do, I will determine if I will or will not buy this album indefinitely!

If Michael were here he would boycott "Michael" too. Come on, who wants to buy an album with songs that don't even have the real Michael singing? I wouldn't. I would just to go amazon's MP3 store and purchase the songs that he DID sing and forget the others ones. You can't take fans for fools. Go to Sony's site and leave them feedback! Speak your mind! http://www.sonymusic.com/about/feedback.php

If and only if the album does indeed fail, Michael is not the one to blame neither. Please remember this is in reality a posthumous release. Michael is not even here to approve it himself.

I say do whatever you feel right. Some people will buy the album no matter what. Some just can't stomach the fact that the producers butchered the demos into something unrecognizable. There is no right or wrong. We are not the one to blame. Michael is not the one to blame.

:clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping:

Yes, sir!!

I think if an album with fake songs reached #1, it would just tarnish Michael's legacy further just as much as not buying it at all would. I couldn't support this album if the fake songs are left on. It would no longer be a Michael Jackson album to me. It's all a matter of not getting what you paid for (I'm not paying for Jason Malachi or whoever it is). Sure, I'd download the real tracks from iTunes or something, but I couldn't buy the full album. Sony really needs to get their act together. Give us an official track list so we can know what we're getting into, and they need to do it ASAP.

Guys the Estate are going to be making a statement tomorrow, it has been confirmed.

'Much Too Soon' is absolutely beautiful! I've been listening to the snippet repeatedly for the past 45 mins.

yes, c'mon! Where???

It says on mjstar that they are going to make a statement.

Btw I been listening to Breaking News more now and I am starting to like it even more. Did you people realize that they streamed a slightly different version online? that differentiates between MJ vocals? and the other singer's vocals more clearly.

I gotta check out breaking news now, altough i did hear the chipmunk version for the first time last nite. I thought it was way better than the first version LOL

Does everybody know Sony has already made a statement that they had an independent forensic musicologist examine it and it is indeed 100% Michael. What difference will an announcement from the estate make, we already know it's Michael.

Just went to hear breaking news and my verdict.....still the same it was b4!!

I went to hear it again and it has some parts that are louder than others; some parts of higher quality than others, perhaps to sound more like "breaking news" as in the voice/song is breaking? idk

Uh-oh... just noticed something big!

When you go to listen to BREAKING NEWS on the official page, it NOW says: Album available December 2010. It USED to say: Album available December 14th, 2010.

It's being pushed, everyone... which means it's being changed.

My new wish for the album? For any songs that are "finished" by others into a fully produced track quite different than what MJ left behind, why not put on the CD both Michael's original demo AND the final produced track? It would be really cool to compare what he HAD and would COULD'VE BEEN.

That's a cool idea.

:chillin: Each time I hear Michael Jackson's new song "Breaking News"
I love it more and more. :listeningtomusic

Me too... it is on repeat on the iPod and my kids love it too, actually demand to hear it again and again. I have been emailing local radio stations asking them to play it more.
