Michael - The Great Album Debate

I remember going to the store with my mom after school when Invincible released and getting my blue copy and listening to it for the next months non stop and I mean non stop I went to school came back I watched Pokemon on low volume and listen to Invincible.

I remember doing the same with Thriller, Victory, We Are The World, Captain EO, Bad, Moonwalker (movie in the cinema, VHS cassette and the booklet release), Moonwalk (the Book) 2300 Jackson Street, Dangerous, Oprah's Interview, History, Blood On The Dancefloor, Invincible, NY Concert, Ultimate Collection, + attending the Dangerous concert and History concert + PEPSI commercials (Thriller era, Bad era, Dangerous era). and many, many, many more memories.... not to mention all the excitment before each maxi single release starting back in the days when they were released in 45 vynil format.

As far as I am concerned the tests that were allegedly done by these experts may as well have not happened. We need to see the results, to see exactly what they tested etc. What are the credentials of the experts? Did they compare with Jason? What was the margin of error? There are just too many unanswered questions to put any faith in the claims that these tests proved it is Michael. Also, according to Corey Rooney, the family never saw any test results that made them feel differently either

Well me I wasn't born earlier so I couldn't have all those things or seen him live, This Is It was my chance and sadly I lost it too.

I never got the chance to see Michael live either...Last time he performed in Canada was for the Victory tour and I was only 2 years old...

It's something I dream of all the time :(

I saw Michael 19 times at various events including concerts etc. I was there when the bridge collapsed in Munich. I met Michael in 2000 at the World Music Awards in Monaco. I have some incredible memories. The last time I saw him was at the Killer Thriller party in London in 2002 when he gave that speech about Sony.

When you see Michael perform live, close up, let me tell that's when it hits you. He really does move that incredibly. The man was literally plugged in to the music.

the fans have used computer software and waveform analysis too. And unlike the analysis sony supposedly did, i have SEEN the waveform analysis done by the fans. i.e. it actually exists.

to think that just b/c someone does something for a living must make them an expert is just not true. sometimes it is. but a lot of times it's not. sometimes the perception of authority is just an idea, not reality. how many of us have had a boss that does less work than you do and know less about your business? I know i have. i have no reason to believe that their analysis is any more valid than our comparisons.

if this analysis existed, they would show it. There's no reason not to and 1679 (so far) reasons to show it.
I agree with the bolded. I used to dance Ballroom and Latin when I was younger. There were the professionals and the amateurs. There was a separate competition for both categories. Professionals often also runned dancing schools, so dancing was their living. And that was the only difference. Amateurs often (all of the time, actually) were much better dancers. Louis van Amstel (dancing with the stars?) and his partner Julie Fryer were also in the amateurleague in those days. Just saying.

WOW! I'd love to hear about you meeting Michael :) That must have been something :)

Although I'm jealous of those who have met him, or seen him live, I'm also so happy for you...Cherish those memories (as if I have to tell you) ;)

I was in the first row at the Dagerous concert. On many occasions MJ was looking straight into the eyes of people in the front row. It was magical to look MJ straight into his eyes and he looking back straight into my eyes! With all the hype just after BAD era and escalading Dangerosu era, can you imagine!!!!!!

Do you know Justin aka Waldo?

I have pictures from history concert, but at that concert I wasn't in the first row, i deliberately chose not to go in teh first rown as i wanted to see his feet. When you are in teh first row you don't see his feet as the stage was too high. So for the History concert I was near the V.I.P. But I didn't have a zoom, so the photos are taken from afar lol.

I wonder why he never toured Canada after Victory....What an amazing experience! I wish so much I could have seen him live...You have no idea how much that stings lol

I love hearing all the stories though...Makes me smile :)

Not sure, why?

Just wondered cos I'd like to catch up with him.

Yes he is the superfan with blonde hair. Michael nicknamed him Waldo cos he was always trying to spot him in the crowd. He even dedicated a performance of WYBT to him on the Dangerous Tour. He went to literally every concert on every tour. He was talking about the Cascio tracks on Gearsluts ages ago but I haven't seen him around since.

What did he say about the Cascio tracks?

I figured it was him you were talking about...lol....I've seen him everywhere! haha...Lucky dude...

I read that whole gearslutz thread...Which one was him?

He said they are clearly fake. I can't find the original thread now though. He was posting as Waldo.

Ok,

I know another fan, it's a girl who also followed Michael everywhere. She's from teh Netherlands, and she was standing not far from me on dangerous tour. Later I saw her on some MJ concert videos. Blonde, short hair, blue eyes. Tdaoy she has a son, who she named Michael. I wonder if she posts inhere and what she thinks about those tracks.

Did she wear glasses?

Here is the genuine Mj version of Lisa It's Your Birthday from the Simpsons, followed by the Kip Lennon version. I wonder how many were fooled by the latter? For believers, this is how the Cascio tracks sound to us.

I remember watching the Simpsons when it came out. I wasn't fooled. I wanted so badly to hear MJ singing, but from the moment the voice started singing I had the same reaction as when I heard the Cascio tracks last year.

Back then I didn't understand why they didn't use MJ's genuine voice.
