I agree that was a lame answer to her question. He could have told a story of what happened in the studio. or maybe Some fun facts of their interactions jokes mishaps in the studio etc etc. Some info on how Michaels creative process was when creating the vocals or anything to bring more light on how they made these songs. But just saying Michael sang I pushed the buttons didn't really address the question and gave us nothing. It was just so Odd. Also very weird that he has never given any stories or tid bits of all the wonderful times they spent in the studio together. Its almost like it NEVER happened.
Most producers are so happy and proud to speak about their work with MJ in the studio and speak of his genius , and creativity etc etc. But Eddie has nothing. Seems that him knowing all the doubting going on he would at least acknowledge the fans concerns and try to bring more information to the table. He seems to be hiding refuses to speak. Why? That makes it all seem more suspicious to me
Of course I believe it did happened. But Eddie's complete silence makes me believe he has something to hide. maybe He wanted to release them so badly but he was greedy and didn't want to share by allowing the estate and experts to help him with what he did have. So he secretly added, mixed and manipulated it all himself to the point of tainting and distorting it so badly you cant even decipher which vocals at all were MJ or the backups he used. He distorted to the point it isn't recognizable. It doesn't even sound like MJ vocals as we know them.
Eddie didn't know what he was doing and the fact he stated he erased all MJ's master tracks and vocals only shows he was an idiot If in fact he really did that. Every one has said.. who would such a thing, No one would. Whether they are Michael's vocals or not all the tracks are distorted. Eddie really F**ked it up. Just as if a child scribbled all over a Van Gogh with a crayon ..
After All that .. I like Eddie I wish he wouldn't have done that - And This is ALL speculation - My story changes from time to time on what I think really happened. Except the ending is always the same... Eddie really F**ked it up. Just as if a child scribbled all over a Van Gogh with a crayon ..
What is sad is that Frank describes anecdotes such as MJ smoking weed (who cares?), but Eddie doesn't describe a single anecdote in the studio while supposedly recording 12 songs with THE king of pop. (I guess MJ hoovering and taking garbage outside was easier to remember.)
I really doubt Michael recorded anything down there as claimed by Eddie. You don't record anything serious (as he claimed) in order to erase all the rest and above all in order to have copy-pastes inserted mostly from Invincible right in the middle of the sentences. Not to mention the obvious, music-wise, rip offs of previous songs (you are not alone, stranger in moscow, you rock my world, heaven can wait, they don't care about us, on the line, childhood, earth song, etc. --how serious work is that Eddie?)
However, what I think is that Eddie might have recorded some demos intended for Michael (but not sung by Michael), the same way R. Kelly sang "You are not alone" as a demo for MJ.
Regarding Teddy's claim "nobody can scream like Michael" was as lame as Eddie's answer. He must have been kidding I hope, because the screams are the copy-pastes from MJ's previous recordings!
p.s. Not only some vocals and melodies are partial rip-offs, but in the unreleased version of Monster for example, I even detected the pure and simple rip-off of the "moving stone" sound from Threatened. The shouts from "Ghosts" short film have also been removed from Monster.
