Michael - The Great Album Debate

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Perfect excuse to put STTR on repeat! :cheeky:

Yes! Same with BTM.....My favourite MJ workout songs are WBSS, Get on the Floor (STELLAR for working out), WDAN, Don't Stop, Bad (extended dance mix with false fade), Smooth Criminal extended, TWYMMF, Another Part of Me, Jam, 2 Bad, Superfly Sister, State of Shock, Lovely One, Shake Your Body, Can You Feel It, All Night Dancin', Hollywood Tonight, (spoken part removed), DYKWYCA...among many others lol

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

First off, Howard Mann isn't any better than John McClain or John Branca. Once again, another individual who has a shady past and a history of negotiating against the benefit of Michael and his children. No matter what you believe in regards to the album, Howard Mann should not be thought of as some avenging crusader against Michael's estate.

All you have to do is to look into the fraudulent Heal The World foundation mess that's still going on, to see that Mann isn't doing what he is for Michael's family or his children, but for himself.

All of which are missing on the Cascio tracks.

Which is also missing on each and every song on Invincible.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

How dare you quote Jermaine Jackson? He's a loser from the jealous and greedy Jackson family... :cheeky:

Thanks for this. Interesting to see that even Jermaine of all people says the project was just for money. This entire situation has been one complete mess from start to finish!

Respect to Jermaine. Now will someone pay for him to get out of Africa :)

Lol... :hysterical:

As I said earlier, it is not because someone might show his greed in his life that he never ever again speaks the truth. As much as I don't agree with the Jacksons' policy and greed, Michael didn't have other family than that one and he still loved his brothers and sisters. The contrary is true too, even if some things might appear strange to us. What family in this world isn't strange or quarelling?

We cannot eternally blame people for the same mistakes from the past over and over again and never ever give them credibility afterwards. Among greed, interest, profit there are also other feelings like brotherhood, sadness, compassion, memories, love, ...

Either way, what he said about the Estate was absolutely spot on in my opinion.

Completely irrelevant. There are a world of MJ trademarks all over Invincible that are missing from the Cascio tracks. A WORLD of trademarks.

Absolutely agree! Invincible is New Millenium Michael (wether some like it or not).

The Cascio tracks are Michaelless, flat, common, dull, hopeless, imitated, fake.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Invincible is the album of the day for me today. I listened to it on my way to work this morning.

After listening to it a million times, I'm still very impressed by the sound. 10 years after its initial release. It still sounds fresh. The moment Unbreakable starts to play, I felt bumped! That's the energy from Michael.

I wonder how the album MICHAEL will sound 10 years from now...

I'm listening to the "Dangerous Deposition"... I've really gotta download this! It's so fascinating!

It's fantastic isn't it? I'm always fascinated with how he explains the nature of his songwriting and composition...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Yeah, it's incredible! Hearing him beat box, sing snippets of his songs and dissect his habits is so amazing! I'd love to have picked his brains on his processes!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

And pay attention to the way he sang Dangerous and Billie Jean. There you go. In a court room with no proper equipment whatsoever, he still sounded himself.

Man... you gotta love the guy. Ever so humble, so gentle, just so so lovable.

How could he maintain his coolness and patience when being thrown with so much nonsense...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Yep, and I bet a lot of those questions weren't necessary, they probably just wanted them to sing! Heck, we'd all love for MJ to sing to us in a closed setting!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I love how you can hear his foot stomps while singing Dangerous....I love the way he sings..'....she left me standin' alone....'...that particular part...just so cool lol

I have the entire depostion on my iPod. I listen to it when I'm in the mood for soothing speaking voice...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I'm so glad this audio was released! It's so amazing the way he talks about how he creates music, it's so informative and fascinating!

Speaking of "Dangerous", it's the 20th anniversary this year! Who wants a re-release with outtakes? That would be a great opportunity to release "12 O' Clock"!

EDIT: "I'm trying", "You're failing." That's really harsh!

Seriously, that judge had some guts to tell Michael Freaking Jackson is failing... EPIC FAIL....

Me too...:ninja: ...Same with the Ebony 1987 interview, and the Ebony 2007 (08'?) interview....

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I know! Surely a judge of the law should be able to show some common courtesy! Where does he get off saying stuff like that to someone that's answering the damn question!?

That's your opinion, in fact during it's release period, Invincible received a lot of criticism from both fans and non-fans for lacking Michael's trademark ad-libs. Whether it's lacking on these recent tracks or not, I don't believe it should be used to discredit them, when the same can be said for the Invincible album.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

^^ Well, his VOCALS alone are trademark on Invincible....which can't be said about the Cascio songs...

Yes, I enjoy the Ebony 1987 interview. The way he casually sang WATW kills me...

Also, the way he explained why he started HTW Foundation. Lovely... Simply lovely...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

You're right Arklove, but I'm done discussing the vocals situation. I was just pointing out that the same was said about the Invincible album, in regards to "trademark ad-libs".

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

The whole thing with the Cascios isn't worth talking about. We all have our opinions and it's been talked and argued to death. This is a good time to relax and make up for all the time spent debating.

It took "Michael Jackson: The Experience" to see how much I love "Streetwalker"... Though I don't particularly agree with that track being on there.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

None of that sentence is true. During it's release MOST fans and non-fans remarked how Michael hadn't moved on in terms of musical direction and creativity. Down to the adlibs and the hee-hees and the owwwws.

Whether it's lacking on these recent tracks or not, I don't believe it should be used to discredit them, when the same can be said for the Invincible album.

It absolutely isn't lacking on the Invincible album. Classic Michael adlibs like 'Dog gone', 'Heee heee heeee', hand clapping, still exist. There's absolutely NOTHING of the sort on the Cascio songs. Other than the stuff that they've sampled in from other actual Michael Jackson songs in an effort to trick consumers into thinking that they're listening to Michael Jackson.
