Michael - The Great Album Debate

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

That thread makes me very hopeful for the future. Hopefully there will be girls at the college I'll be going to that'll like MJ, or I'll be stuck for about 2 years... Especially since I don't want to go through what I did when I believed "Alex/Susie"...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

Anyone that refers to MJ as a molester is dead to me. Some of my friends occasionally try to wind me up but they all know the truth - probably because I shove it down their throats.

Love is magical - I'm with you. I usually work people out by their opinion of Mike. Controversial figures and controversial subjects, and people's take on them, are usually a good barometer of their personality. 'Oh you're voting for Sarah Palin? Bye!'

Anyone who thinks Michael Jackson was a molester A. is a gullible, tabloid-reading fool, B. Undeserving of an opinion and C. Stupid.

Those that dig deeper... those are the people you want to get to know.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

I should say I'm currently educating a girl at my workplace on how the 'system' has tried to destroy various African American icons and how Michael is just one name in a long line of black luminaries that have been targeted for 'not knowing their place'. Last week I gave her Jack Johnson. This week Muhammad Ali. Next week Michael Jackson.

Sam, you and I share the same love - Michael Jackson, and same dislike - Sarah Palin. If Sarah Palin is elected the next president of USA, I gonna move to somewhere else.

You'd be amazed at how ignorant people are. Elvis was, FAMOUSLY, sleeping with Priscilla at 14. He got it on with Jackie Rowland when she was 14. And Frances Forbes. And Sandy Ferra. And Reeca Smith.

You see the papers refer to Elvis as a child molester?

Yet who does the cloud of suspicion hang over? The man acquitted of every single charge ever levelled against him. Why is that?

People need to wake up.*

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

What's sick is that people will refuse to change their minds....No matter what has been presented to them...THOSE are the people that I have absolutely no use for...Open your fucking mind....

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

@samhabib, Elvis really slept with Priscilla when she was 14!? I can't find anything about that anywhere! Plus all those other girls when they were underage!?

People don't want to admit this, but racism is still a huge social issue. Many people dislike President Obama not because of his politics, but because of the color of his skin. Many people find it uneasy to see the first family is black.

People know Elvis' behavior with young girls; but, they pretend there's nothing wrong. I heard excuses like it's the 60's. Girls married at a younger age. Total bs..

To many, the Beatles and Elvis are saints. Many people are threatened by Michael's unprecedented talents. In their hearts of hearts, they know Michael's accomplishments exceeded those of the Beatles and Elvis. But, they can't let Michael come above them.

Oh you won't find it anywhere. There's a deliberate effort to suppress that kind of information. I wonder why. Maybe Diane Dimond can do an Elvis special or something? No? Didn't think so, Diane.

Oh absolutely. When Michael bought The Beatles that was a MASSIVE political move. An African American? Owning the world's most prestigious publishing catalogue? Say it ain't so???

Look at Nike. Sportswear made by blacks. Advertised by blacks. Marketed to blacks. Bought by blacks. Now... how many blacks on the Nike board of directors?

Michael Jackson was a fucking deliberate and habitual line crosser. No black videos on MTV? Here's Billie Jean. And so on. And so on. Off the Wall only wins the black awards? Here's Thriller. And on. And on. And on. Elvis Presley's daughter? Married, thank you very much. And on. And on.

He was Jack Johnson. He was Muhammad Ali. He was the greatest.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

...!!!!!!!!!! Bumper, PLEASE let me be in your class!!!! I can't sing (or rap) that well but I can dance!!!

Lol, I teach EFL (English as a foreign language), but as you are an English speaker you might get bored in my classroom :)

They did so great! I loved that!

What else ya got, Bumper? :D

Thanks :) one of them was actually completely demotivated, and I discovered that his passion was rap. So I transformed my lessons into objectives such as being able to rap with given grammar and vocabulary. He was delighted. Other students too. They indeed accepted to be filmed. But it is true that many prefered not to be filmed.

I have another video of the class here. You can see a lesson called "job interview". The student replies that he wants to become a singer "like Michael Jackson". They hum "Billie Jean" for few seconds. It was hilarious, but unfortunately the sound quality wasn't very good. I also had to move around with camera in order to capture the entire class's attention. So sorry for poor quality.

Here it is:

Bumper, you are such a cool teacher. :punk:

Your students are so lucky. They seem to have so much fun...

Thank you. I try my best, but it's not always easy.

Thanks, Aniram! I'll keep on looking. I'm hoping I'll find that special someone in college. :)

Bumper, your class is amazing and I can tell that they respect and like you a lot to do that and be filmed as well! I wish my teachers liked MJ to the point where I could be really creative...

Indeed, the class liked me and I liked the class very much. But it was not always easy to motivate them. They are teenagers.

Today I exclusively work with adults.

How about Woody Allen getting married with his own (adoptive) daughter? It's even worse, but nobody seemed bothered by that.

Interesting to read the comments of that article you posted, Sam ....

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

He was Jack Johnson. He was Muhammad Ali. He was the greatest.

Or in Chris Tucker's words when addressing to Jackie Chan in Rush Hour "I am Michael Jackson, you are Tito" lol :D

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

@samhabib, that's really shocking! This whole thing is such a double standard! Why do people praise Elvis but shun MJ when Elvis made it clear that he was doing those kind of things!? MJ was proved not guilty of his charges through loads of things, like the only witness changing his story three times, but no! According to everyone at my school, he's still a ****!!! :(

@Arklove, your class would still be fun! Plus I could conveniently forget English! Then again, knowing English would be a massive advantage!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Bumper, LOVE that video...You seem like a great teacher, getting them so involved like that.....

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

^^ I agree, I wish my teachers were that involved with their teaching... Plus if they taught things using MJ, I would like school a lot more!

Contrary to Elvis, Michael became too dangerous (rich, powerful, a reference, a true king) in the eyes of some conservatives such as D.S.

The accusations started right after admitting that he was proud to be black. Some wanted to bring him down to his knees as he said it in his brilliant song 2BAD.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

It's absolutely sickening how these people can exist in the same world that a wonderful man like MJ could. People like D.S. are the epitomes of evil, jealous people.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Yeah, didn't D.S. pull out all the stops and attempt to introduce laws just to try and get Michael in prison? What kind of hurtful, jealous creature would do that to someone and why!?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Take a look at my link, Tom Sneddon should serve time in prison!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I bought it over the Christmas period (technically my mother did) but I haven't read it yet. Unfortunately I haven't had time to read that, nor other books like "Moonwalk" and J. Randy Taraborelli's (sp?) book, school has taken a lot of my time up lately.

EDIT: HE FALSIFIED EVIDENCE!!!!???? THAT EVIL, MANIPULATIVE, RACIST *******!!!!!!!!
