Michael - The Great Album Debate

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

Well I respect your belief, Sam. I've gotten to the point in this debate where I don't really care about changing peoples' minds, but just to see if I learn anything new. You're really dedicated in your cause, and I know this is off-topic, but I am very envious of you attending "Dangerous"! The closest thing I have to that is the "IMMORTAL World Tour", which I'll be going to in either October or April next year (dependent on when my friend would like me to visit him).

Same here... the closest thing I have is the Immortal Tour... sigh....

Stick around buddy. I've learned a lot from people here. I've gained knowledge on Michael, general music knowledge, linguistic, etc...

Contrary to what people think, these debate threads are not always about arguments. Sometimes, we have light-hearted discussions... Sometimes, we have enlightening information exchanges...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

Indeed, and it shows that Annie has COMPLETELY misquoted me and taken my words COMPLETELY out of context.

I posted this:

"It's all Michael Jackson! Believe that He is on the Michael album, all the way through Shoutout list Michael Jackson The Cascios Teddy Riley All the fans and haters MJJCommunity Max Jax and the rest of you! hey MJelboo, please shut up"

http://www.jasonmalachi.us/Michael.html

To which I was asked 'Are you going to believe that now?'

To which I responded:

"I don't need anyone to tell me it's Jason Malachi on those records."

So for Annie to claim that "Sam was then questioned on his own post disputing his claim" - that's completely incorrect. At no stage did I dispute any legitimate claim. I posted the hackers claim. And then posted my opinion.

A hacker posts a claim that Michael Jackson sings on the Cascio songs, a day or so after a hacker claims the songs are bogus. I didn't even comment on the claims.

My opinion has remained steadfast. And that is that the tracks are wholly bogus. REGARDLESS of what anyone else tells me. Why? Because I have complete conviction in my belief. If you, or anyone else doesn't, you should ask yourself why.

But you didn't post your opinion, until after you was asked the question. What you posted, disputed your claim of authenticity, when you was then confronted on it, you said exactly what I said you did. I didn't take anything out of context, I just repeated your own words.

Ok, but what makes thad's claim that his client had nothing to do with the tracks more believable than the JM facebook statement saying he sang on the cascio tracks?

For the record, i do believe JM's facebook was hacked, and i don't believe that was a real confession. but i'm just saying, his manager's statement isn't more or less believable than the JM facebook statement.

does that make sense . . . ? couldn't really articulate that as well as i wanted to.

What makes it more believable, is the fact that his manager said the page was hacked, then Jason himself reinforced the claim by posting on his myspace that his page was hacked. So it's obvious he didn't make those statements but a hacker did. Whereas that was really Jason's supposed manager who made the statement to TMZ, then responded to one of our own members, also reinforcing his own statement. How is that not more believable than a statement made by a hacker?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

Yeah, I've come to realize that in the past few days. Debating is a great way of learning new things. Granted, things can definitely get heated, as shown by my outburst last night.

I really can't wait to see the "IMMORTAL World Tour"!!! Though I haven't ordered tickets yet because me and my friend are still decided a what month to go on, as there are only two concerts that are happening when I'm on term break.

Your post made out that I contradicted myself. I didn't.

Quite simply, it's like me posting a ridiculous comment and then saying, in my next post, 'I don't agree with the above comment'.

If I post a bogus story about a bogus person it doesn't mean I agree with the story.

I purchased mine first day tickets were available for sales. I gonna see the show on April 3, 2012 at Madison Square Garden. :D

His manager claimed the Facebook page was 'phoney'. It wasn't. Malachi should get a better manager. One that can at least spell the word 'heinous', as it might come in useful when writing his resignation letter.

Well that's not what I meant. I apologize, if that's what you interpreted it as, it was to make a point. That no matter what's said, by who, minds are made up, and there's a minimal possibility that opinions will be changed.

But in his later statement he said he meant the page was hacked, and admitted his bad choice of words. You see it as a cover-up, I see it as a simple mistake.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

You're so lucky!!! That's only a few days before I'm off on term break!!! If I do go on April, I'd have to go from Toronto all the way to Pennsylvania, whereas if I go in October, I only have to go to Winnipeg. The thing is, I'll have less time to spend with my friend if I go on October. Decisions, decisions...

Don't be envious, just be thankful you were alive when Michael Jackson was, because in 100 years people will still be talking about him.

^^ Jesta, where are you from?

Accepted.

And, you're right. Nothing in the world will change my mind. I just hope that the truth, as I see it, will come out soon.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

@samhabib, that's true and I'll be able to tell my children and my grandchildren that I saw Michael Jackson announce his O2 concerts when I was younger. I guess those kind of moments are priceless, and I'm extremely thankful over how much he's positively affected my life over the years, even if it was the unmistakable soundtrack of "Sonic the Hedgehog 3", where you can hear his compositions and throwbacks to his songs even though he wasn't credited.

@Arklove, I'm from the UK, which means if I don't take a trip to Canada, I'd have to wait to see the "IMMORTAL World Tour" until at least September next year! :(

ahh...I see...I'm going to see the tour in Edmonton, November 1; 4 hour drive from where I live...:)

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

You're all so lucky! I really hope me and my friend can come to a decision soon so I can be confident that I'll go! Those storyboards released just give me chills, especially the "Smooth Criminal" segment!

ABSOLUTELY! I owe my life to him. Even down to my career. Just everything good that's happened in my life, I owe it to him.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

Me too! He always had a positive influence on me. I avoided drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, and all the things that could make you a vegetable!

When I saw him moving ferociously on tv and spreading such energy, I was touched by that energy. His energy travelled trhough radio waves and touched me. I still am full of energy, THAT energy.

p.s. THAT energy, which is completely absent on the Cascio tracks.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

I feel such an honour that I was alive to experience Michael Jackson. In any way, shape, or form.

I know it's cliche-ish... But, I have to say I'm a better person because of him. Because of him, I'm not alone anymore.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

Ok, guys, I'm getting all misty-eyed

^^ THIS! Lemme tell you something. From roughly 2006-2009, I was a very lonely person. I never connected with anyone, and I was constantly just cold, detached from everyone else. Then MJ came on the screen announcing "This Is It", and I got curious. Unfortunately, it was only until his too untimely passing that I really got into his music. Around that time, I was stupidly fixated with this girl who was absolutely toxic (let's call her "Alex" or "Susie") and, well... Needless to say, she loved to obliterate my soul, time and again. It was MJ's music, dance and film work that kept me going. He would instantly take my mind off of her and I would be engrossed. Now, whenever people, including "Alex/Susie" try to get to me, I just plug in my earphones and blast in the MJ tunes! Without that power... Well, I'd be a wildly different person, completely isolated from everyone else. MJ taught me to care, about others, about myself.

Ah man! Snap! People think I don't drink or smoke because of my religion... it's really because MJ didn't :) (well.. he didn't when he was younger :))

Career-wise, I became a multimedia designer. I used to draw him, day-in, day-out, as a kid. There's tonnes of my stuff online, but here's one from my FB page.

Man... I loved that guy! :) Love you Mike x

That's really, really good.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

That's really, really good.

Ahhh thanks :)

@Arklove - THANK YOU! :)

i was about 16 or 17 when I did that. Wish I had time to do a painting now as some sort of tribute. One day...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

@Jesta, it's true that Michael gives people strength. Michael radiates energy. Michael Jackson, his music, his films, his everything is therapeutic. Whenever I feel sad or stressful, I turn his music on and zone out. Like what he said, it's escapism... Everyone needs to escape from reality sometimes.

@sam, beautiful drawing. love the eyes in particular. i can tell you drew him with love...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

I really wish I could draw, unfortunately I'm far too impatient and I'd just ruin them. However, I'm tributing MJ the only way I know how, a tribute concert in the summer! It's been OK'd by my Head of Year and I'm gunning for 30 minutes - 1 hour, depending on how long the organizers can squeeze me in for.

I've detailed more of my ideas on here: http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=103427

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Cascio Controversy Thread)

By the way, has anyone of you bought this special cover edition of Dangerous album in 3-D (not digital 3-D, but physical)?
