Michael - The Great Album Debate

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I'm sure someone must possess audiofiles tagged: "MJ-WAY/part1/80s", "MJ-WAY/part2/90s" and "MJ-WAY/part3/00s"

I'm sure they do. They must also have "MJShower070707", "MJWhisper070807", "MJBreathing070907", etc....:tease:

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I think I figured it all out.

Frank Cascio got Jason Malachi to sing these songs like MJ, then MJ came to his house to see the family and heard what Jason had recorded and said with some enthusiam, 'I'd like to do the songs for real', so Michael gladly stepped into the shower and performed like it was his last shower performance ever. He kept saying, 'This is it! This is it!' and 'A little hotter! Water, water!'

So now they had both Jason's recordings AND Michael's, so they could conveniently splice between the two.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

*mod hat on * refrain from any name calling and hinting a group of fans to be better or worse fans, true or false fans etc. MJJC values community and many times we mentioned "respecting other people's opinions". the minute you group people into categories in a degrading way you are increasing the chance of these discussions being closed for good.

Hypothetically speaking, say there is no impersonator involved at all, the Cascio tracks are made of some 2007 MJ vocal snippets, some "legit" background vocalists and a lot of Michael's prior works. Can you accept the song as legitimate Michael Jackson songs?

It's what they do to deceased artists, it's common among posthumous releases.

Really? Enlighten me here please. It's common to go back to the deceased artist catalogue, find the words they need, find the breathing sound they need, find the ad libs they need. Then, paste all these fractions together and melodyne the tape and fabricate a new song?

Can you give me some example? Which posthumous release is similar in nature?

2Pac - Loyal To The Game (2005) .

I mentioned this before:

Notorious B.I.G

Born Again - unfinished songs and unreleased verses recorded for his released songs + new production + supporting vocals

Duets: The Final Chapter - in addition to the above, his previously released verses was used to create new songs with other artists as duets.

Plus Michael also used a previously released Notorious B.I.G verse in his song Unbreakable. ( A lot of artists came to give Biggie posthumous albums. A lot of people say that Michael reused / recycled that verse in his Invincible album to give Biggie another song credit / release as well as Unbreakable was a new take on Biggie's "Unbelievable" )

The buttons to the bathroom light and flushing the toilet to scare Michael while he's in the shower!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Yeah, and then he started singing !!! MONSSSTER, EDDIE IS MONSTERRR, IS AN ANIMALLL, PLEASEE... PUSH THE BUTTON !!!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Push the exit button for this endless nightmare.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Eddie may have just snuck in the bathroom while Michael was freestyling in the shower and poked his little mic in. Yeah, that sounds kind of wrong.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

^^ :hysterical:

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I wish they'd have just pushed the delete button and deleted everything they ever had.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I wish everyone a pleasant debating. I won't be around any longer as I realize that I got reported for apprently insulting people when calling them "Cascio defenders", and even got a warning "for insulting people" in private for that by a senior staff. It was nice talking to all of you. Thanks for your valuable info and moments that we spent together. Bye

See you tomorrow. :p Love you, Bumper.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Can someone please answer my question.

Did Michael record these songs with the Cascios or not? During the months he was with them. Did he record anything?

In my opinion NO, he didn't. Not those 12 songs they sold to Sony.

In my opinion he doesn't sing lead vocal on ANY of the cascio songs.

The only appearence Michael Jackson makes on any of the cascio songs is in the form of cut paste "hee, aaows, ah" and similar sounds, taken from PREVIOUS, AUTHENTIC Michael Jackson recordings. And by these recordings I mean recordings which have been made avaialble to the public or on the internet. be it, acapella's dvd 5.1. dolby acapella's, you name it.
No access to masters or multi-tracks.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Joe Vogel quote about "Michael" album.

Lauren: How do you compare Michael with MJ's previous releases? Do you think his collaborators and friends got it right?

Joe: Posthumous albums will never compare to the albums MJ completed while alive. I would personally like to see all of his unfinished work released exactly as he left it, then, I don't mind what happens from there in terms of new mixes, remixes, etc. I like hearing different takes. Transparency is the key, especially when dealing with someone of Michael's historical import.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Yes! Transparency and honesty is what's needed.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Good quote. I really hope this issue gets resolved if more people like him speak up. Thank you for finding and sharing that, ivy.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I'm not sure if he mentions a common opinion. If you look to his quote and previous articles he's okay with processing , mix and posthumous albums. He just wants raw demos to be released as well. and somehow I'm sure that they will be released some time in the future.

What he says might not resolve the vocals debate - especially if people also question the authenticity of the raw demos / vocals.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Sony and The Estate just need to be encouraged to share more. And the fans aren't asking that they share everything, just some real solid evidence.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Nobody will show us evidences in the future because there aren't evidences.

Has passed many months and they put all the cards over the table. They can't proof nothing because is Jason Malachi and Mj never sung on those tracks.

Sony would want to have proofs to show us, like they did with 'HT' or 'Best of joy', because they would want to sell more albums to the doubters, but they don't have handwritten notes or anything else that proves Mj sung on those songs.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

^ True. The evidence will never come because it doesn't exist.

Jason Malachi is all over those 12 tracks. Each and everyone of them. He does all the lead vocals on them. If or when people hear the others they will see, they sound even LESS like Michael than the ones released, and the goat vibrato is present in all of them.

Yay, opinions shown as truths! Like I don't get enough of that at school...

... I really need to distance myself from this place...

Why does every second sentence you write refer to school? I'm not here to read updates of how your day went at school. It has nothing to do with Michael Jackson and nothing to do with this thread.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

:no::no::no:

Hey, bullying has an effect on a person. Give the guy some support just for being a good person and a Michael Jackson fan concerned about this issue.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I have nothing against Jesta. I don't know him. I'm sorry if he's getting bullied but it doesn't change the fact that this is not the place to talk about it. He can email his friends or something. Keep it off a thread which is specifically about the Michael album/Cascio tracks and is on a public message board.

It shouldn't be ok for some people to go way off topic and not others.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Agreed. Theres a General discussion section within this forum where people can go to discuss anything. Even get support from others. Personal problems shouldn't be brought into here :flowers:
