Hypothetically speaking, say there is no impersonator involved at all, the Cascio tracks are made of some 2007 MJ vocal snippets, some "legit" background vocalists and a lot of Michael's prior works. Can you accept the song as legitimate Michael Jackson songs?
With advancement in tecnology these days, it seems melodyne can do a lot to improve and alter vocals, say someone writes a new song for Michael Jackson. Some producers go through the MJ archive and pick the words needed for the new song and paste all these words sung by Michael together, melodyne this tape of pasted parts, autotune it and process it. Do you think it's okay?
