Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)
It's very difficult to get over the conflicted feeling I have. When the album was released back in December, I was aware of the controversy. I still bought the album hoping the songs would "sound like Michael" on a CD format. I tried to convince myself the songs are genuine.
I cry happy tears when I listen to Best of Joy, the song is simply beautiful. However, my stomach sinks when the first verse of Breaking News starts to play. Playing the album without skipping any tracks is like taking a roller-coaster ride. I can always remove Breaking News from my playlist; yet, I cannot pretent the song doesn't exist.
I don't want to go over the same experience again. The saying "better have something than nothing" is not true for me anymore. I'd rather stick with Michael's own iconic catalog than waiting for all these invented MJ songs.
This album takes away the hope and excitement I used to have for a MJ project. I have no expectation for the second posthumous album. I don't want to be crushed again.
:clapping: Sadly, this is the reality...Michael was a perfectionist...He wouldn't accept this album and the way it's been handled..Why should I then? It's not easy to get past what's happened...I'll never, ever forget this..
