Done. The Music Technology Group in Barcelona proved it's not Michael Jackson.
Now... what was the company that did the analysis for Sony? Oh right... they never told us. In fact, they gave us ABSOLUTELY ZERO details regarding who, what and how the analysis was conducted.

Nowhere on that interview did they said they have done the analysis Sam, he said his FRIEND had the best voice recognition software, but didn't say they have/had done the analysis. Sorry to burst your bubble.

no you don't have to be able to contact them. I gave this example before many companies makes many claims without necessarily making the test results available - you don't contact people to check them. (remember the 4 out of 5 dentists claim of trident , details completely kept confidential)
you challenge them and request a proof or a separate test - in this instance it would need a lawsuit, a complaint. talk on a message board is cheap really.

there are legal rules that they need to follow and there's the option to sue them for deceptive statements if you believe they aren't following the rules and being truthful.

Why wouldn't a company, that claims that they care about the fans, make it absolutely crystal clear as to what analysis was done on these tracks?
I could understand if you're a chewing gum business and you make a statement to promote your goods to a mass market. But if you're dealing with a fanbase and you claim to care for that fanbase surely you'd go out of your way to prove that your product is legitimate?

It would seem I need to reiterate a few things.
I understand this thread will become heated and discussion will turn at times, my view is the title says it all and if you come in here get upset by what people are saying then its simple steer clear of it, this thread is not for the faint hearted and will always be a place of heated debate.
We simply must do what we do with respect.
And lastly DO NOT come in here and start your ish from another fan club namely (MAX JAX) this has nothing to do with us let alone the topic of this thread, continue to do so I will remove posting ability, I have enough problems of my own without the ish of other fans clubs spreading into here, if you feel the need to make me aware of members who I should keep an eye on then do it privately.

Before I log off, you can have this - a photo of Michael Jackson at Great Ormond Street hospital in London days before the London leg of his Bad tour, in 1988. I spoke to the nurse that took these photos and she said to me that he came, secretly, and spent hours at the hospital. The girl in the picture had a hole in her neck and was desperately ill. Michael spent about an hour with her, singing songs to her and playing with her. I was allowed to copy these with permission. (None of these photos were ever made public although the press were given a couple of photos from Michael's personal photographer.)
So when some fans say 'he wasn't Leonard Cohen', they're right. He wasn't.
