Michael - The Great Album Debate

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Some of you guys are really pathetic!
Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep it in mind along with the now-deleted attention-whore comment as well as the 'Why ask something if you don't want to hear about anyone else's opnion' from smooth_criminal05.

Move on people its Michael and thats that, you have no evidence to suggest otherwise
How about rather than sounding completely ignorant, you actually come back with a realistic argument.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I actually faked the pictures and distorted the reality.

Michael was never betrayed by his so called friends. They were kept away from him.
Michael hated to hang around with his family and his lawyer, they actually imposed their presence. Right;

Well he certainly didn't hate being around the Cascio's, so what exactly is your point?

Reality is, You're comparing people that Michael trusted, to people who ruined his life in many aspects, without anything to support the thought other than your own opinion.

Pictures clearly express my point. Michael had extremely close friends who he trusted, but in one way or another they betrayed him. So believing that friends cannot betray Michael is NOT ridiculous, it is a reality in MJ's world.

The bolded part in your quote was said with sarcasm.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

The article doesn't state that any testing was done - only that he was mad enough to send the songs to his friend at the Music Technology Group. That's all.

Re: Korgnex's post about Monster being about a porn star or something like that, he was probably referring to this ad-lib in Monster - "She wanna be a star!". But then, the song is about anyone wanting to become famous as the album booklet says and the problems they face including MJ. The paps are the monsters who chase the famous and the scream at the start is of alady terrified by them while trying to become famous. In Speed Demon, you'll notice those chasing MJ/Spike take on a demonic, cannabalistic-like appearance - Timmy does, for one. Same idea and they are then lumped in on one vehicle equating them with the hordes of paps chasing the star.

Porn star? :D
Nah, I said it's about a shooting girl.

It's 100% clear it's about a woman:

It's got you jumping like you should (like you should, girl)

i feel some people really love the new album, or the idea of new videos/projects more so than the memories Michael gave us in his life. there is very little room for any unfavorable opinion on the new project.

I agree with this...It's a little unsettling as well...Even if you believe the vocals are real, the controversy surrounding them hasn't been worth it. While looking at the big picture in all of this, a number one album, or a number one single should be far down on the list of priorities when it comes to Michael's legacy...

^ How many times has that been said in this thread and how many times has this thread been cleaned? Just curious, it seems like almost every day... Is this the most cleaned thread on the forum right now?

edit: No samhabib makes for a really dead thread it seems.

Thanks Ivy. Yeah, the family is well-off then.

As I've said before, those who have money only want and need more of it. Quoting another poster, 5 million dollars is still 5 million dollars. Moreover, this is Eddie's money not the family's

Dear Fellow Doubers: Congratulations on a job well done! Based on the recent press releases/videos/cd artwork/etc., it seems that Sony/the Estate have fully abandoned their strategy of highlighting "Michael's most recent work" (e.g. the Cascio songs) with this album and have opted to go with "classic mj" instead. Clearly, they have heard our voices and have decided to put the fake Cascio songs aside despite the commercial potential for Monster. This is really great news!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

This thread is dying... The doubters must have moved somewhere else for a little while.

Yup, I'm glad they didn't have the balls to release Monster even though the so many radio requests.

Anyway, I'm ready to let this thread die. We've gone around in circles for months now. It was an adventure? A great adventure? Not sure about that one, but I've learned so many new words! I feel like we have discussed almost everything there is to discuss in this huge thread. There have been ups and downs, but in the end, we're still all friends! Right?

Pfft...Not with you....haha...kidding...

Seriously, though, I agree...There really isn't much else to say...I have absolutely no doubts whatsoever, and yes, we're going around in circles.......But, this thread has some fantastic insights and information (from both sides)....I would hate to see it closed; maybe we could just go back to the off-topic stuff?...Well, off-topic, but still chatting about Michael and his music...That's always fun ;)

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Anybody else agrees with me that there's also something fishy about the new "All in Your Name" snippet that's been released? First of all, "MJ" (if it IS him) seems to sing the song in a falsetto, which is an easy way to disguise fake vocals. When's the last time MJ has sung a full song in a falsetto? "Don't Stop til You Get Enough"? Also, it's funny how the picture Barry Gibb put up is an old picture from the early eighties : if MJ really did record with him in 2002, wouldn't he have a newer picture? And finally, Barry Gibb hasn't been relevant in something like 20 years, and he's a has-been in the industry. So it wouldn't be surprising he's now using a "new MJ song" to make some easy money. Personally, I think Jason Malachi has now turned his little "hoax" thing from the Cascio sessions into a new career : Barry Gibb probably just called him up and said, can you do for me what you did for the Cascios?

Barry Gibb also deleted a note that said info on how to download would be forthcoming. I think the Estate is looking into this. I smell "fakeness".

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

That was more fun when samhabib was here! I'm sensing BUMPER doesn't bother anymore either.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

This is the only thread where doubters can express their doubts, so it shouldn't be closed. As soon as we'll have some further info we'll post it. It is not because we are not posting any more that the problem is solved.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Yeah now we can just enjoy the Cascio songs in peace and ask that Monster be the next single, forgetting this naughty thread ever existed. :p I kid.

This thread can be closed once we get to page 400.. We're almost there. Then it will be complete. Or will it?

Nice try but Michael always expressed how he would loved to record a song with Bee Gees. He was a fan.

Second, there is no slightest doubt that on that snippet it is Michael 100000% It is not a question of falsetto but of his voice timbre.

I wouldn't call it fakeness. Probably if Barry Gibbs had the vocals and planned to release the song on his own, Estate could have said to him that he would need their approval. So that could simply be the reason.

ps: Barry Gibb and MJ was very close. Wasn't MJ the god father of Barry's son?

and this song (probably) has been reported before

Billboard reported on 20 December 2002 that Barry wrote a song with Michael Jackson 'recently' in protest of the United States government's plan to invade Iraq (which took place in March 2003). Rumor is that Michael showed up one day with a partly written song and talked Barry into contributing to it. The date was probably in the summer. A fan said Barry has a demo recording of it.

“All In Your Name” from December 2002 which Barry wrote with Michael in protest of the US plans to invade Iraq.
"All in Your Name" Michael Jackson & Barry Gibb
The Bee Gee's Barry Gibb confirmed the existence of the anti-war song, which he had been collaborating with Jackson on in 2002 It had been intended for an album Jackson had been working on in 2003, but the album was never released A demo version by Gibb and Jackson is known to exist.

Actually, you have 0% of knowledge that that's actually the case. Most albums have 3 single releases or more, depending on how the label pushes the project and how much money can be gained off it. The US has only gotten two so far, HMH, and the upcoming BTM, there's still a high possibility that Monster can potentially be released as the third single. Especially if BTM doesn't do that well, which many people are predicting.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

No, I believe kreen was talking about the time period it was recorded. I think you misunderstood, Bumper. The quality DOES seem more like 80's-early 90's than 2002.

I did not misunderstand. Kreen clearly stated "MICHAEL --IF IT IS HIM--..." indicating that the fakeness Kreen is talking about might not be Michael.

Anyway, I think that Kreen is testing doubters thinking that the doubters doubt Michael's single unreleased song, which is not true. We know Michael's voice better than what Kreen is implying in his/her comment.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

True, kreens post seemed packed full of sarcasm and rather confusing... However, when I heard it I instantly thought of 80's Michael. What song did Michael record like that in 2002, you know?

I sadly have to agree. I think we'll never again get any new releases without that faker on the vocals. Now, that Sony & the Estate have successfully conspiered, they will use their new source, for providing music in the King of Pop's name. ;)

I only heard a 20 second snippet. I dunno. So far it makes me think of "Earth Song" demo when he tries to spare his voice while singing "what about us" part.

Oh, that's definitely a more mature Mike voice...You can hear it in the falsetto...His voice in this one reminds me a little of 'What More Can I Give'....recorded in 2003?? I don't remember...

Wasn't that 2001 for 9/11?
