Michael Jackson's Vision' DVD Boxed Set Available Everywhere Monday November 22

Since there only seems to be one version available, I guess it comes with all of them.

That's what I also believe, but it's kinda misleading... Press release says "limited edition with book". Official store only lists one version, with no mention of limited edition and book (though it's pictured in there).

Anyway, you have a point about the "produced by Michael" line. It's like those little words in the end of a contract that people always seem to miss.

to be fair:
AFAIK Whatzupwitu was mainly an Eddie Murphy song with Michael being a "guest". Maybe that's why it's not featured on this DVDs?

I still think What More Can I Give and We Are The World should be on it. Two charities songs.

I'm disappointed in BOTDF being the REMIX version. We're still not 100% sure 'cause no one has actually seen it (we don't have it yet). Could be a typo as well, I don't know.

like the packaging and the book looks good aswell. im not a fan of buying stuff i already have and i have pretty much all of these releases bar OMC. but i have them all on VHS from back in the day. either offical releases or recording the videos off MTV. it would be good to get them on DVD even though i cant watch his stuff right now. and also i guess you could say this is part of history so because of that and the great price ill buy it even if it is just gonna sit on my shelf for a good long while. but at least it will be there when i can watch it. also if it had been just another G.hits i wouldnt have bothered but its pretty much the full collection all in one place so its worth getting it for that reason.

They did a relatively good job with this, but why not include the COMPLETE Ghosts video?
as said by many others that will obviously be released seperatly on its own. its bad business sense to release loads of stuff in one go on the same DVD. what are they gonna release over the next 7 years. they have a contract for the next x amount of years so yes they are gonna milk what they can over that time frame.same with the live dvds why would that be on a release that is about his music videos. i know fans want everything now but thats not how it works.the what more can i give etc videos probably involve copyright issues etc so thats why they arent included.its not as simple as just putting what ever you want on it

Yeah Ghosts is obviously going to be released one day on its own. I would have loved for it too to be on here but if Ghosts came on DVD seperatly I'd be out to buy it right away so from a business sense its a good move.

As far as sizzle reels go, the trailer is INCREDIBLE - love the inclusion of the YRMW music to bring things up to date (ish).

But as a trailer it doesn't exactly sell the product - no mention of the limited edition packaging, the 3rd bonus disc or the previously unreleased gems (OMC!!!)...

The trailer is amazing but still think it needs something for casuals to buy it. We'll buy it as we're hardcore fans but nothing about it screams 'buy me' for a casual fan.

i think the videos itself sell the product. general public are just intrested in the actual videos its bigger fans that want something xtra and we know about the xtras from being on here!

so this Vision boxset will be Sony's 3rd release so far out of the total 10 releases correct?

3 releases so far

1. This is It Album
2. Vision Boxset
3. Video Game

Will the original, unedited, unremixed version of BOTDF ever get some love from Sony?
Still, looks like an interesting release (esp. APOM and TDCAU Prison on DVD), and at a reasonable price, too.

Same, I guess I'll buy it for Christmas and open it at the next or something.

Okay so is the OMC video the ACTUAL unfinished video, or is it just the one that we got when the song was released with all old footage?

"Here, for the first time, is the complete collection of all 35 of the short films produced by Michael during his career as a solo artist..."

But why? Since there really isn't many videos that was left out now, they just could've done a boxset with all videos.

ANYHOW let's just enjoy what we got since it is what it is.

Well, if "unreleased video" and "debut of the short film" rings a bell... I guess it's the unfinished (is it, really? let's wait and see) video!

Anyway, I couldn't resist Amazon's price and pre-ordered it. I just hope they won't screw me over saying this is not the edition with the book - I want it all, hey!

@ post above: yes, let's enjoy it, PLEASE. Many people around here claim they are "hardcore MJ fans", "real fans" or whatever it is to the point they put some people down if they enjoy other artists or are able to criticize certain things. Then we get unreleased material, deluxe packages, etc and they are the first to complain - while we, mere mortals compared to the so-called hardcore fans, are the first to actually enjoy and praise a new MJ release/new material... Go figure. Let's enjoy it for what it is. And what it is is a Michael friggin' Jackson release with all his produced videos UNCUT plus bonus and an unreleased video PLUS a book. I am surely happy, yay! Christmas with MJ!

Edit: and I forgot to mention the price! Oh boy, the price - it may be the cheapest I ever paid for such awesomeness.

Say say say better not be cropped and letterboxed this time.

i think every dvd comes with the book. its just the way its written in the release. they always throw the limited edition B.S in in order to get ppl to buy straight away

I call it a good deal :)

that depends on the artist. i've heard people call that price, gouging, with some other artists. . so obviously, Michael just holds a place in peoples' hearts.

don't worry..i'm not bothered by that price either.

Well I think it screams 'buy me' to casual and hardcore, Casuals get every single music video in Remastered quality in just one package, for a very reasonable price at that..Hardcores get 'One More Chance' a long with the booklet, and remastered music videos (and vids that weren't released on any official DVD before)

I think some people are under mining the fact that One More chance is "just another music video"... It's technically Michael's LAST music video he worked on..and one that has been every fan of his is anxious to see.

I'm mighty curious as to how the audio channels will be mixed. They might be mixed differently. A possible Thriller acapella? The TDCAU acapella might be different. We might have a full complete billie jean with back up vocals or a actual complete acapella for Black or White.

Exactly, this is what I've been saying for a long time now, everyone has seen Thriller or Black or White etc videos, but hardly anyone has seen Michael perform live in front of a crowd, I showed my son who is 8 years old Bille Jean performance from Dangerous concert and he was amazed and transfixed, I think to put Michael into the next era, generate new fans they have to see Michael perform live, that is where the magic is, not these video's we've seen time and time again. This box set is for the fans, a beautiful keep sake, to be treasured.

Probably because it's called 'Michael Jackson's Vision'. Not 'Several People's Visions: Featuring Michael Jackson'. :cheeky:
