Exactly. If they had won in 2005 a civil case coming after that would be more or less a slam dunk. Lots of $$$ in compensation.so like had the arvizos won the 2005 trial they still couldve gone for the money after mike got convicted?
I agree. I'm not American and don't know much about the US legal system but I am convinced this brings in a layer of, um, corruption that is unhelpful. For sure! That was the whole plan probably. It was also the career move for TS. Unfortunately in the US how successful the career of a public prosecutor is, is partially based on how many big cases he/she won. In my opinion that's a big problem with the US legal system. It drove TS way past moral boundaries.
I don't see age as being relevant. Many of Michael's fans who defended him from day dot are older than me. I don't think it's an age thing, I think it's more of a technology thing. In 1993 the internet / www was not available to the general public. Computers were really just glorified typewriters. Even by 1997 the web and email still felt incredibly new for most of us.Well said and I felt/feel the same. We were literally growing up and in that sense we learned too fast that the world isn't the place we hoped for and we were told. We matured quickly, but it also prepared us and gave us sense of realism.
1993 was a complete thunderbolt, as you said. 2005 less so, imo, not bc I thought he was guilty but purely bc of the Bashir programme. I've been more shocked by WR in 2013 and by LN, tbh. But Michael's army has been through the fire and they know how to deal with this. Social media, for all its hideous faults, is massively helpful so that's great. I don't think it'll be easy and I'm still anxious, even with TM on board. But it will be different from before, that's for damn sure.
