LaToya Jackson will be on 'The Celebrity Apprentice'

Star Jones Takes Aim At La Toya Jackson's 'Manipulative' Voice; Fires Back At Lisa Rinna's 'Celebrity Apprentice' Digs

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- When "Celebrity Apprentice" cast off Lisa Rinna guest co-hosted Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday, she dished on everything regarding her feud with fellow contestant Star Jones.

And on Thursday, Star took a turn as guest co-host and answered back - and then some!

"If I perceive someone coming after me, I will show you how it's done and I think I did effectively, because Lisa's gone," Star told Kit of Lisa's accusations. "...I came to compete for my charity. I never said anything different... I didn't come in there to win Miss Congeniality, and I probably wouldn't."

On Wednesday's show, Lisa said she received a call from teammate La Toya Jackson revealing that Star had held a "secret dinner" to plot Lisa's "Apprentice" demise prior to the show even shooting. However, Star told a different version of the story.

"You can't have secret dinners in the middle of the Trump International," Star told Kit. "It wasn't like it was up in my bedroom somewhere -- it was up in the middle of the restaurant! And I just invited everyone to dinner.
"I didn't like Lisa's approach the very first episode," she continued. "...And so when I saw that she was ready to throw me under the bus [in the boardroom], I got the bus pass ready."

Star also took aim at La Toya Jackson, saying she uses her famously soft voice to disarm people like a wolf in sheep's clothing.

"La Toya is one of the most manipulative little girls you will ever meet... that [voice] works for her brand -- that's who she is," Star told Kit. "She knows how to manipulate you while you're thinking that this is sweetness and light, and it worked.

"In fact, I admired her and the way she played the game," Star continued. "As you watch, you're going to see she's probably the most strategic on the show."

"It's always those quiet and sweet ones that are usually the sneaky ones!' Kit laughed.

"Honey, 'sneaky' is not the word!" Star said. "She wrote all those tell-all books and stuff. Please."

Hello Star Jones. Just because one isn't a loud mouthed, cunning, conniving, aggressive B****, doesn't mean they are intentionally being "sneaky" or manipulative. LaToya is just a naturally quiet, unaggressive person as many people are (myself included). But loud mouthed, cunning, conniving, aggressive people believe there's no other way to handle yourself. That being said, I don't think LaToya will win BUT she will leave with class and dignity...unlike Star Jones, Dionne, etc etc.

I agree lol... Then Stars defense was something that happened 20 years ago lol. I don't believe they had a dinner to get her out, but I believed it was planned because even Nene said so. I think Star and some of the others underestimate LaToya. Going in I didn't know whhat to think about LaToya but she has surprised me. I was also surprised that she stood up for herself last week in the boardroom. Its hard to even try to defend Star because she s soooo ugh!!! I like the way she plays the game though..... But damn don't NOBODY like her!!

As much as I agree totally that Starr Jones is a knive-ing, sneaky, aggressive mean person- thats her job. Shes a lawyer.

I say to Latoya, "You Go Girl!

I'm a quiet one and I HATE confrontation and I try my best to avoid it. Since childhood, I have been around more 'assertive', loud and aggressive people that tried to use that against me. But I have been known to bring out my inner 'West Baltimore' side and put the fear of God in them; not only did they back off; but they were stunned. Even my family will tell people don't be fooled by my quietness and my smile (lol)

I think it's conditioning. We live in a society that has a warped view of what strength and intelligence really is. Women, as well as men have been constantly told you have to be aggressive and tough--even if it means showing a little hostility---in order not to get stepped on nor to appear 'dumb'. That's ONE of the reasons why there are lots of women nowadays that are so difficult, confrontational and who like to use their tongue as a razor to cut a person down. They pride themselves on being a 'b**ch as if being called a DOG is supposed to be a compliment.

It's been my experience the very ones who like to pride themselves on being 'honest' and 'telling it like it is' are the same ones who will get hurt and offended if someone gets just as blunt with them. They can dish it out; but can't take it.....BUT they're perceived by our society as 'strong'...Go Figure.

Is it odd that I actually like Star? Yeah she's loud and abrasive, but she's a damn good talker. She'd be very hard to argue with because her points are just that.. to the point.

From watching the show, Star seems like someone who will tell you when she has a problem with you, and why and that's that. That's why I disliked Lisa so much.. she always made comments behind everyone's back.

I too think that people underestimate(d) La Toya, I dunno to the extend yet because we haven't seen the full show but the quiet ones are always the ones to watch out for.

I overall like Star too.

I like Star too sometimes. Then other times I can't stand her. But there are facets to everyone's personality. I watched her for all those years on "The View". She's entertaining. She's a Yankee fan. And from Brooklyn.;) But still a loud mouthed B****.:)

I have to agree with Star on this. She couldn't have written that tell-all book & throwing MJ under the bus when it was convenient for her to do so...and not be conniving and manipulative.

:clapping:

:lmao: Latoya ..little girl? She is in her fifties, she is no spring chick, for crying out loud. If nothing else, the life Latoya lived, taught her 1 or 2 things.

Oh it's just Star talk for Latoya being not the brightest among the bunch.

It's a condescending statement... Star is Janet's age, she knows damn well Latoya is close to 60...but giggles like a school kid.

I used to hate Star when she was on the View hawking her wedding... Aaaarrrgggghhhhhh... I hated her enough to stop watching the show.

Then the whole scandal happened..and she became somewhat of an underdog.

She is a lawyer..so she is very argumentative & knows her facts. She is very intelligent and I always admire educated, intelligent folks who express themselves clearly without fear.

So, I am actually hoping Star or Matlin win this thing..she is, along with Marlee Matlin, is the most educated & smartest one in the group.

I wouldn't mind if Star won.. and I like Marlee, but the thing is, I don't know if Marlee would make a good PM. We haven't seen her as PM yet, so I may just eat my words.. but she seems to always want things done her way. And I know she's deaf, which I don't think will be a handicap to her as PM, but she always wants to incorporate deafness into the challenge.. I mean, it's good for certain challenges but not for everything. Which is something I don't think she understands.. like the story-book challenge.. having a deaf kid in the story would've been a horrible story for 4-5 year olds imo. So I think if she does become PM, she'll want to add deafness into the challenge and ultimately that'll be what she goes home for. I dunno though, I'm just speculating.

^You read my mind about Marlee. I really like her but it annoys me a bit how she wants to squeeze deafness into every single challenge.

I like Star. But I don't really feel the women deserve to win (at least so far). I think the men have a better team overall and should be rewarded for their good teamplaying. But everything might change... I'm surprised by myself for enjoying this show as much as I do. Can't wait for tonight's episode.

I agree with the two post above. I remember when people were mad at Dionne cause she rejected Marlees idea. She was right about what she said, she just should have said it differently. Then when she don't get her way she gets mad.

I love the way Star plays the game but from what all the women say, they aren't against her cause how she plays the game..... They say she is just a mean person period. Nikki Taylor even said editing wasn't making her look bad, it just how she is and she felt sorry for her... She said the same with Dionne. Nikki Taylor said there is also alot they don't show.

She should be on "Stupid Relative of a Celebrity" Apprentice!!!!!

I disagree. Star said, that Latoya was the most strategic in the show, she called her manipulator, and cunning. If all this comes from Star, that is praisal. Definitively I don't think Star referred to Latoya as "not the brightest among the bunch", but as a person who uses the schoolgirl giggling as a mask, sweetness to deceive the true nature. I think, Latoya did something to Star. Something happened, something that Star didn't expect. I have seen Latoya's interviews, whenever she talks about Star. I see in her eyes, like she did something to her, and she is proud of it. I just wonder what...

Ooh I hope so, lol.

LOL I remember she talked about that wedding every single day, it was so annoying. Now Sherri Shepherd is doing almost the same. Also, on The View Star came off as very selfish and self-centered. Maybe she's changed a little but she was just awful back then.

I know I'm backtracking a little, but they just showed episode 3 in my country. La Toya was sooo good, she could sell ice to eskimo's :) She would be really great on those home shopping channels.

But I wonder what Jose did that whole challenge. Almost every single shot they showed of him he was sitting on his ass doing nothing. He was only energised when he was throwing a baseball around! I think he got off pretty easy in the boardroom, also it was pretty rude of him, the way he treated Ivanka when she came into the RV.

LOL well hopefully something happens tonight :giggle:

I didn't know much about Latoya before this show (except for some stuff that happened in the early 90's). Based on what I've seen on the show, I really like her.

I hope that Latoya does do something that takes Star down a notch, especially after what Star did to her last week. IMO, Latoya might be the best teammate they have, and it was totally unfair of Star, Nene, and Marlee to gang up on her in the boardroom. She does her assigned tasks and does them well. Despite what Star, Nene, and Marlee said, she does take initiative (for instance, the camper world task). And, she doesn't cause problems within the team - she doesn't argue with her teammates during the project, she doesn't cut other people down, and she doesn't try to make the project manager fail.

I think Star is one of the strongest players on the girls team, because she's so aggressive and likes to take charge. But her strategy so far doesn't make any sense. Focusing on eliminating Lisa was good. Lisa and Star just didn't get along, and Lisa would have just been trouble for Star if she stayed. But, what's the strategy in taking out Nikki, and now focusing on Latoya? Nikki wasn't a threat, and Latoya hasn't been one yet. Those are the people to have are your side. Nene and Marlee will be happy to throw Star under the bus when the opportunity comes up.

OMG that was so awesome, but yet very sad, and it made me cry a lot when LaToya handed over her MJ shirt to Marlee.....but I know its for charity

MJ's shirt sold for $99,000!

I saw that! Marlee seemed emotional when Latoya explained about the shirt. Latoya's hat for Michael won best hat and she gets money for her charity. I liked Donald saying "my friend Michael". This may sound bad but when they were talking about Michael I was watching the others reaction. Sometimes I think people are going to be mean to Michael. I thought Star rolled her eyes in the car but she always looks agitated.
