Please! We are fans, this is none of our business. The Jacksons are not evil, the children seem perfectly happy and healthy. This may be a misstep on Katherine's part, but I honestly doubt she is doing it out of greed or malice. It's not like she is torturing those children. Think about the consequences if the children should have to leave Hayvenhurst. They have nowhere else to go. Fans should not get involved in this. It's not our place and we could do more harm than good.

I'm sorry but some of y'all are crazy for trying to get DCFS involved. I know nothing is gonna come of the investigation... Also that would out the kids at risk. Let's just say that they are taken, after that they get put into the system. No one can magically come get them out of that system. If they cant go to a relative, they would probably be separated into different group homes for foster children until things are worked out. It will also be a big custody battle and things would just be a mess

I know right, making organizations to tell someone how to raise their grandchildren when they're lives aren't in danger is a bit much. Michael is no longer his kids guardian, Katherine the woman he credits from his kind nature and humaitarian efforts is. The kids will be fine, Michael raised them well and from everything we've heard Katherine is continuing to do a good job.

I want to say a couple of things here:

Do NOT post pictures of the children here. You know very well this is not allowed.

DO NOT criticize people for having a different opinion from you. There is always room to disagree. No one here is able to decide when there is no more time for opposing views. This is a forum, there is always time for opposing views.

For those who want to get the authorities involved, I hope you understand the implications of all of this. I hope you understand the children really have no place else to go. Before you legally have Katherine deemed unfit, I hope you are prepared to open up your own home and fight legal battles to get the children so you can take care of them personally. I want to warn you to not be short sighted and think long term what might actually be in the best interests of the children, not just what will soothe you or your egos.

You can plan and release statements as you choose here and rally the fans to action. But you will not do so at the expense of the feelings of fellow members; making statements as if they are less than because they do not agree.

I will go through and clean this thread.

I agree with the above.... Hopefully they will stop being so emotional and think rationally.

Also I talked to my sister who work for DCFS and she basically said they wouldn't do anything.

She told me that the matter about the contract and the charity is a court issue. The contract isn't illegal and the charity isn't a fraud. The charity is being sued because they cant use MJ name or image to promote it. Now whether the charity is using the funds how it's suppose to will decide whether it's a fraud or not. N I havent heard anything about them misusing funds as of yet. If they do then it's a fraud.

Man I've been saying this for the longest but no one is listening. They keep going on about how he produces porn(which has nothing to do with this situation), and whatever else that isn't relevant to this case. As long as he isn't using PP&B for porn in any way, then he is fine.

These children should have gone to Diana Ross. After watching her interview today, I wish MJ had chosen her FIRST.

MJ's kids wouldn't have been in this predicament...of fronting a fraudulent charity.

They are fake in the sense that they are trying to pass as MJ's charity. It is a FACT that a federal judge deemed they had link or affiliation with Michael Jackson or his estate.

So this document seems to give credibility to HTWF and thanks them to keep Michael's charity alive. Alright I'm ok with this, BUT how did Mann associated with the organisation now?

Live-Aid, in 1985, was just one example of this attempt.

Since the earliest years of his Children's Charity, and the first wave of allegations of child abuse in 1993, to the day he passed away in 2009, Michael endured numerous public attacks on his integrity, false allegations and extortion attempts, all sidelining his focus away from his humanitarian work, its goal and his foundation. HTWF was nearly destroyed and most thought it was.

It was throygh the selfless vigilance of a small group of volunteers, that Michael Jackson's foundation was preserved throughout the years and survives today.

The Heal the World charity is subject of an ongoing lawsuit filed by the executors of Michael's estate. They are claiming, among other things, copyright infringement and cyber-piracy. It will continue through the courts until there is a judgment.

The problem lies in people's being led to think that this is Michael's Heal the World charity, which it is not. It is actually independent of that. The statement issued by the Jackson family gives the impression that it IS Michael's charity. Whether or not it's well-run, i.e. the money actually goes for good works as intended, an audit of the charity could confirm. Or not confirm.

CBS News has learned that a charity claiming to be affiliated with Michael Jackson has no connection to his estate.

In the days after Michael Jackson&#8217;s death there were numerous news references to the ongoing charitable work of his &#8220;Heal the World Foundation&#8221;. However Jackson&#8217;s charity officially closed its doors in 2004. A new charity also named the &#8220;Heal the World Foundation&#8221; leaves the impression it is the same charity but CBS News has discovered it has no connection to the pop star&#8217;s current estate.

The foundation&#8217;s website has been a magnet for fans searching for a Michael Jackson &#8220;charity&#8221;. In recent weeks the foundation has begun asking for donations from visitors who want to post or read material on the site that is dominated by comments from fans around the world. Records provided by the charity indicate the website received $6,191.57 in donations during the month of July through PayPal.

The charity is run by Melissa Johnson who also runs a home health care business for the elderly called &#8220;Angels Embrace&#8221; run out of the same office in Palm Desert, California. A call to Johnson&#8217;s home was answered with, &#8220;Angels Embrace,&#8221; by a man who said his name was Chris Johnson.

According to state records the current "Heal the World Foundation" started in March 2008. Federal records show the organization received its IRS tax exempt status in January of 2009. In response to questions about the charitable work of the foundation, Johnson told CBS News, "our only actions have been to protect the property of the charity and console the fans and people who want to pay tribute in their own way."

Johnson obtained the trademark &#8220;Heal the World Foundation&#8221; according to the US Trademark Office in October 2008. But a month after Jackson&#8217;s death she filed for a new trademark, &#8220;Michael Jackson Heal the World Foundation&#8221;. In her application she notes that she wants to provide, &#8220;Charitable services, namely, providing a website that enables children of a school district to communicate with a charity of their choice; Computer services, namely, creating an on-line community for registered users to participate in discussions, get feedback from their peers, form virtual communities, and engage in social networking; Hosting of digital content on the Internet.&#8221;

Melissa Johnson also filed three applications to trademark &#8220;MJ&#8221; in July of 2008 to be used for &#8220;athletic apparel,&#8221; &#8220;audio and video recordings&#8221;, &#8220;digital media&#8221;, &#8220;downloadable music&#8221;, &#8220;video games&#8221;, &#8220;toys&#8230; talking toys&#8230; and toy and novelty face masks&#8221; according to the US Patent and Trademark office.

But representatives of the Jackson estate say the foundation is not linked, "The Michael Jackson estate has no connection whatsoever to the "Heal the World Foundation&#8221; run by Melissa Johnson," said Terry Fahn, a spokesperson for John Branca, the special administrator of the Jackson estate.

Branca has been embroiled in a back and forth debate for the last few weeks with the Jackson family over the estate.

A spokesperson for Katherine Jackson&#8217;s attorney L. Londell McMillan could not confirm or deny a connection to Melissa Johnson. Johnson told CBS she has not been in touch with the Jackson family since his death.

The foundation plays up its connection to Michael Jackson. The charity&#8217;s Twitter account with 587 followers says, &#8220;Heal The World Foundation was started by Pop Star Michael Jackson in 1992. Anyone interested in comitting(sic) themselves to Healing the World is most welcome here&#8221;. The site notes that following Jackson&#8217;s London tour he was planning to, &#8220;live a long and full life, devoted to [Heal the World Foundation] and serving his God and his fellow man, with his fans leading the way&#8221;.

&#8220;The Jackson management that reports to you now is NOT his management staff of many years,&#8221; said Johnson of the current "Heal the World Foundation" in an email to CBS, &#8220;They recently replaced a crew of managers and those people had been working with us for years.&#8221;

Johnson told CBS News that she worked with the firm of Raymone Bain, Jackson&#8217;s former spokesperson, and particularly with Bain's former partner Van Alexander. But a representative for Bain told CBS News that Bain &#8220;never worked with Melissa Johnson or with the Heal the World Foundation.&#8221; Alexander, who no longer works with Bain, did not respond to messages left requesting comment.

The Heal the World Foundation website boasts an exhaustive list of projects related to Michael Jackson: the Michael Jackson Annual Telethon, Michael&#8217;s Army (of volunteers), the MJ Film Company, a newspaper and publishing company, Kid Care Centers, a Michael Jackson movie, &#8220;animal projects&#8221; and &#8220;Learning Centers&#8221;.

What I am upset about is that Katherine at 80 years of age is doing everything in her powerf to raise more money for her family. She is even willing to use MJ's kids to do it. What I don't understand is why didn't she use this force to save her son? Janet claims the entire family knew MJ had some sort of a problem so if Katherine can use this much strength and power to get on tv to sell her book and whatever else she is selling why couldn't she get her son some help for his alleged 'problem' that they claimed he had?

Katherine could've gotten on tv via Oprah or Robin Roberts to say she believed her son needed help so she was going public to try and save him hoping that he would listen and hoping that whatever doctor or doctors that were treating him would do the right thing. I don't understand how she is willing to do this but couldn't help her desperate son with his insomnia issues.

That wealth eventually goes to the CHILDREN. Money generated by Michael Jackson the BRAND, by Howard Mann, does NOT go to the children. In filing the lawsuit against Mann, the estate is protecting the children's interests. What is shocking is that the children are being used for promotion, for something that is counter to their own interests. Everyone get that? Hopefully?

This is all so confusing.

If the Jacksons and their associates are willing to thread these dangerous waters I hope they're ready for consequences if/when the courts issue their judgements on their numerous ventures. Only time will tell...

In the meantime I'm willing to extend them the benefit of the doubt a little while longer, for Michael would want us to be as tolerant as we can be for the human race. Still won't buy their products though.

I belive Gaz or anyone of you guys said waay back that any pictures of the kids that are somehow from the estate/guardian are Ok to post.. l just assumed those pictures was Ok since Katherine is behind this, ie aware of the kids pics being put up on the website.

I think that your post is a good summary of what's going on here.

Now we know that the children are now involved with TWO organizations (Mann's company and HTWF) that are being sued by Michael's estate.

The Jackson's need to grow up. Michael didn't leave them any money because he didn't want to . The estate isn't the enemy here. They're just doing what Michael hired them to do.

I don't know what Michael could have done differently to prevent this, other than finding a different guardian for his kids, maybe. Even if someone like Debbie had custody of the kids, I'm sure that the Jackson's would be fighting with the estate. It seems like they've always seen Michael's money as theirs to take.

Everything must be very confusing for the kids. I wonder what they think of the estate administrators?

The thing I have realized almost 2 years now is that Michael's family hates that someone else is running Michael's business and money. They feel that is should be them because he was their family. He made a will and they need to respect what he wanted done. Michael's success wasn't their success. It was his. He worked long and hard for it. He always thanked his family and they all had success together when they first started but then it changed after that. It's not Michael's job to take care of everyone. Even now it's expected of him and that's not fair. At some point Michael shouldn't have to owe his family anything anymore. He did more than enough and they should be grateful for all he did. The best thing they could do to show that gratitude is to respect his wishes now.

They keep butting heads and go against the estate.It causes conflict even with the fans. Who do you support? The children are being used. This Howard Mann doesn't care about them and Michael wouldn't want his kids in an agreement with him. Michael was smart leaving everything to mainly his children and charities. Katherine is supported but that only lasts as long as she is living. It all goes back to the kids. When they are older hopefully they will carry what their father taught them and appreciate what he did for them. Michael loved his family but it has become painfully obvious that he wanted them separate from his business and for good reason.

Good post, I agree. Like I said before, I don't think Katherine or the rest of the family consider the Estate to be on their side. They see it as a bunch of businessmen making profits that the family should be "entitled" to. I am sure that the family see the Estate as being greedy, rather than the other way around. They may even still believe the will was forged, although they don't have any evidence to prove it. Katherine is easily swayed and manipulated, as we have witnessed before, and I personally believe that some of those shady people around her (like Mann) have convinced her that she is doing the right thing and that she's preserving Michael's legacy, as opposed to the Estate. I honestly can't imagine Katherine being motivated to do this by greed. The woman is 80 years old and receives more than enough money to maintain a comfortable lifestyle. However, some people she is involved with appear to be primarily driven by money and exposure... and sadly, this includes some of her own family members :mello:
