Well, the objective of writing the book was to make money. So far it has helped him settle overdue child support, and Jermaine ain't gonna give anything for free ;)

The Jacksons have spent all goodwill both reasonable fans & the general public had after MJ's death.

And now, reading message board like Yahoo & can.com, I am worried he contempt the general public feel for the Jacksons is rapidly boiling over to MJ.

I read the OMG Yahoo board recently and the contempt & disdain people feel for the Jacksons is a lot worst than anything I've written or read here. But the one thing that bugged me, is the fact some mentioned & insulted MJ, when this whole drama is out of his control.

Is the public incapable of dissociating these Jacksons & Michael? For some reason, Janet is able to stay under the radar, but MJ's name is more and more getting slammed in these negative Jacksons' stories.

Can someone pay an extended trip on an island somewhere, with a dozen psychologists for the family? they need to be rescued from themselves.

I think he's getting slammed because the Jacksons go out of their way to speak negatively of him (drug addict, father who kept his kids locked away and now they're free, plastic surgery) or to be involved with people (Stacy Brown, Dieter, Oxman, Gene Simmons) who speak negatively of him.

It's hard to explain to people that the rot in the Jackson family has nothing to do with MJ and that he actively made sure he stayed away from them for the most part in the last 25 years.

I wish the fans could stage an intervention on the Jackson family and force them into commitment to an intense psychiatric facility.

Therapy won't help because their actions are based on having money without doing heavy work, so all their psychological and personality issues might be resolved by therapy, but they need something to work on their greed. Once you believe you can get quick money without using your own talent and gifts, you are going to end up using others, like them.

You haven't read the book and therefore you have no idea whether or not there will be lies written in it.

And are you saying authors should no longer release books, they should tweet the stories piece by piece on Twitter?

Honestly, and trying to remain very objective, since the only story I've heard about from this book is a lie (compared to the version in Moonwalk which I would tend to believe), I would find it hard to trust the rest of the book. How can you sort out what is real and what is not?

All this just for the sake of discussion, since I have intention to buy or read any of those books, even for free, simply because I have no interest whatsoever in what Jermaine or Latoya have to say about their lives , or even less about Michael.

I think "lie" is the wrong word to use. This happened over 20 years ago, and time does funny things to memory. It would be plain silly to make up something like this. Both stories are basically the same, with some differences. Michael's version could be just as wrong as Jermaine's. It just happened to be printed first.

Michael's version of the story can actually be corroborated by media articles that came out regarding the incident in 1979, the year it happened. On the contrary, there is nothing to support Jermaine's version. He was lying, plain and simple.

^ Well for starters how about her fuelling conspiracy theories, by saying Michael was intentionally murdered when she has no proof whatsoever? Then going on national TV and accusing Branca outright?

But this is not the place to debate the inaccuracies in her book, which have been discussed to death in the thread dedicated to her book. Maybe you should read that when you have the time to get a better understanding of how she was misleading through her lies.

As for Jermaine's book - I have more hope for it than Toya's book. He knows about Charles Thomson, he insists Mike wasn't a drug addict at the time of his death, I'm hoping he might actually come through for us in some ways. Because of those reasons I am buying his book because I think there will be some good things in there, I just hope it's enough to cancel out the other things I expect to read there too.
