It's really going to hurt when P,P&B find out the things that some family members have said about their father. I will never understand why some family members don't think about the impact that their words can have on 3 orphaned children.

Some people need to stop throwing stones and hiding their hands!! Trying to antagonize certain members and then hiding behind the higher-ups like they or it didn't do anything. Is this Elementary!?
 
We need to move on. Right now there are those who think having the tribute at this time is OK, because Katherine loves her son, she needs a break from the court drama, it is only for one day, none of us would be putting our lives on hold during that time. No one is going to change their point of view.

Other fans here see this event as ill timed, lacking involvement of great current artists, not planned with Michael the person in mind but for profit. To them, there is organization of a tribute during a trial in which this is the social context, which includes public opinion: some people feel Michael was an oddball (see the case thread), some say he killed himself, Dr. Drew and other TV commentators show support for murray, commentators on TV say Michael's death was due to his addiction, commentators pushing the idea of a trial based on addiction and not on Murder due to bad medical practice and substandard care, TV commentators are rehashing the allegations, immediate family plans a concert in another country. They feel planning a concert help cement the views of the public that his death and trial are not terrible and serious events because the immediate family can break to attend a huge trivial activity. They do not think that is appropriate. No one is going to change their point of view.

Now has Jermaine and Randy said anything lately about the tribute.

I noticed it when I first joined, and it's the same poster, time and time again...so juvenile...The person is doing it bc they act like they can't stand if you say something they disagree with about the Jackson's...then they hide behind and "Thank" the owner or mods when they were the one antagonizing the crap.

I'll take an infraction for saying this, because it's true, and I'm tired of it. You've gotten away with this for too long, and need to be called on it, the same way MJStorm was called out, which shouldn't have been...

I was wondering, bc if this poll is indicative of what most in the fan community feel, from what I've seen outside this board, this tribute is going to look like a "Last Train to Paris" non-refundable ticket.

I've honestly been ignoring that person, as I saw their tactic a mile away, I just take exception when one is allowed to run wild through the forum and others are called out publicly. What's good for the goose, should be good for the gander...

I was actually on the registration website and was looking to the terms and conditions for info about refunds. this is the gems that I have found.


The Concert is the Jackson Family's official tribute concert for Michael.

Michael's mother Mrs Katherine Jackson has agreed to attend the Concert with as many of Michael's children as are available. The guest artistes who have contracted with the Promoter to appear at the Concert are listed on the Website.

The Promoter does not guarantee the final line-up and cannot be responsible for the non-appearance at the Concert of any contracted artiste. If 50% or more of the number of contracted artistes attend and perform the Concert will take place and no refunds will be offered.

NOT!! I think you and some other posters called it a while back...and we still have bleeding hearts for Mrs. Jackson...sounds like pimping the kids to ME! They're treating these kid's like RANSOMS-"WE HAVE THE KIDS, WE KNOW YALL WANT TO SEE THEM, BUT YOU MUST FORK OVER YOUR MONEY FIRST"!

There's no way in HELL, I would agree to some refund terms such as those...if this doesn't scream of a SCAM, I don't know what does...So, let me get this straight, the ARTISTS have been SIGNED, but can back out at the last minute, and GLOBAL LIVE can too, and you're shit up a creek with NO paddle, out of money, hotel booked, job days off, etc.? You can't make this stuff up!

You know the part about Michael's children makes my blood boil. YET some claim Katherine is NOT pimping Michael's children out. Yeah right. She's willing to deliver them everywhere as long as she gets the right amount of money. What a freaking disgrace! I can't believe this woman doing the things she is doing! Is this a sick joke?! Someone tell me this is a sick joke! Someone go and tell Michael hasn't stopped spinning in his tomb for 26 months, that this is a sick joke. I'm trying to calm myself cuz I know I'd be banned straight away if I'd call Katheirne what she truly is, still is, even at this high age. All I'll say is Katherine should be ashamed of her old ass. REALLY ASHAMED.

if the concert is cancelled for good , they are giving refunds on ticket prices - obviously travel and hotel costs aren't their responsibility.

the part that I posted is about the concert happening part. they don't guarantee the full artists and don't offer refunds if some just cancel. For example if you are buying the tickets because Christina is gonna perform but she doesn't you can't complain or get a refund.

so basically they are only guaranteeing that 50% of the artists they announced to attend.


a thought poped up in my head : I wonder if the Jackson's can equal to 50% of the artists..

I wonder if "as are available" means "if they want to attend" To Michael his mother was "perfection" Seems to me his perfection is using his kids to help support her family. People who have met the children say they are extremelly mature and intelligent. Do the children realize what the Jacksons are doing to them? It's so sad.

Of course they're not responsible for your hotel, etc. I was just saying, I personally wouldn't agree to those terms. They could cancel the concert the day it's supposed to happen, or the day before. So, if all cancel but the Jackson's, I'm still NOT entitled to my money back...And, just how long will it take these poor souls to have their money returned, if at all? I've seen this before, where the ticket sellers, and promoters purposely wait for months to issue refunds, hoping the people who paid will be to have forgotten about that money...it just reeks. Also, the Jackson's ARE the 50%, it's what, maybe 11 of them performing, and maybe 6-7 Artists?

These kids are being treated exactly the way their dad was treated - like a circus attraction. Everything Michael stood against for when it came to his children, Katherine is doing. Katherine, Katherine, Katherine... what are you doing? Remember your son Michael, the one who sacrificed his childhood, adoloscence, adulthood and even his late adult years to be an entertainer. He wanted his kids to have a childhood and ...

You know what? What's the point of me rambling here again and again of all the shi***y things that have been going on since Michael died. Debbie Rowe (if she really cared for those kids more then for the money) would have stepped in by now to have full custody of the kids (even adopt Blanket) and it would have easily been granted because she never gave up her parental rights. Diana Ross is another one who was named guardian, although she isn't blood related to the kids, I'm sure if she fought to raise Michael's kids she would have won. These kids are truly doomed. And I think they know it especially Paris who occationally use to post some pretty heavy stuff in her formspring and early twitter comments. I really feel for those kids. I hope they are not too scarred for life.

I wish these kids took the steps to be emancipated (Paris and Prince). There is enough proof of the damage going on in that Calabasas home. It may not be physical abuse like their dad endured but it sure is abuse. Selling your son's kids to the press, media and fans for money is another form of prostitution Katherine. Shame on you.

Is it just me or does this statement make the Michael's kids look like golden credit cards. Really, why would you need to tell people thinking about buy tickets to a concerts that Michael's kids may or may not be there. What the hell does that have to do with anything?

I physically cringe when I read this. Also, the refund policy just plan sucks.
 
I wish the press would do their damned job & expose this. Many children rights activists would be repulsed by the idea of using minor kids to sell tickets.

And of course, her grown ass children & grandchildren are just happy to finally get a gig..they are go along with this crap.
