You guys are FUNNY!!! I thought after grandma heard the list of stars she knew Michael would be proud. What list did they give her I wonder.

I don't think so. That's how I think it works. The Jacksons just have bad taste in who they work with.

I don't think it is so much bad taste, but the fact that their name has next to no pull in the industry. To be frank, the real promoters won't touch the Jacksons unless maybe Janet is somehow involve and I doubt she would let her name get dragged into the dirt like they are during to Michael.

On the bright side, this failing is more on the Jacksons then on MIchael's head. Heck, even the press shows sympathy for Michael after witnessing how his own family treats him. At worst, even people who hates Michael see why he came out the way he did.

Ladies and gents, this is what they call international stars...

I like Craig David but I wouldn't define him as an international star and I wouldn't pay for a ticket to see him-he hasn't had any songs out for ageees. I hope they do book some proper international stars

Didn't Craig David make fun of Michael during the trial? Or around the time Vince was released?

wrong thread

P.S. It's interesting that the artists (or one of them, or maybe the only one ;) ) are announcing themselves via twitter now. Will they get paid, btw.? Or do they have to donate to charity as well, while the money for the tickets goes to the Jacksons and Gloval Live?

So what we got now...:

- A first press conference where they announce where and when the show is gonna be, but no artists announcement.

- Fans being really angry about this stupid discriminatory ticketing stuff where only the richest ones have a chance to get a ticket, still they'll only know couple of days before the show if they got one.. meaning they can't plan their trip (plane/hotel) in advance (haven't they learned anything from their Victory Tour fail?, except this time MJ's not there to stop the stupidness)

- After the 1st press conference: The Estate released a statement saying they are not in any way related to this tribute and have never gave their ok for it.

- Jermaine and Randy Jackson tweeted after the 1st press conference that both of them were not ok with the tribute because it was during the Murray trial and they don't hink the timing is good. When Jermaine was asked about the fact that his book about Michael is also released a bit before the trial, he said that he'd stop the promotion when the trial starts.

- Fans making searches about this Global Live company nobody heard of, to find out it has been created in March 2011 and has had 2-3 names before, always related to a MJ tribute, which always failed, not to mention Jermaine said they started to talk with the family around April telling them they did already have that GALAXY OF INTERNATIONAL STARS....lol

- Global Live... their adress, when you search in google actually show they'd be located in a little building in Bristol, where there is actually a bar.... how classy.

- The promoter of the show, Gloval Live, who is paid to do PR and informations, when asked about the ticketing system and other stuff, says, we are not entitled to answer that... Hum... what'r you paid for then?

- Global Live giving a 100 000$ check for a 'trust fund' for MJ's kids to Katherine during the press conference, when they are already gonna inherit MJ's billions (while there's a famine in Somalia...), how lame to use the kids again this way... disgusting.

- They announce a second press conference for last Wednesday where they are suppose to say who the artists performing will be... yet none of the Jackson seems to be going to London for this conference.. Latoya tweets goodnight at 5am from her home, and Jackie tweets a pic of him in his pool... not looking like they plan to go anywhere... Of course the press conference never happened and was 'postponed'.

- After the 2nd press conference fail, they still say they'll announce the artists the day after. They didn't, saying they have to wait until the NEW HEADLINE ACT is signed.

- After realizing that the fans are totally against this tribute, they release a statement trying to reach another part of MJ Fans, the believers... saying ''this is a show Michael would love to perform in'' and a show ''you would imagine Michael attending'' ... How low can they go..; worst thing is: it works, the naive and clues needing believers blindly jump on that boat and are now convinced Michael's gonna come back during that show.... jesus christmas...

- Global Live and The Jacksons says that all profits will go to charities, yet Jermaine says on twitter that he was offered good money to participate, but he refused, saying it's not about money but about bad timing (Murray's trial).

- The event's facebook page being administered by someone who deletes fans's posts when they ask questions or make comments that they don't like, yet the admin says ''I'm not deleting anything''... yeah right, the fans's print screens says they clearly do. Couple of hours after, no more posts from the admin, seems the page isn't administered anymore, or they just don't bother answering.

- A new Facebook groupe called Fans Against Michael Forever Tribute is on. People who got banned from the event's Facebook pages joins, and the group gets bigger. (Hell I joined!)

- The event's website's countdown suddendly stopping and changing to a ''wait for further notice'' without any other explanation, still the Jacksons aren't tweeting about the show, like if it never existed...

- We then, today get a message from the event's facebook page saying they stopped the cuntdown because they want fans to know who they are gonna pay for. In the same statement, they also say that many GREAT ARTISTS already signed... yet they'll CONTINUE to announce the artists from now to October (continue? they never started...) o_O ... Just means they have no one and thought the artists would run to them after the 1st press conference, they just don't get that it works the other way around, you get your acts, then you announce a show.

- Still no news from any of the Jacksons about the show, total silence (add cricket sounds)..

Have I missed something?

Craig David says ''buy tickets''... we can't lol, we have to register to the ''who's the richest lottery''... so is he even aware of the ticketing process??

oh dear, was he even allowed to announce he was performing without the Jacksons&GlobalLive announcing it first? I really am questioning why they have chosen the Prince's Trust as one of the charities, when from what I've seen and read, Prince Charles wasn't a massive fan of Michael and neither was Michael of him. That makes me question whether Prince Charles even knows about this?

^^I guess you can give to any charity whether the person likes you are not. The administrators will take your donation and use it for their needs.

I think you summed that up nicely, BTW did you mean to leave the 'o' out of countdown? LOL oops

lol, wasn't intented lol typooooo

Oh well, it kinda seemed appropriate anyway. LOL

@Petrarose, Craig David is well known in the UK, I don't know about anywhere else, he is talented (IMO) but hasn't done anything for ages as far as I'm aware.

I'm not sure he has any idea what he got himself into, because he's encouraging people to buy tickets... which they can't do.

If I remember correctly, Craig David has never said anything negative about Michael but how is he an international star? He is only known in the UK and hasn't had a #1 single or album here since 2000.

Hmmm, and clearly he hasn't got much on at the moment and can work at short notice..... months in the planning my a***! Months in the negotiating how much the Jacksons will receive more like!

^ Me too. He is a good singer but far from an international star.
