I worry for the future of MJ's legacy. These disastrous ventures & the bad press that always follow can't be good for MJ's standing.

Yeah the fans know that family & their long-storied questionable deals...but not the public. All they hear or read is what the press writes about: No act, family in-fighting....

I wish the estate would take steps to really make the public understands Michael Jackson is to be kept separate from the Jacksons' bunch.

Tell the world Beyonce, Justin, Chris Brown, Will.I.am and all will be there even if it's a lie, open the ticket buying right away, get the money, then get sued by the artists cause this isn't true, wait til they get the interests of the money before refunding the fans and paying the artists lawers...

I'm sure they are thinking really hard on how to make the best money out of it...

3. Sell all the tickets, then provide a lame excuse to cancel the concert in the last minute and provide another lame excuse not to refund tickets!!!

So they DID announce the concert without having anybody, hoping the press conference would have ALL the artists be like ''Hey I wanna be a part of that too, is there places left?''

So they postponed the announcement because they wanted us to know who will perform, BUT performers will be added between now and october? Yeah, that just makes a lot of sense.

Yeah so people will be able to register on October 5th and will know on October 7th if they get their ticket...lol

Do they really expect 75 000 to book hotel rooms, plane tickets, save money to eat, ask their bosses... in couple of days?
 
all this is of course hilarious. but i am just sad that all this hilarity is at the expense of Michael's name....

Maybe more, however, Michael's mother o v e r-erestimated herself!
This selfoverestimation appears the announcement of a concert of this scale without any respectable base.

I don't know what she has thought----maybe she thought that not she must ask with artists, but the artists ask with her whether they may appear.
Maybe she thought that the name "Jackson" just the magnet is for these artists. It isn't; it was only the name "Michael Jackson", and Michael is gone.
(btw: it is the same when they called "our fans" about "Michael Jackson fans)

I am ashamed something because I feel no compassion with Michael's mother.
But I have really looked and have found nothing at which place Katherine has spoken for Michael's welfare and respect or has acted. And, I think so, also big stars sometimes read newspaper, listen radio and watch TV.

Maybe Michael really sits on a cloud and has a look what runs here below thus everything. And now he puts his magic forces to promote what he likes and to negate what he does not like.... Who knows.

I am wondering how involved the Jacksons are with the planning of this event.

It seems as though GL is in the driver's seat and the Jacksons just get paid at the end of the day. Am I wrong in that assumption?

I don't think so. That's how I think it works. The Jacksons just have bad taste in who they work with.

Yeah I agree they seem lost. Hopefully they are re-thinking their involvement in this whole fiasco.

Absolutely right. Jerm's tweets and the press conference made that clear. The Jacksons are just paid to be there and to let their names be used. The day of the 2d press conference, Jackie tweeted a picture of himself in a swimming pool, definitely not on his way to London. I really wonder what they're thinking now...
 
But the Jackson$ already received an advance from GL of 100.000$ no ?
 
I just read this somewhere else ... apparently Global Live Events is located in Bristol. And at the exact same address in Bristol there is also a Bar called "Humbug". I did a Google search, seems to be true.

Doesn't life write the best stories? :doh:
