Tonight's ceremony was beautiful I thought..tomorrow's will have a completely different feel to it, less about class and respect, more about celebrity.

My heart is heavy and NOt because of PPB or Katherine.. but because I'm an admirer of Michael and it's been Hard .... Oh well How many grammys does Michael have now... 14 plus?

Been duped once again...

It was on Cnn that the children would be here SATURDAY to accept an award for their father.

Even my dad was convinced because he "saw it on CNN and they are respected journalist"...pff, I told my dad you can't believe everything and it was a rumor..but my dad was sooo convinced..

Perhaps not? Joe could be wrong. Or he might be right. I don't know if there will be time for the kids to give a speech before the perfomances & Earth Song 3-D video. Now the media is claiming the kids might be there Sunday night:

As the Grammy Awards prepare to honor the late King of Pop with a Lifetime Achievement Award, Joe Jackson says he is proud to have his grandchildren accept the award on his son's behalf.

According to reports, Michael Jackson's two eldest children, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael, 12, are scheduled to take the stage at Saturday's Special Merit Awards ceremony at L.A.'s Wilshire Ebell Theater.

"I am very proud that my son, Michael Jackson, is a recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's Grammy," Joe Jackson said in a statement Saturday. "However, there [have] been some recent rumors that I am displeased with the idea that Michael's children are accepting the award on my son's behalf. On the contrary, I am very proud of my grandchildren. Katherine and I are the ones that [have] initiated their participation."

But it remains unclear whether the children will make an appearance, as other reports claim, onstage for the Grammy telecast on Sunday.

The tribute planned for the telecast includes a 3-D film clip the pop sensation made before his death in June and performances by Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Celine Dion and Smokey Robinson.

"I thank the Recording Academy for their honor and know that Michael would have been very pleased to receive such recognition," Joe Jackson continued. "I am very proud of my family and I will continue to seek justice for my son."

Joe's lackey Brian Oxman said Joe wasn't happy. He is calling his own lawyer a liar...great.

Disregard the typo at the end. I think he meant: I will continue to seek MONEY from my son.

Wow, all this anticipation and when it finally comes time...

1. They don't even let the home viewers watch Michael's tribute video.

2. The kids are nowhere on screen...just Frank Dileo. Touching speech he gave but it's just not what I was expecting. I was kind of looking forward to seeing the children. Well, maybe it's best this way. Or maybe they will appear at the actual Grammy telecast tomorrow. This is all so confusing.

I really doubt they will be going to the Grammys. If they weren't ready for today, then they will certainly not be ready for tomorrow. I expect none of them to show up.

I think the confusion was because it was said that they were going to be accepting a Special Merit Lifetime Achievement Award - those were presented in the ceremony tonight.

DONT y'all remember what happened in 2006 WMA? They said Mike would be performing Thriller...But Mike didnt even know about it. And some fans went to the morning show and said how upset they were that Michael didnt perform...And how it was a waste of time...

I loved What Delio said...about Michael calling and saying "Can you believe what this person said on the Grammys tonight?"...and he'd laugh histerically and hung up...:lol:

Dont slauther the family cuz they didnt come. They might have a good reason. I think the award is gonna be given again and a family will accept it tommrow...

This is a possibility. I think the children may have gotten cold feet, but who knows.
