Formule 1

It was good for that Kubica won in Canada. Congratulations to him for taking the maximum points. For us, it was better that he got the ten points and not my main rivals, who are now just three points ahead of me.

The BMWs have always been there and have always scored points. When something has gone wrong for us, they managed to take a nice lead. I'm not too worried about that, but obviously, if they keep scoring each time then it will be hard to catch them up in the championship.
BMW's have been very strong and if they continue this way I believe they will become Ferrari's main rivals.
But I'm sure they know what's the situation and I trust that their car is better than BMW's and I just hope that anything or anyone won't ruin Kimi's races anymore like has happened in two previous races.

Btw, Kimi had his wedding ring in the picture :giggle: He doesn't wear it too much.

^^I don't know if that is his wedding ring or not, it's a silver ring. I've heard some rumours about their marriage??!! Is it in bad situation or would they divorce... I hope these are just the tabloid talk again. I want to see him happy!

Here is a cute story:

There are the Red Bulletin magazine's hostesses in every race. They have a competition at every race: who's going to collect more autographs from the F1 pilots? There are some funny and cute stories. Once one of the girls would have liked to give one issue to Jenson Button, but he misunderstood the situation and sign it to the girl and gave the magazine back to her. In Monaco the opposite happened: one girl collected a lot of autographs, but Kimi's still was missing. And then he came... The girl gave the magazine to Kimi -- who thought the girl would have liked to give him the magazine and because he likes to read it -- thanked it politely and walked away. Once he noticed that it was not the aim of this girl and saw the autographs in it he realised the story behind the newspaper. So he took that issue with him to Montreal in order to give it back to the owner... How cute!

And these are two positive comments from Hungarian KR fans. I hope they are right and I feel the same. I'm pessimistic in general but in this situation I try to be optimistic. I'm afraid of Massa the best ... :(

1. I think (feel) Kimi goes to the right direction. He believes in his car. He knows what he wants to do. I feel the wind of the win.

2. Keep it cool Kimi! Do it right, do it clever! You will be the winner not just in France, but in Silverstone, and you will be the best in Germany and in Hungary. Valencia is a tricky track, you never know, then there will come Spa and Monza, those races will be yours again. Singapore - we don't know it yet, so it's tricky again, Fuji is a big question mark because of the weather, but China and Brasil is yours.

I haven't heard it, I pray that it's not true! I don't want them to divorce, they're my favourite couple
Their wedding rings are silvergold so it looks like silver.

^^^I pray for it also! They look lovely together!

I didn't know that their wedding ring is silvergold. I like silvergold, it looks unique. :)

Alonso to decide F1 future by July

Fernando Alonso's second tenure at Renault is likely to end at the close of the current season, according to the latest reports from Spain.

The former world champion signed a one year contract for 2008, with an option to automatically include 2009 should the French team reach certain performance targets by the British Grand Prix in July.

But with Alonso unlikely to be compelled to stay next year, the newspaper Diario Sport claims that he will shortly inform Renault bosses of his intention to move on - probably to BMW Sauber.

The newspaper said Alonso must contractually either commit to Renault, or inform the team of his intention to leave, no later than July 31.

Another funny thing!!! :toofunny:

One Ferrari fan reported Lewis Hamilton at the police station after that pit lane accident. He even fill in an insurance data format to show how was the accident happened... :toofunny: The police said "The race track is not the part of the vehicular traffic so it's not our responsibility..."

Here's the pic about that format:

and here's another funny pic/drawing:

It looks like he was in a good, joking mood (with Vettel)

Alonso - to BMW ? I wonder if that happends does one of current BMW drivers move to McLaren? Kubica maybe? Kubica and Hamilton - that would be interesting!
These spectaculations are always so nice imo. I can't wait to see who's driving with who next year.
I hope someone is driving with Kimi..

LMAO did someone really do that!? :lmao:
Thanks for the pics too, those tattoos fit Kimi so well.. And there's the ring again!

^^I'm sure Kimi will be in F1 in 2009. In my opinion the question mark is : what would happen after 2009 with him?

I think Kubica and Alonso would be in BMW team together - it means no job in BMW for Heidfeld

Actually he did it, his name is Matteo Golfetto.:clapping:

Yeah, I think that too, that the tattoos fit Kimi well (though I don't like tattoos at all).

I tell you, he really was in a good mood in Canada - at least till the accident happened

Btw, we are about to beat the "US presidential election" thread!!! Yay! We rock!!! :punk:

Now there's only one huge thread left to beat which is the "Great religious debate" thread. It has 807 replies, but it's dead now, so we can reach it easily. I think by the end of the F1 season we would reach the 1.000 replies. :angel:I hope the 1000th post will be where someone announces that Kimi has won his 2nd championship in a row! :angel:It would be great!

Yeah, that would be so cool! 1000th post deserves to announce something great

Aww that first pic! :D
I hope now that Kimi is wearing his ring almost in every pic that it's a sign that everything is OK in their marriage..

I made a poll about who you think will win World Championship this season.. I just wrote one name wrong.. Lewis Alonso

^^^I voted! Who do you think I voted for? Is it a question? :D

Sometimes he wears the ring sometimes not. Maybe it's a bit disturbing during the races? For example Massa wears his ring always, and Alonso, too.

@ the first pic I posted: He's like a little boy from the school, isn't he? :)

Hmm let me think.. you voted for Alonso? :cheeky:

I know, it's so cute! Like he's running away the teachers who have caught him doing something he shouldn't be doing :D

We have done pretty good job here beating almost every thread..:clapping: And we had to even start it over once! We are the champiooonsss :D

 you crack me up, of course I did vote for.... KIMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cheeky:

Great minds think alike again! I was thinking about the same thing while looking at that pic. Like he did some prank and wants to hide away.

Yeah, I didn't even think we could beat all these threads!

There's probably 1 page about other drivers and the rest 23 are about Kimi..
But we have at least been in subject - which is F1 - all the time, which seems to be very hard in other threads :D

^^^you are right! :)

Others could have come here also, but it seems we are the ones who are real and dedicated fans of F1 (and Kimi of course). Or we are not lazy to post.

I tried to discuss everything about Kimi on MJNO but nobody cared so I thought I'd make here with the name F1 (so in general about F1) but it soon became a Kimi thread... I don't mind, I could talk about him continuously...:D

Not to forget that this thread is alive mainly because of you and I (and Mechi).

Heikki Kovalainen on Magny-Cours

How do you rate the Magny-Cours circuit?

"I’ve always loved racing at this place. For a racing driver it’s a bit of a challenge as there are some very high-speed corners and a couple of fast chicanes - and you can’t just throw the car into them, it requires a lot of precision. They’re the sort of corners I really love."

Some of your best races this year have been affected by bad luck, has that affected you?
As I’ve been saying all season, I’m gradually getting to grips with this car even if the results haven’t backed it up. And I really enjoy Magny-Cours so I’m looking forward to making progress throughout practice and being in a very good position for the race itself."

How would you evaluate your current position in the championship?
"I’m not really looking at the points tables at the moment. The world title is still wide open, and having an opportunity to score good points in France will only help me. I’m still absolutely determined to get my first win under my belt."

Come on, Heikki! Get yourself together and show us a great racing!!!! Show us and your team-mate that you are good enough!!!:punk:

Oh please let Heikki do well in France  He deserves it.

Oh please let Heikki do well in France  He deserves it.

yeah, he deserves it definitely!

It's time to steal some points from his team-mate. Like Massa did with Kimi, but I hope from this time on it will be the opposite: so Kimi will be better than Massa. :fortuneteller: Like Kimi did last year, becoming better and better from the middle of the season. I want to see him winning the races! More and more!:clapping::clapping:

wow, finally some success for Piquet Jr.

Piquet tops the final day in Barcelona

Nelson Piquet gave himself a confidence boost as he ended the Barcelona tests at the top of the timesheets for Renault. Piquet, under pressure to perform after a poor start to his career with the French-owned team, completed 112 laps and recorded a best lap time of 1:20.076s, a second faster than Luca Badoer’s best time on Friday.

Pedro de la Rosa was second fastest in the McLaren Mercedes and just four-tenths of a second adrift while Thursday and Friday pace-setter Badoer had to be content with the third fastest time today for Ferrari.

Mark Webber took over at Red Bull Renault and set the fourth fastest time just under a second slower than Piquet while Timo Glock continued for a second day in the Toyota and was fifth fastest.

Nick Heidfeld took over at BMW Sauber as Robert Kubica was on promotional duties in Poland. Heidfeld, the runner-up to his team-mate in Montreal, managed the sixth fastest time. Rubens Barrichello was seventh fastest for Honda ahead of Nico Hulkenberg in the Williams Toyota and Sebastian Vettel in the Toro Rosso.

The drivers will next take to the track in free practice next Friday at Magny Cours.

Barcelona - 14/06/2008

1. N. Piquet - Renault R28 - 1.20.076 (0.000) - 112 laps

What do they say? Is it Kimi's new boat? Some Hungarian KR fans in a forum say that one of the half naked people is Kimi on the boat...
I can't see the video but in the text it says
Perjantaiaamun Huomenta Suomessa koettiin hauska yllätys, kun Helsingin Katajanokalla tehdyn haastattelun aikana taustalla lipui kovin tutun näköinen luksuspursi. Kimikö se siellä päiväajelulla? Katso kyseinen kohta ohjelmasta.
Which means..
In Friday morning there was fun surprise in Huomenta Suomi (Good Morning Finland) -tv show when during an interview in Katajanokka, Helsinki, there was a boat that looked very familiar in the backround. Is it Kimi there cruising?

So.. I think it was Kimi.. ? Shame I can't see the video, I had to turn my computer on again after I first tried to watch it.
