I'm glad Buffon saved it. Italy hasn't been deserved that penalty kick!!! The referee was blind.

Poor Italians, looks like everything against them. :sad:

Mostly the bad luck :)


3 mistakes from referees in 2 matches:

1. During this match they almost got a penalty kick and
2. the first "almost" goal was not off-side,
3. at the first match against Holland the first goal should have been nullified like Sunset Driver said.

I don't think so. Buffon pulled that player outside the field but the player didn't do anything to come back to the game though he wasn't injuried so it was a goal.
If a player is outside the field but is not injuried he will be counted in a game.

Anyway, I'm so nervous about this second match, Holland vs. France. I have no idea which team to support, so I hope it ends a tie.

I'm not an expert but our commentators and referees (one of them was a referee at a final match in a world championship back in the 90's) said it shouldn't have been a goal.

:eek: It's 1-0 for Holland only 15 minutes after the beginning.

Ok, well I'm not an expert either but all our commentators and referees have said it was right and they were happy the referee kept his decision because it was a goal.

I guess we'll never know lol :lol: But I think it was goal.


Go Holland! But then again.. I love France too :unsure:
 
Edwin Van Der Sar is amazing!

I am very exited about the rest of this championship at this moment.
 
It seems to me that at least 3 team could win the championship. It looks great because they are 3 of my fav teams.

Portugal, The Netherlands, Spain

I can't wait the following matches.

I would like Spain to win it, but then again, Sweden is our neighbour and I would like them do well, too, and their also the only Scandinavian country.. :smilerolleyes: :scratch:

I don't want to be a :fortuneteller: but I think Spain would win it, they showed their very best against Russia in the first round and it seems no one could stop them.

Spain should have got a penalty kick from that last situation where Villa was cut down.
And then he ends the game while Spain still got attack going on.. blah.
